Best Beginner screen printing video and starter kit

In this video, I go over the first starter kit I got to start my screen printing business as well as the first video I saw that helped me start my screen printing business.
This just my opinion but this video is the best beginner screen printing video to get your started. It does use waterbased ink but you could easily upgrade to plastisol ink whenever you're ready. Hope this helps you in any way.

Hey sorry if this is a stupid question. I’m just getting starting making my own shirts. Is there a way to permanently burn an image on a screen so that I could conceivably reuse the screen for multiple shirts, even if I wash the paint off. Ideally I’d like to be able to make multiple designs per order and using several premade screens. Seems like the most efficient way to go about this? hope that makes sense. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

You must be using the wrong water based ink, mine lasts forever and doesn't crack like plastisol.

I love seeing these videos. I'm thinking of getting into screen printing. But I'm sticking with the vinyl shirts for now. As for the designs...I do my own designs. I work with the client and ask questions and do a bunch of mock ups until they are happy with the design. Then we move forward.

Considering purchasing this very kit but not to make shirts - but to do printing on acrylic plates. Do you have any idea if water based or plastisol would be better for this kind of application? Thanks in advance!

Es todo Reyes. I just got my starter kit in the correo. Not ryonet though. There seems to be in increase in diy shirts. I got a cheaper brand and it doesn’t comes with everything but I’m lucky cuz I got a homie that works at a screen print supplier and will pick up the rest from there or go on offer up.👍🏾

I print transparency on a regular printer, there are features to print . I use HP my favorite printer since 2001 :) I buy my printers on yard sales for only $5 and I get the ink also for the same price so cheap. My printouts look professional. I also make business cards, greeting cards, etc.

Excellent video, good starter press for basic spot color printing. The best way to get started in the screen printing business from my experience is to get a job working for a screen-printing business. This way you can see all the steps to the screen printing process. You can also determine if the screen printing is for you before you spend money on any equipment.

Great channel and good info. What mesh count do you use for shirts or what do you prefer?I have a frame with 110 but I have been seeing that it should be at least 160 for crisper lines on a T-shirt. I am screen printing at home with no fancy machines. Thanks 👊🏻

Wow thats a lot of work for a shirt. What about using a heat press for shirts? say you need to print a design bigger than what the printer can print? Or how can you print transparent designs so that there is no square around the image? Before this I watched your epson xp 300 photo print shirts. Id like to print my banner as a t shirt logo, but I think it would need to be bigger than paper and I wouldnt want the square around it. So say I have transparent images and I was going to buy a heat press. how do you print transparent logos and what would be the best method without having to use razors to cut everything out?

I'm from the UK and I'm getting charged around 3 pounds per shirt and then I have to pay double the amount for shipping! I bought some shirts the other day, I washed 1 to all the instructions and the shirt shrunk by a size or 2?! That's what I need help with bro.

If you have basic computer skills, and need a simple design you can use Canva. It's free unless you want extra features but I get what I need for free for both my personal instagram, my buisness, and all of the social media accounts for my 9-5 job. I know people are always asking you for design help and advice and while it won't give them everything it could help some people.

hey Reyes, i bought speedball ink and garment ink, a screen (no frame) yet, emulsion and remover and some lil bottle which i forgot it's called.... i still hafta make the frame-- do I need to stretch the screen like canvas or how? I cannot afford that kit u mention--- plus I alredy got some stuff....can you give me a few clues on what im doing? i been writing notes and watching many videos but im still a lil overwhelmed by instructions.... it seems a lotta people do things diff... pz and thanks sincerely; oni

Your process can easily cost over 1200 dollars. I suggest anyone who watches this that seriously wants to get into screen printing take a course at your nearest community college or university and spend that 1200 on the tuition fees and admission. Afterward if its something you like doing work at a tshirt making shop in your area. Then finally once you know what your are doing you can invest in better equipment than this and make your money back. This video is informative on the process but is not cost effective.

the main selling point for using water based ink is that its eco friendly by a loooooong shot. Most people actually wont buy prints if itsnt water based ink

What product did you spray before you placed the shirt on the screen printer?

it’s a Spray Adhesive it helps the shirt stick to the surface so when screen printing it keeps the shirt in place
