I’ve played so many in the past few years fromjet, fazeley, squier. and they’ve all been great! Not all to my taste but all well put together and comfy to play which is what matters when people are a Starting out imo :D

ive got a Gibson Les Paul as a treat to myself but today I took delivery of Jet JS400 in Olympic White for £199 Delivered. Absolutely love it. Ill change the tuners to locking tuners and maybe the humbucker but the fretboard (no rough edges) is so light and easy to play.
@@steel_horse7570 I was just about to send you my link to the Vanson tuners I used - but they seem to be sold out everywhere. Very strange - They're Korean made by "JIN-HO" who also make the exact same product for Wilkinson - those are also sold out everywhere 🤔 I've used these on a few Guitars and I do recommend them - they're good quality and a direct/drop in fit. I've also tried Musiclily ones but they're not as good, not really an upgrade imo. Ok Update! You've got me on a deep dive now! 😂 I've just spotted "FLEOR" branded tuners on Amazon are doing the JIN HO ones now - but they're £44 now istead of £33 🫤. I've also just spotted the Harley Benton Branded Locking tuners are also JIN HO (If you look at pictures of any of these tuners, you can see the JIN HO stamp on the inside) Harley Benton also do another set of lockers, that don't look JIN HO but they are staggered - I'd be curious to try them out. £33ish but £10 delivery 😬😬 Unless ya throw in another cheeky wee guitar, to get the free shipping 😂. Sorry I couldn't be more help mate - this should have been straightforward, but it looks like the Vanson/Wilkinson ones might be discontinued 🤷♂

@@steel_horse7570 Re the pickguards - thant's another loooong story. Here we go! Grab a cuppa ☕ Here's how I've been sourcing pickguards for the Jets. So basically, I had a few Jet JS400's and a few Fazley Phynica fsst 720's. (Those are the exact same guitars with different branding) And... I also have friends who had the same. So I did a lot of swapping pickguards between them and a few with friends, I also bought a used HSS loaded Jet pickguard off eBay. I also covered a JS300 pickguard in "Fablon" but that didn't work out too great. and I even bought another used JS400 (sunburst) I didn't need just for the tort pickguard! - I know - I have problems But... I have heard of people using aftermarket/3rd party Fender pickguards and getting them to fit via some filling/redrilling and possibly some trimming - but I've never tried this myself. There's a guy on eBay with a store called "Earlpilanz" who is based in Glasgow (I don't know him personally) and he offers a service where you can send in your pickguard to get traced and copied with other pickguard material he has avilable. I've used his services before for an Eart and a Fender (original guard had p90's and I was changing to WRHB's) and that was a good experience. A tad pricey though at near £40 now . I've never tried this with a Jet, but I am going to order another one from him as I'm after a black one for my recently refinished Fazley. The new JET Elite series have fantastic specs, but are not going to be budget guitars anymore. They will be up there in price. But I think it's great they're doing it. I'm still waiting for that updated white JS300 w. gold hardware 🤤
Curious what the specs are on the Elite series - do you have any info? 😀 None of the new models in the pics are appealing to me too much. Not enough Roasted maple fretboards or single coils 😜. All I really want to see from Jet at the moment is more colours of the 300/350/400/450 series, a Trem on thier offset, and a thinline tele 😁. I think If the Elite series doesn't have SS frets, most people will opt for Harley Benton 😬. Would also love to see truss rod access at the Neck Heel

I only know this: 2 piece bodies (alder or mah), quartersawn roasted maple necks, Indian rosewood fretboard, hi graded hardware (Wilkinson or custom made), Custom in house made pickups specific to Elite series, flamed maple models have a real solid 5mm maple cap with veneer. Deluxe bag is included also !
