Honestly, this hit me a lot harder then the Volo twist. I didn't care about Volo but you put so much time and effort into helping these people. Doing requests and helping them out and then they toss you out like you haven't carried out every stupid whim of theirs.

Man, it would be so cool if there was a Banished exile nuzlocke mod out there where you choose to stay exiled and fend off in the wilderness with no assistance, no purchasable items, no exchangeable pokemon, nothing. Up until the ending where you choose to stay with the village or go off to the Diamond or Pearl settlement.

Man when this happened in my game I was like "Time to crush the village then. Giratina'll take you all." *disappear into darkness* "I'll have revenge. I was always here to help you.. you'll regret this" man sadly it was only a phase. I felt so hurt ngl but also I felt like I could just destroy them with ease 😂

I'm replaying PLA rn, and I'm fully planning on letting the Jubilife rot under the Red Sky while I screw off in the wilderness. Screw Jubilife and Kamado in this game. I haven't worn the Galaxy Team uniform in my main save since the banishment and I took it off in my second save as soon as the game let me.

Oh man! This whole arc was very emotional.

I remember how ticked I got. Guilty until proven innocent is the worst. I suppose it makes sense since that was the way it was a long, long time ago, but still. I was more upset over getting kicked out then I was with Volo. Honestly, I wouldn't have had a problem in JOINING Volo if that cursed village found me THAT disposable. Darn Kamado. My headcanon is that my character, Elspeth, joins Volo in creating a new world and Kamado is the first to get wiped out. At the hands of the very Pokemon that Laventon gave me. ...Jeez, I should write a story, haha!

An interesting compliation. It does hurt to be banished by those you took you in. At least you gave Kamado a proper pokemon pummeling to have him admit his errors. I hope you don't mind this, but you could do different reaction compliations of other bits like: The hisuian starters fully evolved The introductions to the lord battles (mainly Hisuian Avaalug) The origin forms of Dialga and Palkia Meeting Arceus. Again, I'm not pushing you. Just some ideas you can do on your own time. Thanks again.

Thank you for sharing your point. If I hadn't bought the game and played it to the end I wouldn't have been this emotional. This would have been lot easier if the ESRB rated this game as TEEN then such plot twist is tolerable for me. It's rated for EVERYONE. There is no way I can accept such a rating with these sensitive topics in mind. The story is way too heavy for me. I'm glad to hear that you're okay with this. You're right. It's just a game. Unfortunately, History is going to tell us otherwise: 1. The Electric Soldier Porygon Episode. 2. The Golbat Pokemon TCG swastika/manju incident. 3. The Jynx Blackface episode. As far as we try to deny it, it does affect people even if it is just a game because there are themes incorporated that have Social and Political impact coming from the Largest Gaming Franchise in the World, exceeding Disney itself. When such institution reaches that kind of level, there is absolutely no way such topics can be avoided especially in the core games. I haven't played Mystery Dungeon but thank you for sharing this I can try this soon and get more insights.

This scene is ABSOLUTELY PURE RACISM, THE VILLAGER'S NARROW-MINDEDNESS AND ABUSE. How Gamefreak's writers even had the gall to think this up and incorporate it into a supposedly video game for kids is really beyond me. Does the Player or you have to prove himself/herself EVERY TIME to earn the villager's trust only for Commander Kamado to exile your character to the point of threatening to put you in chains all because your character fell out of the sky????? Pathetic and irritating. But it's too late for me, personally. I already bought a copy of the game before I watched this video to warn me beforehand. Things like these are very SENSITIVE and are NOT EXPECTED TO BE TAKEN THAT CARELESSLY BECAUSE THERE ARE GAMERS HERE WHO EXPERIENCED THE MOST HORRIFIC AND DASTARDLY ABUSE AND RACISM IN THEIR LIVES THAT PLAYING THIS SCENE CAN CAUSE TRAUMA TO THEM ONCE AGAIN. GAMEFREAK WRITERS, YOU SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER! (They won't be able to see this anyway let alone in english so what's the point?) My deepest apologies, guys, for this sudden outburst. I was a victim of racism and abuse and seeing this scene really made my blood boil and when all is said and done the freaking villagers including the NPC's who rejected the Player's pleas for aid have not even the gall to apologise afterwards and act as if nothing happened. I'm looking at you, BENI FROM JUBILIFE VILLAGE WHO HAS BEEN AN A-HOLE FROM THE START AND I HOPE YOU BURN, YOU M-Fing NPC! Well, I guess I have no choice but to complete the game since I already spent my hard-earned cash on it. But the game UTTERLY FAILS ON REPLAYABILITY DUE TO SOCIAL ISSUES. For you guys who are only focused on the core mechanics and gameplay, I'm all for you. The game is great in that aspect but adding sensitive social topics to a game just for an excuse of having a FRESH FEEL to the story is utter BS when it is not executed properly. And boy did Gamefreak's writers had failed at that. This is what you get from Japan's homogenous and insular social culture on how so-called, GAIJINS (foreigners) are treated even up in Japan up to this day. Of course, it does not give them the leeway to do what they want in Japan but as human beings they deserve equal protection, representment and rights like any other civilised society. You see now, Gamefreak writers, how you have blown this into a full social issue because of your bumbling in handling this sensitive social issue for a children's game? Most won't mind, definitely but for those who will relate based on their personal experiences will do. Remember, a Great Video Game is not just about GAMEPLAY but also GAMING EXPERIENCE. Pokemon Legends: Arceus is an action RPG and as an RPG THE STORY DOES MATTER. Period. Have I forgotten to say that the Player is 15 years old? Can I add one more charge to that: CHILD ABUSE. Exiling a child into the wilds may have been acceptable in that time period but will never work in Real Life. Try it, and see what happens. The Hisuian people, according to Gamefreak were supposed to be modelled after the AINU, an indigenous and marginalised ethic group located in the island of Hokkaido. Most Ainus like any other marginalised people are still struggling to have representation and a place in Japanese society and Gamefreak's writers could have done WAY BETTER in making the story in a Better Light.
