I know, there is a newer model, but this one is just fine to me. You dont need 8K it's just ridiculous. Why?
1. You dont have an 8K monitor
2. There simply aren't any 8K TV shows or movies to watch on them if you did.
3. The bitrate required to show 8K is huge! Watch the bitrate stat on YT or any of your streaming services, many struggle to show normal 1080p
4. You need a VERY powerful computer to handle and edit in 8K
5. 60-80% of the YT viewers watch video on their smartphone, YT delivers 720p video on that platform, far from 8K wouldn't you agree?
6. Why not GoPro 12 ? Because it $200 more! and still freezes up and overheats.

I like the X3 better in terms of user friendliness, but at the compromise of risk of damage since the cases are bulky. In hindsight I probably would have picked up the twin edition. I still plan to continue on using my GoPro 7 for additional shots once I get my bike fixed up.

I didnt even bother buying the 360 lens, I dont care for 360 videos anyway, that distorted mess is not for me 😆 I picked this camera because the quality vs price is great imo. Cheers mate 👍

A very nice camera. The colors look very good and the sound is also good. You will have to try it also on your helmet.

Nice choice Gurra, I've never owned a GoPro. You've got me thinking now. I have watched many videos using the Insta360. Does it film 360 degrees or is it all done via editing?

The newer GoPros has lots of issues with random shutdown and overheating, too pricey too. I didnt buy the 360 lens only the 4K Boost lens, I can always get it later but I dont like the distorted view you get with 360 video. It shoots 360 video but you need to edit it anyway. I am old school when it comes to film and video, 360 videos are more for the tik tok audience I think 😆 And its not even new, I (and others) strapped a GoPro swivel pole to my helmet 8-10 years ago and made 360 videos, and they looked better than this new distorted mess 😁 Cheers mate 👍

Ah! I didn't know that you needed a 360 lens. Yes I remember those swivel attachments for stand alone cameras. I also used an egg timer to give me 360 degree time lapse. We were innovative mate. Lol 😆

Looks like a very nice camera and the image quality was good. Looking forward to hearing it with the mic adapter. I’ll have to start looking for a new camera, as the mic port in my Hero 7 crapped out and you’ll hear what I mean in one of my scheduled future videos this month. Stay warm my friend.

Its really nice I think. Modular so you can switch lens. Batterypack easy to take off and upgrade to bigger if you want. Black friday deal too👍 Sorry to hear with your Gopro, maybe time to switch to another brand like me 😁 Thanks buddy, you too 👍

I agree that the One RS is still a better option than the Ace Pro. The only advantage of 8K presently as far as I can see is that you can zoom the image and still have 4k quality, but I don't think either the flip-up screen or the non-removable lens protector is suitable for an action camera. I went with the DJI Osmo Action 4 instead.

I was looking at the DJI Osmo Action 4 and indeed a great buy, but it cost way more than my Insta360 One RS. The no lens protection is a risk of course, but I have never even scratched my lens covers on my GoPros in 10+ years so I take the chance and hope for the best 😁 Cheers mate 👍

I understand the newer GoPros has lots of issues with random shutdowns and overheating, they cost too much also. This modular little camera is pretty awesome, and I can use my old GoPro mounts thats a big plus. 👍
