I bought a pair of Puma clyde all-pros during the sale too lmao. I am convinced they are the best or top 3 of 2021 BB shoes. The comfort is unreal for a basketball shoe, and traction is insane. Such an amazing shoe at a value price
I got the Puma Clyde all pros after your review last year on special and they are the best basketball shoes I've played in since the Pro bounce 2018 lows. Never played in the Kobe 9s since I couldn't afford them at their time of release but I'm so happy with these all pros. Thanks for the videos
@@ricaaat not very high to begin with XD but I think it helps you jump quicker with these as the foam doesn't sink in very much when you put pressure when you are preparing to jump. I don't think I actually jump higher
I have the Clyde all pros mid blacks Man they're fire for both hooping and looking good They're the perfect shoes for me if you ask me I do have different running shoes but i only use them to do my basic cardio and plyometrics and everyday run But good god I gotta Clyde all pros are damn good You won't make a mistake if you buy them
got into bball in 2019, got to play for one year before covid (99% of the time outdoors since im in Singapore), and here are my top three: 1. PG 2.5 EP These things fit my feet really friggin well, like honestly the fit and the lockdown is no joke. The strap really helped with further lockdown, even tho it doesnt look the prettiest. Since i play mainly outdoors, these wore down in 3 months of weekly playing, but while the traction was fresh, it gripped amazingly. only when it started balding did i get increasingly frequent slips on lateral movements. i also busted through the left foot strap for some reason, i guess i put more force on my left than my right 2. Lebron Soldier 12 EP Although im a guard, these were really good. the lockdown felt like a literal sock around my feet, it was snug and i never felt that i was sliding off the footbed or anything like that. you could really feel the forefoot zoom when playing, especially since i was playing outdoors. my feet legit did not ache at all after playing, which is something that cant be said for the pg 2.5s. they really are comfortable. the traction lasted 4 months, and it still hasnt balded completely, thanks to the thick grooves. i did get some slips here and there despite that though, so imma still be regulating them to everyday sneakers. another gripe i have with these is that i cant really move well in them, so they feel a little clunky when playing. also, when i first started wearing them, my right pinky toe was right up against the side of the shoe, and it chafed and grinded my toe in a really painful way. they finally broke in after 3 weeks though, so thankful for that 3. Kyrie 6 EP Now, the only reason these are not at the top of the list is because i bought them in december 2019, and i only got to play 2 games in them. after that the whole pandemic thing started, and i was stuck at home. but during the short time i played in them, the traction was amazing, the zoom turbo was fantastic, and it was my first time getting this much courtfeel and being this low to the ground. the fit was really snug since i went true to size, and i really liked it. strangely enough, the pinky chafing thing i experienced on the soldier 12s was present on this shoe as well, and its still noticeable whenever i wear them, but i hope they break in fast ive got a pair of pg 4s coming my way, got them on sale, not really buying them for performance but more for casual wear, plus being able to play anywhere, anytime if i have those on. kinda liking the look of both the zipped up shroud and the unzipped shroud. im also curious to see how comfortable the air strobel is, since everyone really likes it
Wow!! myself a fellow Ball player in Singapore, was using Superfly 2017 for 5 years and now i finally upgrading to Luka 1, since our country mostly has the concrete court so must be decent enough to last
Damn that little clip of you playing on those KD’s really shows how bouncy and cushioning they are. What I love about the KD range is the sheer variety of colours and concepts they release in and they’re all fresh

My favorite is still the Jordan 34s. I wear those anytime I go hoop. I liked the PG5s but the traction didn't hold up outside as it did indoors ... I almost screwed up my knees (stay true to size on those, if you're going to get them). My 2nd are the Kobe 6 (Potro; grinch), they are so nice! Last one are the 13s ... I've been wearing 13s for a long time, they are my go-to. I need to try those Pumas though. Puma has always made good shoes for comfortable running.
I still love hooping in my Jordan 34’s. But I just played in the Clyde all pro for the first time, and holy crap are they nice! Probably will be my go to for a while
KD14s are definitely better than the Curry 8’s imo. If you’re a slasher and you sometimes do hard landings, you can kinda feel the impact with the Curry 8’s (and it does hurt). On the KD14s tho, no problems at all. Support is also a little better on the KD’s

