I have 2. I really like them. Although I wondered why my screws were sticking out inside. After watching this I’ve discovered we put the bottom on upside down 😂. Thank you for this video! Ummm I’ll be in the next room taking apart my enclosures 😂🤦🏼♀️
Due to your video I pulled the trigger, I have had it for almost 3 weeks now and I couldn't be happier. Thank you for your detailed information. I truly appreciate you.
If you add substrate to your bearded dragon enclosure do you have to add the isopods and make it bioactive or is that not required? Also how does this enclosure hold up? People say you shouldn’t use it for a bio active set up due to it being made off wood.
So this isn’t wood it’s like a plastic so will be fine. I have mine bioactive and it’s going on 8 months. Perfectly fine. Also you don’t have to add the isopods and stuff can do just substrate
Just purchased one on Chewy for 214!!! Can’t wait for my baby beardie to have a bigger home. Right now he’s just in a 40 gallon breeder. Sure it’s fine for a baby but damn do beardies grow fast! Super excited!!
I'm planning on getting this Enclosure very soon, but I think there's one minor thing that bugging about this is, how do you fit the wiring probe for the thermostat in the enclosure. I mean it looks like it can't even go through the sliding door cause the door wont be shut all the way. It makes it feel like I have to drill a hole on top of it just to put the wiring probe into the enclosure.
You would put it through the mesh screen top. Depending on the probe if it’s a normal sized one it goes through with ease but if it’s some special one that’s really big might have to cut some mesh a little bit I didn’t. I use the Zilla thermostat
Random but I’m doing 2 home projects at the same time. Redoing my deck and building my enclosure. This is DEFINITELY composite decking!! I’m actually considering it for my deck and it’s guaranteed for 20 years…also snaps together and has those plastic screws! I’m actually now considering maybe I should have done this material for both projects. If it holds up outside with 20 years of foot traffic then it’s definitely holding up in an enclosure.
It feels much sturdier than lots of pvc enclosures though that was my biggest gripe with pvc enclosures. Basically a foam enclosure felt like I could snap em in half 😂
What do you do when he poops? Do you scoop it out or leave it? Sorry, im new to all of this & want to make sure my baby will have the healthiest environment b4 getting him.
Question i was gonna get this for my dragon it says the dimensions is 48x24x22 but says its only 95 gallons not 120 so wiuld it still work for an adult dragon? Just dont wanna get the wrong size
Yeah it’ll work people were complaining cause the inside is not 4x2x2 but we do not measure the 4x2x2 tanks by the inside but the outside. All 4x2x2s are not 120 on the inside. Just outside. This is one inch short cause mine measures 23 inches tall 24 inches wide and 48 inches long.
I don’t do drainage layers haven’t for years. Some plant people told me it’s an old myth and doesn’t do anything good for the plants actually causes root rot most of the time. Stopped and my plants grow crazy now.
I have the same enclosure and I love it and I’m going to try to make it look this nice and beautiful like yours, thanks to your recommendations my bearded dragon feels happy
I’ve been looking for affordable enclosures for a dragon and this looks like a top contender!!! I do have a random question tho,,, if I made a diy background on this modal( like the exspanding foam and coco fiber method) do you think it would hold that up? Even if I anchored drift wood to the walls? And would that spike the humidity to high for the beardy? I’m just trying to research as Much as I can before I get a bearded dragon and this channel is really helping me so I THOUHGT I’d ask! Keep up the great work!!!!
Thank you! Yes it would definitely hold it up but spread silicone all over the back of it so it has something to grip onto the walls are very smooth and the foam might not be able to grip it as good
I am about to buy 2 4x2x2 to stack, I am just concerned about stability with the top one being heavy with rocks and branches? Has anyone stacked that size?
@@ChiefSweetsUniverse Oh okay! I wasn’t sure since they seem to sell the pieces for stacking as well. Are there any stackable ones you can recommend? Thanks so much! 😊
so i just got mine and set it all up and i seen other videos about the uvb, i didnt order a arcadia 1 like you but i do have a 22in reptisun T5 HO Hood with a 10.0 UVB bulb, will that be good enough for the uvb to go through ?
I'm a newbie dragon owner. I bought this tank and plan on setting it up similar to yours. How often do you change the substrate? Do you just pick up droppings regularly? Thank you for the video it was very helpful in deciding what to get
Hi chief, I have recently rescued a baby bearded dragon 🐉 and I’m currently in the process of setting up an enclosure for him. Can I please email you for some advice on how to set up the lighting in the particular enclosure I’ve purchased. If yes what email address do I message you on? Thank you 🙏🏽 from Michael In Australia 🇦🇺
Awesome video. I'm waiting for mine to get here. My dragon is about 2 months old and I want him to have a good forever home. Do you have a discord or a place where we can share images of our dragons and set ups?
I just got mine before I seen your video! Really getting into the knowledge of Beardies. I started following FB group to learn more. Now I found you!! 👋 Really enjoy your insight and knowledge. P.S. haven't got my beardie yet but getting ready too!
