As you read through the given RC (split the passage into arguments and ascertain the placement of the argument as you embark further along the passage, doing so gives you idea of the author's headspace while composing the Rc) Some guidelines to eliminate VARC options:- 1) No hasty generalizations 2) word traps with same words but different meaning(cause -effect order being different etc.,) 3)Extremities or strongly worded options 4)verbatim copy(especially in inference questions): read carefully 5) Too broad or too narrow 6) Not backed by passage/lack of solid reasoning in passage to conclude an option 7) word play (change of words to trick you which significantly deviates from point conveyed in passag) 8) Strictly no external knowledge 9)Tonal switch: 10) Quality to quantitiy transition and vice versa in the passage to option
This is a panacea for VARC!! This video is a great help to those who are self-preparing for CAT. The other ("VARC attempt") video is a bonus. Great Going Priya!
Now that we have learnt about the 14 ways, could you please make a video and solve RCs of any previous year paper (preferably 2022) and show us how to apply these techniques in those passages? Would help a lot!
my marks are fluctuating right now , so this is gonna be the best way to conquer on it through these last time amazing techniques , thanks Priya to sharing such kind of content ... just keep sharing it .

Hey first of all Thankyou so much!! For over an hour, I am sitting with the video making my own notes. Just wanted to highlight that in tip 7, the RC is incomplete, because what you were reading out was a lil different than what was presented on the screen. Nevertheless, I initially had thought that VARC came naturally to me and that I would be good that it, but my accuracy % said a different story. Your video gives me a ray of hope. I am making detailed notes. will have a look at the 2022 paper solving post this. God bless you!!

Hi. Can you please release/make a video for Parajumbles and other VA. Before CAT 2023. It would be lovely help... My score keeps fluctuating in VARC and I'm sure with some effort I'll be able to maximise it
1 question I have. What were your mock scores and percentiles and how Mock helped you. It will be nice if there is a video on mocks. Low scores in Mock are domotivating me,even though I am making constant progress.
A great video, Priya Chatterjee Ray! I liked the way you explained everything using previous year examples and elaborated on each and every concept. I have a question: How can I increase my focus from the 1st passage to the last passage? While solving, we also need a lot of focus. How can we improve it?
Mam i am facing one problem in RC ... Generall It is absolutely no worry to solve RC But specifically I always get it wrong when question is being asked about the assumption we can make out of RC 😢 Please enlighten me on Assumption problems as well... Shall be very thankful😊

(Reading isn't my hobby except academic books so please dont suggest reading more😅..also i have no one to communicate with in English) Thanks again!❤
Hi mam I have been preparing for a cat for the last 1 year I have seen practice seen concepts and applied all things but my score are not increasing , Now I am thinking there is an issue in approach , Please suggest should I go for personal guidance from somebody who can check my approach or correct it or should I go towards more practice ... Any classes available or anything we can connect please let me know 😢
Mam I am from CSAT batch. I wanted to know... Is there any difference between inference, assumption and implies..what is asked in CSAT RC... Is there any different approach?