I've hooped outdoors in 3 shoes the past 12 months, and here's the results: 1) KD 13 - Loved this for outdoors. Great traction, double-stacked FLZ, and the form-fitting sole is clutch. Too bad the rubber is wearing off quicker than what I'd like. I just do shoot-arounds, haven't balled against others, and it's showing like it'll wear out. But it's great, and the cushion is star here. 2) Zoom Court GP Turbo - Not a bball shoe, it's a tennis one, but it's FLZ, and really high quality traction and durability. It's great to wear casually as well, but great value shoe. 3) Kyrie 6s - Zoom Turbo is definitely fun to play in, but the rubber wore out also kinda fast, and for concrete it's not enough cushioning. I've worn mine out outside, but it would've been okay for indoor I think. Still, more knee soreness here for sure compared to KD 13. But you do feel more mobile in these.
I am actually looking for a pair of outdoor basketball shoes as I am getting back into basketball just casually thanks to you Chris! Just me on my own shooting some hoops but I don’t go to hard as I am currently playing in AM90’s 🤷🏻♂️ Going to be looking for some pumas now mind! I bought the puma Clydes because of your 2020 review and now they’re in my rotation with my Kobe 9 Elites, which I wore for the first time probably a few months before the pandemic. I wanna keep Kobe 9s as long as possible so the Clydes have been really great!!
1. Way of Wade all City 9 (multiple pairs) 2. Li-ning Speed 7 (multiple pairs) 3. Nike Cosmic Unity (a distant third I should add) They won't get the recognition deserved because they're a Chinese Brand, but in my opinion Li-ning DOMINATED this season in terms of performance and aesthetics. I haven't played in the Curry 8 thought I've heard nothing but good things about it.
Got the All Pro's in the Elf colorway and it's definitely one of the best shoes of all time let alone the past two years, I've just been wearing the Kobe 9s recently instead

I just retired my primeknit crazy explosives after having them for like 5 years. I loved those shoes. Wish I’d never have to buy anything else but they don’t make them anymore
I like the question about indoor/outdoor shoes, l love the answer even more. I’m the same way, I can’t hoop in a shoe indoor once I used them outdoors. I always wondered if YT performance reviewers clean their shoes if the bring it back indoor from using them outdoors. - Shoes I love wearing since getting back on the courts: Kobe 6 Protro and the GT cut.
do the GT cuts have a similar court feel to the kobe 6 protos, trying avoid having my grinchs turn into beaters and have been looking at the cuts recently
I love my Curry 8s. Definitely my favorite shoe of the year. The upper is so comfy. The midsole is good too. I have 2 pairs of the All-pro. They're pretty nice but I don't think the cushion is that great. I'll maybe get some KD14s on sale but I have the 13 and don't think they're that much different.
Cool video, I liked your top 3. My top 3, in no certain order are the Puma Clyde Hardwood, the KD 13, and the Kyrie 7, but I had to go up half a size on the Kyrie because the sizing is so weird on those. Thanks again for doing what you and Mrs Wing do!
I've still got a backlog of shoes to test out, but the shoe that has impressed me the most hast been the zoom freak 2's. I was surprised...I have 4 pairs of these! The cushion is a bit stiff giving you court feel, but when you land, you feel the impact protection from the cushion. The traction also has a fantastic bite and I love the way the shoe fits, plush tongue, achilles padding, materials with the cordura mesh on some models. The aesthetics and colorways put these shoes over the top for me.
2 shoes that I want to grab if the courts open up here on this list, the curry’s and the brandblack’s. 👌🏽 The puma’s probably my 3rd choice on the list.
I can't speak on what basketball shoes are at the top for this year or last year. But what I can say is that the Nike PG3 basketball shoes I've been using for over a year (thanks to a WearTesters review, I pulled the trigger) have been amazing for me. I will always be watching these videos in the future for my potential next basketball shoe.
The Way of Wade all City 9 is a great shoe for me this year. I have the Way of Wade 9 Rose on the way. Luckily I got the last pair in my Size from Amazon.
Haven’t bought anything new lately because of the lockdown (KD’s and GT Cuts are probably my next pairs) so the past month I have been enjoying reexperiencing my favorite pairs I’ve kept over the years. Kobe 11 Elite Low, Kyrie 2, Curry 2. Some all time great shoes.
Right now I’m playing with the Adapt BB 2.0 I feel super secure. They are sturdy and the PG4s are mad comfy… just started getting some of the Kawhi shoes and the Two way… need to use those more see how I feel. I’ve wanted a pair of the Clydes but haven’t had a chance to get them. Great video looking forward to more content
To me those Kd 14's are the best of both worlds both lifestyle and on court performance is a major win for Nike but those Kd 13's were pretty dope too but nunthin like the 14's Nike did it with the Kd 14's and praying that the 15's next year be fiya too another dope review bro love it 💯

Dude, the outside/inside shoe should be law. I actually play indoors with the show and when I buy a new pair, I play with those outside. They "demote" I gues haha. Great video! My go to has been the KD13 in the rare size 13.5, been great to play in. Light, fantastic traction, picks up no dust, fit works but I tape a few toes to avoid blisters. Looking forward to trying the KD14 when the black and red colorway drops, as long as it is in 13.5
Man I got a By You PG5 since I got inspired with your performance review when you used that translucent glow in the dark soles outdoors and saw there's not much fraying, but my solid ones are soft af for some reason and I don't think I can play with these outdoors. Welp, indoor exclusive pair it is then. Hope gyms open up soon here in our place.

