Loved hearing about the NYRB books. Always looking to explore these more. Have Housekeeping on my shelf--You had me looking for it and put it on my TBR pile (about to topple over). Everett has been on my list for all of 2023 time to pick it up. Great video. Read Pew for the BookTube prize and was not crazy about but boy does it stick. Thanks for your reviews.

I first heard about Pew on an episode of Writers and Company- might be worth checking out if you haven't listened to the interview already. Recenlty read Ravn's the employees which intruiged me but didn't completely win me over- may have to pick up My Work next. Glad you showed up in my reccomendeds today!

Absolutely amazing group of books! Housekeeping is one of my all time favorites. I first learned about it from a writing professor, so your academic reading comment makes sense. =) I also loved Cold Enough For Snow. Cassandra At the Wedding and The Pumpkin Eater have been on my radar, but I have SO many books from New York Review Books that I actually cut myself off until I can read through them all! (They often have great sales). 😅 Thanks so much for sharing this great list!

good thinking! but the character is very unhappy and self-destructive and it’s well documented that shes queer. I just liked that it wasn’t overtly pronounced like it might be in a book published today. thanks for watching 🥰

Brah I’m so excited to read the shards. I finished less than zero, rules of attraction, and american psycho recently. I want to read his work in order though that’s why I’m waiting to read the shards. I want to see his progress is the main reason why i want to wait to read it but man its so tempting. I do agree though, his writing is a form of art. Although AP did get too gross at times but i just skimmed the killing sections lol
