Just bought this. Still not recieved but i am excited for it. I think mavlos might make it for ryobi. I figure I like ryobi tools and needed a travel rod. Carp are mules, nice vid bro.
Yea it's definitely worth it. There is another rod alot of people recommend which is also a twin tip rod but that one is about $60 (still good for 60). I'll be able to keep this combo on my car and fish whenever I want.
Yea I like it more than an AG venom. Maybe in skinny water something like the AG venom is better but I think what most people all over the world but their first setup for something like this is more suitable. Thanks for watching Frank.
Yea it totally handled it fine, just had to be patient. Was a bit of a let down that it was a carp though, was hoping it was a native type of perch we have that I've never caught.
Well done outro comparing the action and handle section to other well known BFS rods. I like rods that have more backbone, I can see it when you're fighting the fish. Some BFS rod actions are are too slow perhaps made specifically for targeting trout.
Thanks, yes exactly this one is slightly faster and has a bit more backbone, although the resolute is similar. The AG Venom is indeed a slower action more for trout.
So much stuff on there, as long as you do some research and weed out the bad stuff. Not sure if you're a member of the BFS finesse fishing Facebook group (not the Aussie one). This group used to be called budget finesse fishing and was centred around AliExpress BFS. Good info there.
I went on Amazon I got the kastking black hawk 2 telescopic fishing rod, 50$ it's really good it's made good doesn't look cheap if you want to buy this it's up to you and I found this on RU-vid when someone else tested this rod and I was very impressed
I was thinking the opposite and getting the spinning for my kid and also seeing what the matching spinning reel is like. Should be passable form him. Then again I have so many combos he can use.
I got a Sougayilang telescopic rod off Amazon a few years ago for $20. It's very well built. Everyone wants to buy it from me. I believe Kastking has one similar.
Some sougayliyang stuff looks passable but in general I would say it's probably one of the lowest quality Chinese brands. Purelure has a couple of telescopic rods that people quite like
Great video bud! I have both the venom and the mavllos how does this compare in sensitivity? I love the grip/handle on the Orca, have you tried that one yet?
Thanks, no haven't tried the Orcs because the rainbow coloured wraps on the guides doesn't look nice to me. I have another cheaper rod with a similar short monocoque butt though. The sensitivity on this is better that the venom. When I hop the lure I can feel it on the bottom better with this rod.
Rip off ? With the some exception , Shimano and Diawa are the ones who don't use a lot of rebranded things from China. I never heard of the company you're talking about , but Ryobi just put their name on a pole from a Chinese factory. Just like a lot of fishing companies do. Ali Express or anyone else could care less.
