Tip for new Levia players is to ALWAYS look for a way to get the 12+ damage turn, and then block out with everything else not needed for that turn, or if the player is running disruption, block with whatever you need to to enable that 12+ damage turn.
I literally saw your $50 video about budget CC Levia last night and was like "I hope he does an update." I'm introducing a friend to FaB and trying to build out some basic budget CC and really want Levia as part of it. Thank you!
tip for new levia players : remember to place armor/BRB/action cards into graveyard after breaking. we can even break the combat chain to get more graveyard fodder
Here's my tip: Don't get discouraged or tilted by the occasional "Levia hands." You know the ones where it's like 4 cards with no good way to shut off blood debt, or a Bloodrush Bellow with no 6s to discard. Look at the hand. Look in your discard and banish. Think about what you've pitched so far. Figure out what cards are in the deck still and what you might see in a future turn and make plans based on what you're likely to find coming up. Sometimes a bad draw can feel awful, but if you can fight your way through it, you can predict some strong turns to come! Learning to manage the occasional bad draw or seemingly unplayable hand and turning it into something decent or setting up some explosive play for the future will help you in general. Remember, your numbers are simply better. Keep your head in the game!
I started FAB back in April and Levia is my first hero. I play her and Nuu. I love playing both my heros. Big tip/reminder, Block more. Your life is a resource but you have more value in power with a 2 card 9 to 10 and saving 6 life on blocks to fill your yard for future value. Plan your arsenal.
Great list - a reformed Rhinar player who has been dabbling in the shadows for a bit. Big tip/reminder: don't forget that actions/instants/equipment immediately go to Graveyard. This can help power a lot of turns, but can also potentially throw off some very important lines that require specific banish targets.
My tip for new players, is to always think of alternative ways to fill your graveyard. Things like hooves or scowling can be used in a pitch to get a card into your yard. Second, if you have a nice graveyard but have one or two misses, I like to send a screamer BEFORE a SRH to try and get the misses out of possible.
I’ve just started with Levia after Kayo, and it’s been fun and frustrating. My tip, aside from watching all Ethan’s stuff,is to be patient with yourself and build on small victories.
Best tip I can give and I learned over time was to space out the power cards. The double bloodrush almost never pays off unless you're sure it'll be lethal it's almost never worth losing out on 26 damage to play two in one turn.
i have mean mulling over the decision of my first deck for FAB and im thinking the passion behind the hero and the deck tech has convinced me to pick her up and start playing finally thanks for all the effort you put into these videos
Man, what a timing. I just ordered the cards from the previous list yesterday 😂. Guess I will have to put out some more orders haha. Thanks for the videos though! Your passion for the hero really inspired me to get into the game and try out Levia!
Amazing list! A good Levia tip for me would be to really learn when to be agressive and when to be more patient. Manage carefully your graveyard, and when its full, send the full artillery!
When going against a more defensive deck, playing this style with the draw/discard cards try to pitch away a shut down BD card each 2 pitched cards so on the later cycles you can at least have 1 card to shut down BD and help keep up if you miss the flip to Blasmophet. Great video and excellent budget list, Ethan!
I'm only two months into my FAB journey and I've completely fallen in love with Levia. If I could give one tip I wish I knew earlier it would be to not be afraid to block and just spend a turn setting up. Levia can absolutely explode but sometimes it's better to take a turn setting up instead of just taking two sub-par turns.
My tip would be don’t be afraid to take a bit of blood debt. You will usually be able to throw some of it back at them! And don’t give up on her. She has a lot going on but can be extremely powerful! Great vid man!
My Levia tip - don’t get tunnel vision with needing to flip to your demi-hero card! I’ve had a lot of games hinge on a decision point where I could maintain the ability to flip but lose momentum, or continue to close the game and be brought to 13 or less (denying me the opportunity to flip to Consumed). Work on reading the game state so that you can decide, with agency, if/when you want to forego flipping. Good luck!
New to levia but also a tip, sleeve your armor pieces with the same sleeves as your deck if the break and go to grave since she banishes 3 cards from grave with most of her attacks
Thanks for the video. I've been recently helping out my LGS sort through their bulk and have been seeing a lot of Levia cards in the mix; so the thought of making a Levia deck crossed my mind. (Also, it was nice to see you at US Nats; and I'm sorry for bothering you in the midst of setting up a top 8 match. I had a question about the match, but I did not realize you were too busy to answer. Hopefully, we can properly meet each other at the next big event.)
I'm a new levia player too, just had 2 tournaments with her. But I want that sleeves so I leave a tip. Don't be afraid to block. You need your graveyard fill to make power turns. It's also okay getting damaged by blood debt sometimes if you can't turn it off because you fully commit to block a turn. Sometimes. it's better to be hit by blood debt rather than taking a lot of damage just so you can have a turn where you can turn it off.
I am quite a new player and already subscribed to your patreon, I love your content, I totally love the Brute class and started with the Kayo CC Armory Deck, tried a little bit of Rhinar but for the longrun I think Levia is the deck I want to pick up and get good at. Thanks for the great content
Thanks for sharing. Beginner player in FaB I'm learning kayo but I want to learn some more heroes.Definitely going to learn levia after i learn and upgrade kayo.
Holy s... I can't believe you won that Nuu game. Levia showed you how good hands and bad hands merge together, and yet you won! Amazing. Anyway, here's my tip(s) for new players: love her; don't try to control her, she rules, just accept what she has to offer and take it as it comes, you will be rewarded (as we saw in your video); don't fear blood debt, use it, if you are going to take some damage by BD, think of the options (flip). Levia will show you the way but, be aware, sometimes she just don't want to win. Deal with it.
