Nice review! I am tempted! How would you assess the repairability? I am instinctively sceptical towards hub motors, but maybe they are not so bad? Also the battery seems to require replacing the grip tape too? I will have a look at their website to see how is the spare parts availability. BTW, I think "no smartphone app" should be in both the pros and the cons sections 😁 P.S. Why the h*ll are the cloud wheels soooo expensive??

They're less torquey than conventional belted outrunners, but more efficient and easier to maintain. So if where you ride is mostly flat, and you don't need a ton of acceleration, hubs are a realistic option. Otherwise, not so much.

I am.also not a huge fan of hubs, but they are cheap and reliable and don't need maintenance, so I guess it is a good choice for this one. I decided to not tear apart the grip, as it is well glued. The older generation had a nicer battery mechanism... But I expect the Samsung cell inside should last.

Another drawback is the grip tape. It's a weird, rubbery material and does not grip well at all even compared to cheap, traditional grip tape. For safety, replace the grip tape immediately.
