JCBro2014 Like you said...pretty good, but this is exceptional to the point where when I even read comics it's the voice I automatically attach to the character!
He had probably the greatest line of all the X-Men in the series. Probably seconded by Gambit. The way I see it, I think they said that since they were gonna make him get his rear end kicked the most so I guess they said they could at least give him the best lines hahaha.
@@Simpsons01111 I used to think that way back when. I really craved it. I remember watching the movie for the first time and hearing the *movie* X-Men theme play, when the X-Men climb out the Blackbird on liberty island, and getting *so* excited because I thought they were going to play the animated theme here cos they shared the first 4 notes. Was so disappointed when they didn't do it but glad they didn't now. There's no doubt they're going to do it when they introduce them in the mcu. You musta caught it when they played it in Dr Strange MoM right?
Well luckily for you sir the next season for this series comes out in fall of this year on Disney Plus xmen 1997 it continues off where this show ended in 1996
Ellana Nomachines Yeah, but his entire personality is a gruff honor. He's got too much pride to be chasing someone else's wife around, like a lost puppy. I hate their, "relationship."
I love how near the end of the series Wolverine seemed to have gotten over Jean a long time and found his true love with Storm without realizing it. I sincerely hope the new animated series continues that.
@@Tornado1994 They did? I remember that one episode where Storm was gonna marry some dude and everybody but Wolverine supported her. Wolverine was pissed and it was after those future episodes where they were married. I liked that detail.
We have to find morph! They're the only one who can make me laugh. Whatever you're dealing with morph, we're here for you! One day when you're ready to come back, I'll be there waiting for you, morph
When you read the comic books and know Wolverine's history of loss and suffering, the idea of him finally having something that makes him happy (marrying Storm) and having to give it up, hits you right in the ole' ticker. #SNIKT
Most of the newer Marvel animated shows are targeted towards young kids, unfortunately. The 90's animated series (like Spider-Man and XMen) have a much wider target audience. A young kid can enjoy it and there's enough there to satisfy older audiences too. I guess the former is probably more profitable. And Disney/Sony/Fox don't want to pull attention away from their live-action films.
Wolverine is so badass, that even dressed in his supposedly "not realistic enough for a movie" costume and saying campy/silly lines; he still is intimidating as heck. This is what I want to see in the movies. Enough excuses Marvel/Disney. Make it happen!
"I know what you're thinking punk. Question is, can I get Wolverine before he turns me into shishkabob with those claws? Well bub, seeing as how these claws are made of adamantium, the strongest metal known, and can slice through vanadium steel like a hot knife through butter buddy. You gotta ask yourself. Do I feel lucky?" Oh man, everything about that scene screams awesome. It's so damn funny how Wolverine has the guy completely shaking just by walking towards him.
I know! I also laughed my ass off when Wolverine said "Here's Johnny!". When I heard the X Men theme song at the start of the episode my kid brain was in heaven. Also, did those idiots that ran at Wolverine with the billy clubs think he was gonna be intimidated at all?? Just look what happened to those things. Just like Wolverine said "Go play pick up sticks" XD
"I don't care which spirit ladies so what to which Cajuns, I'm here to stop a wedding" I'm sorry I have no context for this and that sentence sounds insane hahaha
you forgot scenes from the apocalypse 4 parter. the one when he catches magneto from falling: "look who im saving.... you think i was Xavier." lmao had me rolling
yeah... I mean I've watched recently x men evolution and though he still a great character and still the best in that show, he is nothing compared to this version of wolverine. I find it weird that many people did not like this version of wolverine. He is very realistic and way more deeper than in evolution.
The live action wolverine was inaccurate. Wolverine is like an outcast with emotional problems and scanty social skills. Pretty much some short old dude with ptsd who likes killing.
No matter how big, no matter how dangerous, no matter how deadly, Wolverine takes shit from nobody. Even if he does lose, he will get up and keep fighting.
@@kravenmaurhedd4264 Well, it was a western cartoon while broadcast standards and practices for children's programming such as cartoons was adamant about disallowing any kind of graphic violence. If not for that, they probably could have shown off his actual skills.
Logan and Ororo were an item in "Unstoppable X-Men". They had a son together. Evan in the comics was actually Logan and Ororo's Biracial Biological Son. In X-MEN Evolution, he was rewritten as her Nephew. In Uncanny X-Men, Logan fathered a Daughter with Yuriko named Sherri "Weapon X23".
