Which is the best budget wheel and why I think Logitech G29 is still the best! Check out my reviews on the PXN wheel - bit.ly/3eTKvub And the G29 is it still worth it - bit.ly/3LbIWCV
Thanks, being a direct drive Moza R5 is definitely the best option, but as you said it's double the price and also remember there is no console support but if you're a PC gamer then its the perfect starter wheel.
Just got a g29 few days ago and I’m loving it definitely relate to the brake pedal love the feeling of it, you’ll definitely know when you’re braking too hard
The problem with the brake is how the input is measured not it's feel. It's progressive feel with normal linear potentiometer without suitable curve like in load cell brake and lack of any option to manual calibration to set when u wan't 100% input so everyone seems to remove that rubber.
I think you are the best qualified person to review these wheels. I like how you pitted these two products head to head and fully covered everything about these beginner systems. like 81
Hopelessly out of date information, you can now get a complete direct drive setup (basic pedals inc.) cheaper than the Logitech. Or for another $50 Fanatec's CSL DD which can be upgraded with more torque, better wheels and a load cell pedal, the Fanatec offers fu.l console compatibility
the fact they added a quick release in PXn is really big, I can see ppl getting this stand just for that capability of using custom rims When i look at this pxn it screams i am MODing friendly, so with a 3d printer and some ingenuity you can get a really cool system on the cheap
@bilskippyskipskip Oh man reading my own comment made me a lil sad. My chronic illness decided to play up big time and really disable me, leading to me losing most of my income. So sadly it's still a "maybe one day " kind of dream
@@hezvandermeij man this made my heart drop. im not that old yet so im not earning, but whenever i see something i cant buy with my pocket money, i say "ill buy it when i start making money". reading this made me realize maybe not everything is guaranteed. hopefully you recover and fulfill your dreams of getting that wheel. life can really be shit sometimes :(
@bilskippyskipskip heh yea life can throw mean curve balls. I mean I'm only 22 myself and thought life would go different indeed. But don't let my situation scare you off though, I'm an exemption in our generation huh. The *minority* of Gen Z and younger falls chronically ill and/or disabled. And I'll bounce back. I know I will cuz I wanna. Thanks for you comment bro
Racing wheel!! BTW, just bought the G920 for $199 for XBOX/PC, and it's the best money I've spent for gaming in a long time. Once I removed the rubber block from the brake pedal, it became even better. Just to cruise around in FH5 feels so realistic, it makes driving with a controller feel dumbed down. Great video! I recommend the Logitech G29/G920/G923 if you want a great driving experience for not a lot of cash.
@@bilskippyskipskip I do not recommend this wheel. It’s nice when it works for the games but a lot of my games it does not work or have support for even though the wheel says it does. The pedals are alright. Shifter knob now has a wiggle. I really enjoy using it but for the most part it sits on the floor. I would suggest getting something better like a thrustmaster.
Since PS4 controller works in PS5, if you connect a PS4 controller in the PXN V10 it will work with PS5. There is a problem that the PXN V10 stops working because the PS4 controller powers off, so maybe if you can check it and turn off the auto disconnect on the controller it will do the trick. I don´t have PS5 but watched a video from user playing in PS5 with the PXN V10 and facing the auto disconnect issue. Good video!
would love to see a direct comparison between the PXN V10 and the Thrustmaster T248. i have the latter currently but the V10 looks more promising, except i cant find a direct comparison anywhere
personally im gonna go with the pxn because im not a big sim racer and i want to get into and if i dont like it all that much then no biggie plus the shifter looks cooler also "racing wheel"
I have owned my G29 since early 2020 and to be fair its quite good for Trucking sims. When it comes to racing i dont have any idea as i rarely play those. For truck sims at least i really like the amount of buttons on the wheel makes trucking much easier. One con i can say is that shifter is somewhat lacking compared to older Logitech shifters so if one finds those older shifters i highly recommend to use those
Some people complain about it having gear nose, however when playing truck games (For me Ats), its hardly an issue. A very solid wheel for a people who are on a budget
Also the PXN V9 shifter is basically the same as logitech as it is lether, plastic, H pattern, and better, has parking brake switch and L/H gear switch
You're wrong about the pedals. The V10 has hall sensors, and the g29 has potentiometers. V10 is a level higher on the pedals. Just need a little tuning of the brake spring, which will cost you $2. And don't forget these wheels are designed for children too, not every child can press the g29 brake pedal
For me in Romania the PXN V-10 was the same price as the logitech G923 so it was an easy choice as the G923 works really well on Asetto Corsa, its just plug'n play! Another advantage of the Logitech wheel is the vast amount of mods that you can do just by using a 3D printer :) For me, the only adgantage I see if you have the PXN would be the quick-release system, but seeing as of 2023 there aren't any otther wheels for the PXN, the feature is kinda useless. Overall i'm happy with the Logitech wheel, and I think the FFB Is very good, and It feels great.
