Picked up the Zion 2s on a major sale, and due to your rec. I was a bit worried due to mixed reviews, but man, these shoes are an unbelievable fit for me. Wide flat feet, I always find my feet squished into shoes, and these are truly a rare find.

KD14 have been great for me as a wide footer! I tried the KD15 and it was too narrow and when I tried sizing up, the heel slippage was even worse…

Thank you! I like the Harden Vol. 6 better, full length Boost is an amazing setup and great impact protection. Better padding too in my opinion, the achilles cushion pads are more responsive and comfortable.

Yes they are good for wide footers. The pink ones in the picture are the thinner mesh ones, the one I wore on feet isn’t. If I do get one I’ll probably do a comparison 😃🙏

Hey, you can go with the same size. The Zoom Separate fits true to size.

2E feet here. The Zion 2 does *not* work for feet of this width. Worse yet, a half size up doesn't work either. The pinky toe gets squished by the pad on the outside of the forefoot that is part of the strap system. The Trae Young 1 does fit TTS, but they are a bit long. The width is _just_ right at TTS, so you cannot size down in these to eliminate the extra length.

Thanks for your input as 2E! I just have the opposite experience with the Zion 2, very flexible fit in the forefoot for me especially. Was it just a try-on for you? They do take some time to break in maybe that’s why?

@@Phyziks0 If you can get wider options like the East Asia models of some shoes, that may help. Chinese brands as well, like the Lou Williams model from Peak. I still like the OMN1S from New Balance too, because they offer a wide version of those. I'd like to try the new Freak 4 too, since I liked the Freak 1. I enjoyed the Curry 8 too, going a half size up.

About the same amount of space inside and both are true to size to me. But the Zion 2 fit can get tricky, I do know some who really didn’t like the toe box fit while I personally enjoyed it. So try them on first if you can 😃

As a flat foot wider footer myself, the Trae Young 1s have destroyed my toes. Everytime I play competitively they get so bruised up but I can't size down despite the heel slippage cause they are so tight around my mid foot and toe box... Anyone else experience these with TY1s?

These shoes work with the Peloton bike+ (April 2022), ru-vid.comUgkxGPkov2mNjgZfG33r6Bwvies8jKE4AKZB and are of good enough quality. I have completed 10 rides so far and there are no issues. The first time trying to fit them on the Peloton bike took 10 minutes (even with the help of an experienced cyclist friend who wears the same type of cleats). It took a couple of rides to break in. After the first two rides there were no issues at all.

Half size up. If you go full size up you might as well just pass on the shoe in my opinion, that kinda defeats the purpose of having such a guard shoe like those two. Hope that makes sense.

Yup for sure some shoes will break in nicely over time, so the tightness goes away. But ones that never broke in for me were the KD 15, Giannis Immortality 2 & Cosmic Unity 2. Not that they’re bad or anything, just not good for wide footers. I don’t mind have a snug fit at times but they just can’t squeeze my feet too much to a point where it’s uncomfortable you know…

Hi. Yeah most brands today don’t provide different width options, especially when it comes to performance basketball shoes. So a lot of times with the fit, it’s just either a yes or no with that silhouette.

Thank you Tommy for sharing this list! If you don’t mind, I’d like to ask a more elaborated question here. I do have wide feet like you, but I also have flat feet as well and personally love sneakers with good cushion. For instance I really love Puma MB01 coz the cushion is really on point and I found it really comfortable when hooping or simply just wearing casually for walks outside. What specific models do you have in mind that could be good choices for myself? Appreciate!

Hey, appreciate you watching! Good question and I also have very flat feet. Shoes that worked best for me are the PG 6, New Balance Two Wxy V2, and Harden Vol. 6. Other than that, the Curry 3Z6 is a good budget shoe that works well for flat footers. I also have video on the best basketball shoes for flat feet, you can check it out and see if that helps?