Thanks for the review! Picked one of these up for $199 which was cheaper than building one! Mounted Arcadia lights (46” UVB and two of their ceramic lamp holder brackets). Finishing building stand and then getting the beardie! So excited! Thanks again.
Do you do anything special to prep the branches? I was wondering if I could find any outside to place but wasn't sure how to make sure I dont bring anything bad inside
For your homemade substrate do you usually bake the soil before ?.. I see some people say to do that but it might be ok not to if it doesn’t have added fertilizer?
@@ChiefSweetsUniversethank you for the advice I went ahead and followed the instructions for part replacement btw yes the instructions are easy but your video made it so quick I love it thank you boss
Could i use this enclosure for my leopard gecko?, i was looking for a non expensive but big enclosure for my guy, but ive only seen this being used by bearded dragons (I'm talking abut the 50 gallon tank btw)
How’s it going! See you keep a lot of lizards I’m curious tho as far as bearded dragons go what would be your highest recommendation for an enclosure I see this is more for the budget side of things but I would like your take on in all in all bearded dragon setup if price wasn’t an issue thanks.
I recently bought this enclosure as a stackable. And the one question I have for it is Based on your experience, do you have any of the insects that come out of the tank? When I saw the slits on the side, I wondered if it's possible the dubia's can climb up an out
hey chief, just got my bearded dragon 2 weeks ago. shes 8 inches long right now but i dont wanna get a 50 gallon when shes bigger and then buy 120 gal for later. If i buy 120 gallons for her in a few weeks will it be too big for her or is it okay for her to just grow into the tank?
Definitely go for the 120 right off the bat nothing is too big she will be fine. I have raised tons of lizards in 120 gallon tanks at 1 month old. All grew up great!
I seen the website states it doesn’t work well with water does that mean misting isn’t good for this enclosure also what’s the ideal size for a juvenile bearded dragon
also what lights did you use for this tank because im thinking about buying one soon. I saw 4 lights on the mesh if i could have the names and bulb watts please
Yes I do have it linked in my Amazon store front but it was two zoo med basking bulbs 100watt. Arcadia 14% t5 24 watt 24 inch uvb. 5000k led daylight led 24 inch fixture

Yes most people like budget but as far as best goes these are some top notch stuff. customreptilehabitats.com/collections/recommended-products-bearded-dragons/products/evolution-4-pvc-reptile-enclosure?sca_ref=5220669.DN5L9gYFoN&
@@ChiefSweetsUniverse thanks for the reply ! I’ve heard mixed reviews on PvC with bearded dragons something about they hold a lot of Heat do you currently have any bearded dragons in PVC?
@@ChiefSweetsUniverse should i? also it gets cold in my area (nj) so id like to get a che for night and two or one 100w and uvb t5 14% im getting a mat for now the “Meridian Zen Mat - for 4'x2 “and some natural rocks and logs from my river (sanitized) go bio after awhile (hes a baby) are that mats alright? sorry for all the questions tryna learn everything
@@ChiefSweetsUniverse it will be here Thursday. I dread that. Is it ok to put my new baby one in that big of an enclosure with the substrate mix you recommend? He’s about 3 months old.
I use zip ties for the uvb. The heat lamps I use a inside mounting fixture i have a whole video about it as well so if you want to see it visually it is on my channel as well
Thank you for your response I was specifically asking about for that enclosure. Did you cut the screen? Drill a hole in the sidewalk? We just purchased that one, should get delivery actually today.
Hello can you help me I took a small bearded dragon and he ate only a small really really small piece of broccoli and little piece the other two days of leaf of broccoli I try worms I try lettuce nothing Thanks
No worries when they are that small they don’t like greens as much so they won’t eat as much I usually just leave it in the cage all day so they can munch on it if they want.
@@ChiefSweetsUniverse ok the temperature is about 87-90°F all day I have two lamps one for heating and one for daylight uvb..I had a red one but now I put a ceramic one..because it’s baby I must get out the wood(I have it substate..I must put paper or something??)..
@@ChiefSweetsUniverse yeah I did that and it’s ok ate a pumpkin and some cabbage leaves unfortunately now I have a small 23w 6.0 uvb lamp better to calcium with D3? and now the tank is not big but in a few weeks I will have a 363 liter one
I just got mine today, in my opinion wouldn't because it's a plastic like material which could melt through the bottom depending on how hot and how close the heat pad is
@ChiefSweetsUniverse I do have a question for you however. Is there any tips to make glass not so reflective? I got an all glass enclosure and instead of buying another dubia enclosure I was curious on how to make this one work to save some cash. Female beardie of mine has been going nuts and I believe it's due to the reflection and she wants to mate.
@nightmarezero8465 also you can spray paint the sides like the aquarium fish hobby guys do As well. I painted mine a almond white and Mello my reptiles out