@@Tornado1994 I want to write a fanfic where he’s still their son but had to be with his Aunt and Uncle for safety reasons… I mean… that would kind of explain it, his dad is the darn Wolverine for goodness sakes, and we all know Weapon X, Hydra, Shield, the government etc. are always after him, therefore his family always gets attacked by someone 😣 (This also explains why Sabertooth was following Spike in that one episode)
2:42 made complete sense why wolverine was the one who had to tag along with banshee in that noisy flight as he can most probably regenerate those eardrums back. And the dialogue he says after they land is just priceless hahaha 😂
If you're talking about when Wolverine says, "Come on, Storm, don't you leave me", you're right. That is actually an alternate timeline where Xavier is killed and Logan and Storm end up being a couple.
they revisited this in the comics after what happen in the story of the avengers vs the x-men , storm got a divorce from t'challa , and then storm had wolverine as a rebound haha
It's a well known fact that Wolverine and Storm had a on and off romantic relationship. Animated series don't empathize this because their target is towards youth and not to exploit adult situations in the comics. Like the fact that Cyclops had a very lustful relationship with Emma Frost right after Jean Grey's apparent demise or Iceman Kitty Pryde Colossus love triangle!
There's a moment in the episode where Logan and Storm were married, when a guy insults Storm, and Wolverine throws in another classic line... (SPOILER NEXT!) "I, think you just insulted the woman I love low life... Now, you can either apologize, or I'm gonna show ya how intolerant I can be." LOL Don't mess with Storm, or you've got more than mad weather to think about.
After growing up watching X-Men Tas it took some used to with Hugh Jackman when the first X-Men movie came out but I tell you when it comes to movies Hugh Jackman did a great job as Wolverine and will be missed😢
I'm always loved Wolverine's voice and attitude. The other two voices from wolverine versus hulk and X-Men evolution will always be good Wolverines, but this one solidifies himself as the true voice of wolverine/Logan. Ashame they never adopted a costume in the movies.
You forgot a moment from Storm Front. When Logan pounces to beat up Arcon after Storm looks at him like *you were right* That moment is so precious, shows how truly sensitive he really is, especially with his mate.
Wolverine wanted Jean, but his heart really wanted Storm. 90's animated series's were really on another level, all the way through Justice Unlimited. After that, they began to decline.
1:52 Ok, round boy, let's dance! 3:52 (sniff-sniff) The nose knows, tough guy! 4:16 Guess you found the body. Go own in, the water's fine! 5:19 Here, go play pick-up sticks! 5:32 There's the fat pig, who dumped me in to the sewer! Let's Dance! 5:54 Somebody wake me up from this nightmare, cause i've gotta be dreaming! 6:15 An island vacation with Omega-Red in a toxic nuclear powder cage three miles underwater. Yup, this is pretty much Shangri-La! Gotta love that guy! If i would need the operative in counter-terrorist unit, he would my best choice!
This doesn't even cover some of what Wolverine DOES. In that submarine? He literally cuts his suit open to use his claws against Omega Red, even knowing he'll suffer AND PAINFULLY SURVIVE acute radiation sickness... to protect Storm. Storm and Wolverine aren't an official couple in the animated series, but it's clear how much they mean to each other over the course of the series.
This video left out the funniest Wolverine bit of all-time: When Beast throws Wolverine over the guard fence and he lands on his butt and says to Beast " Next Time you do that ill threw you and we'll see where you land." XD
Wolverine, Batman, Ghost Rider, John Constantine, Hellboy, Etrigan, The Question, Hans Solo, The Terminator, The Spectre, Daryl Dixon (TWD), Black Canary, Raven, and Hawkgirl (DCAU) are all on the list for me.
Yuriko(Lady Deathstrike) is Japanese American. Ororo Monroe(Storm) is Zimbabwean/African . Yeah. Saban's X-MEN started pairing Logan and Ororo together during S3. The Logan/Scott/Jean Triangle from the first two seasons was hated universally. Writers Bob Forward,Larry Houston and Paul (I can't remember his last name) discovered that viewers hated Cyclops and hated the episodes with him and Jean together.
@DICK LONG She was born in Harlem/NYC. Her mother was Kenyan and Father was Zimbabwean and they settled in Nairobi,Kenya,. She was orphaned around 1935 when her parents were killed in a Twin Engine Plane Crash. She went through a few foster homes before finally adopted by a wealthy British Socialite and they moved to Egypt. He was abusive towards her, so she ran away as a teenager and started pickpocketing. I'm referring to the comic book canon.
X-Men Giant Size was her first appearance in comics, and she was topless though with a cape that attached to her arms. You couldn't really see anything, but she flew around that way before getting a suit made of unstable molecules that was weather proof.
3:10 one of the most badass Wolvie moments that isn't mentioned. Such incredible range from Cal to go from struggling to the amazing rage scream back to normal Wolvie voice.