Thanks for the video! Sad I didn’t get the chance to chat with you more at Nats. Pro tip for playing Levia: who cares about Consumed, Redeemed is some of the best art in FaB and it’s drawn by Argyle!!!!!
I’ve been playing the game for about 4 months now and I’ve been on Levia the whole time. My tip: NEVER FORGET THAT DOOMSDAY IS AN INSTANT. This goes for most of your blues too like dread screamer but especially for doomsday. It can be devastating if you can play it on your opponents turn and hard pivot whatever they may have been doing with their hand, use your blues if the situation calls for them
What's up, excellent video bro, I'm still building my Levia deck, but I need Doomsday and Redeemed Levia, and a tip I could give is not to be afraid of blood debt damage
My Levia tip: everything is a resource. It doesn't matter if blood debt ticks if it allows you to set up a huge turn. This is high-risk high-reward gameplay!
My biggest tip for levia players is keeping track of the number 13 in general. Get in the mind set of where is my health at for husk and flip, how many blood debts do I have to go redeemed?
Levia tip: remember that you can order the "banish 3 cards". This is important for example if you banish 2 6s and a demonic, you can ban demonic last for it to count as a 6 as well!
Levia Tip: Always plan for future turn cycles. Look for strong arsenal targets, especially after already committing to blood debt. Look for maximum power turns at the expense of weaker power turns with Blood rush. Identify your health threshold in a given matchup to determine decisionmaking around your flip.
Damnit! I was building the previous list and went ahead and bought scabs first 😅 Will be switching to this list to get to playing asap. Levia tip: remember you can break the combat chain to put cards in the graveyard before banishing for a higher chance to banish the cards you want.
Tip for new levia players. If you play bloodrush bellows and draw a second one check if you can get 3 attacks without playing it. If you can you could arsenal the second bloodrush for next turn instead of risking a bad draw.
Tip: make sure to keep track of your resources after every play. Maybe use a visual like a die. I lost a game after losing track of how Many resources I had on a blood rush turn.
Levia tip: always keep an eye on how many cards you have in graveyard, as well as the split between 6+ attacks and whiffs. Play, block and arsenal accordingly!
Tip for Levia player out there, I know Levia is not very good at place right now but you can still win. you just need to be consistently practicing. Have a lot of match up knowledge because sometimes even tho your hand is not that great you. you can still have a way out on you game, and still pull it off as long as you know your decks well enough. That's it just have fun and don't stress about it too much when you lose to blood debt (it's a normal thing to happen sometimes when playing Levia)
My tips is that Doomsday is an iconic and powerfull card for Levia, but you will not always have 6 Blood Debt before transforming into Levia Consumed. You can't gain Blood Debt because you will turn newly banished cards face-down once transformed. But you can play Doomsday right after banishing cards and before turning them face-down, ie you have 4 Blood Debt, banish 2 more Blood Debt cards with a Dread Screamer : you can play Doomsday in-between when you're up to 6 Blood Debt, create the Blasmophet token, go back to 4 Blood Debt and enjoy the end of the world ! Note that you can't do that tip at the end of the turn when banishing cards instead of Blood Debt damages because you can't play cards in that phase anyway.
My tip for new Levias is: Don't fear blood debt, the moment you show it that you are scared, you already lost the mental battle against the deck that wants to kill you. Show blood debt who owns the deck and you will never be punished!
New Levia player here! Here's a tip I just recently learned: You can fake out a go-again on your claws. If you have an Agile Windup in hand, you can attack with claw no go again, then during a window discard windup giving the claw go again, you can make an opponent block awkwardly your first claw attack - well this might not work with more experienced players. But its something?
The best tip i have for a new Levia player is to first have fun and also dont be scared to take some damage you probably will return the favor and do more damage than opponent :)
idk if giveaway is still going on, but i JUST started playing and my first deck is the Levia blitz deck because she looked awesome on the cover art. I'm hoping to build a CC deck and im so glad i found this video. Would love the chance at a sleeve! if not all good, appreciate for the content
tip: Always count your misses in graveyard! this could be the difference between sending a dread screamer guaranteed go again or a shadowrealm horror for +1 and nothing else! COUNT. THOSE. SIXES.
(I'm new to FaB, only been playing a month, so forgive me if this is obvious)... Might have just been a misplay, but why didn't he use arousing wave to get in for lethal? @ 44:33 Wouldn't presenting lethal to bait a defense reaction if you have it just always be the better play than banishing the top card?
I just picked up the game less than one week ago, so forgive me if I'm asking a very silly question. I am still trying to understand the game, but around 43:28, when talking about flipping to Consumed, are you unable to flip because your health was not brought to 13 via Blood Debt, but by the effect of Beast Within? Also a general Levia mechanical question: Does Blood Debt damage trigger one point at a time or do you take all the Blood Debt at once? For example, if I were around 18 life and had 6 Blood Debt, would I be at 13 life, flipped into Consumed and mill 1, or would I just be flipped at 12 life? Thank you so much for the informative video!
@@GreenT_LoR Welcome to the League of Levia! Flipping to Consumed is a 'may' trigger when you would take Blood Debt (not any type of self damage like Beast Within) to 13 life. Blood Debt is actually taken 1 by 1, so you will always stop at 13, then mill the remaining if you choose to flip.