OMG! I've NEVER been a huge fan of buying EXPENSIVE shoes especially multiple pairs of expensive shoes... That being said a ball'n friends of mine at our local gym sold me a pair of the KD 14's in a half size too large for $40 & knowing he'd recently gone through a permanent traumatic event gave him an extra $10 for the used purchase. When I say HOLY SHIT BAT BOY THESE ARE THE GREATEST SHOW I'VE EVER WORN I MEAN IT!!! Living in Iowa we don't seem to get the best or coolest color ways etc. With sizes also usually being picked over your pretty much stuck with whatcha get I went to our local Scheels and shelled out the $160 with tax price to get a full size difference and am looking for some shoe stretchers bc grip PLUS the feeling this shoe have walking around on court, on concrete, and (THIS LITERALLY SURPRISED THE SHIT OUTTA ME!) on slick concrete in the FREAKING RAIN the bottom gripped the ground like a pair of slicks upon launch!!! I'll be 48 in 3 months, have had to get both hips replaced through years of service and hard charging with this being my very first year playing in a men's indoor city b-ball league I NEEDED something responsive yet grippy and with a decent amount of cushion cause the old joints are ALREADY wearing out. I bought: two pairs of Kyries: flytrap's, the 4 lows, KD 5 9's, PG5'S, and was utilizing some older Curry low tops. I took the PG5'S back, about to take the KD5 9's back, gave the Kyrie lows to my wife who loved the color of them and uses them for Zumba, kept the black and gold Flytrap's, and am waiting on my ordered shoe stretchers to come in so I can rock these new KD 14's on court in my next game! I tested them at the local gym and whoa! The grip and snug fit of these SERIOUSLY have me wondering if I should save up to buy ANOTHER pair for outdoor runs this summer as I LOVE shooting outside also! When I told the other guys at the gym I was gonna use the half size too large pair outside and add my casual shoes who also had some they all jumped back and grimaced as if they'd just seen a bad ankle sprain take place 🤣... THAT'S just how well made these shoes are.
Those pumas are $73 at Sport Chek for all the Canadians in here. Just got mine this week, they still have a couple sizes! You definitely made me do a double take on my pair when you pulled out the mirrored colorways untill you said you got 2!
GT Cut is almost great, but MAD SLIPPERY when fresh out the box, even on an indoor court; forget if there's water! 😳 Puma Clyde All Pro are def underrated! Curry 8 Flow are so light & foam traction. 😌👌 KD 14 RANK SUPREME! BEST shoes for ball rn! HANDS DOWN! 🙌
Top 3: lebron soldier 11, KD 13, Giannis freak 2. The shoe I have bought multiple times because I think they are great are the nike LeBron soldier 11s. In my opinion, best combo of comfort, zoom units and grip and weigh less than the soldier 13s. I will keep buying these for as long as I can find them. The velcro does begin to give out after a year if you play on a weekly basis. I just got a pair of KD 13s and they might be my next go to shoe.

The only shoes I’ve been able to play in for the last year and a half are the Cosmic Unity’s. I have a countless supply of other shoes to try out but like you, idk if I really want to play in them outdoors. The Z02.19, a bunch of KT models, GT Cuts, KD 12’s, Rare Metals 2’s, even way older models like the Hyperdunk 08 and 2012 and more. Courts near me are far too packed with too long of a wait to even play and I really just want to shoot around and work on my game individually at this point, so it doesn’t look like I’ll be inside a gym anytime soon.
My top 3! 1.Puma Clyde all pro 2. And1 Fredd Vanflet 3. Dame 6! I keep at least 2 pair with me when going to the gym. then which out when my feet and legs start hurting. I need to get the curry's but the color I want , they don't sell no more.
I don't get performance shoes very often--I normally stick to a pair for 2-3 years before retiring them, so the shoes I have used aren't "up-to-date." I'd have to say that my top two shoes of all time (so far) have been the LeBron Soldier 9, and the Why Not Zer0.1. Not only are they super bouncy, but they also withstood the test of time AND I got them when they were on ridiculous sales (down to $50). I'm primarily a volleyball player. That being said, I'm excited for the GT Jump.
I bought 5 pairs of Puma All-Pro and 2 of Curry 8. Agreed with you that Curry 8 is better than All-pro in terms of performance but I really love the later for no reason! It just felt comfy and looking good ☺️
My Top-3 sneakers for 2020/21: Li-Ning Sonic VIII Team -- these are fantastic for a budget shoe; Anta KT6 -- I know the highs are bulky, but there's a low-top out now which I think will be suited to more people and perform identically. Traction, cushion and support on these are all excellent; Nike KD13 -- Chris is right that these are worth grabbing on discount. I have no reason to believe the 14s won't be great performers as well. Honourable mentions: Adidas Dame 7; We Are Underdogs NW1
I just bought the Reebok Auto pump Iverson 10 DMX, and so that is my basketball shoe of the year. The comfort is outrageously good. Very stable, great traction, well cushioned. It's a shame we'll never get a retro.