@@bennemans92 Hi! The force feedback feels great, it has a good amount of detail. The turning does feel a bit grainy, but this is something that I haven't noticed when playing (both the wheels have a gears, so I think they aren't too different). The G923 definitely has better software (the logitech G Hub). Overall, the wheel feels great, and the level of immersion that you get is very good for the price. I hope this helped!
@@is-ig4nyIf you want more of a racing wheel, pxn v10 has 3.2 nm of torque, and the Logitech has 2nm of torque. I love the g923, but i think the V10 is better. Even though: its your opinion so you can choose.
i always maintain that if budget allows you want to swing for at least a t300rs with t3pa pedal for your sim rig but if budget is really tight then you can fork out for a used logitech g29 also works you really dont want to be spending money on anything below the logitech g series.
The thing is not everyone have American dollars and 280 or 250 dollars as so much money for other poor countries that have a lower value of their currency. Sadly it's way too much for my Egyptian currency, it's like 10000 bucks here for a new g29 and I am literally saying you can put on those 10000 another 10000 and buy a real fuckin car!!
i got the pxn for my birthday and it is so good. it has force feedback, makes you feel like you are in the game, and is just an amazing wheel. i would recommend
@@dinvarr it works really good, and on a ton of games. defidently worth the $250 price tag. also your arms dont get twisted with the force feedback like other ones do.
@@dinvarr the g29 is a good wheel, but from what ive heard people have burnt their hands on it, but the v-10 is also a good wheel, but has a harder setup so yea you do you. choose what you like
@@GeekStreet Hey, what do you think of the new PXN V99 ( not to be confused with the old V9). In my country, the v99 and the g29/g920 are the same price and idk which to get as a starter wheel
thanks for sharing, I had been looking for a steering wheel for some time and the g29 was definitely in my mind. most of the game play I will use it for are farming and truck sim an maby some project cars on the ps5 this video certainly helped with the choice 929 has been ordered
i just got a v10 and I'm loving it. you're right about the brake pedal it's to soft. but it can be replace by stiffer spring which i did. I replaced it with my Blow off valve spring luckily i had spare. it feels better now. for the record i went to best buy to try out the g923 coz they have a set up to try before you buy and i don't regret choosing the v10✌️
Had the G25-g27-g29-g920... I am switching to PXN for the next reasons : The sound of the belts is really annoying after only 2-4months of use. Brake pedal on g27-29 is unfortunately against the wall a real problem for me as I had a motorcycle accident and my left leg isn't what it once was. I am yet to update this comment once my pxn order is at my door!
I had the Logitech wheel and it was great but I was really annoyed with the brake pedal which had a rubber piece inside which didn’t let you push it 100% which is important in racing games so I sold it (I didn’t know I could remove the rubber piece at that time). Now I’m thinking of buying the pxn v10 cause it comes with a sifter
You can't really go wrong with g29 tbh. Gear driven wheels are built like tanks and very reliable. Sure, It's an old technology by today's standards but it won't die on you. The only downside i consider of logitech is the shifter which feels toy like, but it gets the job done.
@@aint_noway69 even if you use headphones if you are plying in your room late at night you'll wake up everybody if you live in a fucking paper house like i do
I have pxn v10 , so it’s really the same as logtic .. i like the shifter , quick release steering wheel , position adjustment for steering wheel , and styling more on v10 that why I bought it.. But for the experience its just the same for everthing , for the paddles you can buy equipment for 2$ on amazon to make it harder .. for everything else I have tried logtic and v10, no difference.. Also i got deal on pxn v10 i got it for 230$ and thats cheaper than logitic with no shifter .. thanks for the video keep the good work 🤍
Before I got a DD Pro, I had a T150 and I was really surprised how good it as for the price. I managed to complete every single license test with gold in GT7 using that cheap little wheel. I gave it to my 10 year old but still kinda miss it. It really punched above its weight.
I personally like the PXN better its a lot more simpler and it looks a bit more realistic for me I am a bit disappointed about the the pedals but i found some springs worth around 2 or 3 bucks which made it feel better and the wheels are also easy to change
I appreciate this review watched one before this and could tell the guy was meat Rodin the g920 made the pxn v10 seem like complete trash you were very fair and pointed out each flaw of both units great video keep up the good work
I have a Logitech G29. And the paddle shifter has already stopped working. I am extremely disappointed as this is a new model. I saw on forums and RU-vid it is a common problem.
The Logitech g29 is very noisy and rattles a lot due to the gears inside it. That’s why I prefer the pxn v10, as it has a belt system, which gives a smoother experience. It also includes a shifter so.
with reviews you should be consistant. i had to go back because when you mentioned how many buttons the g29 had i thought i missed that part in the pxn, but no, you never mentioned how many buttons the PXN has.
personally I prefer the PXN but I do like the Logitech, if I had a choice would choose the PXN. I also dc about the pedals I just want to have fun so the additional shifter pulls me over to think the PXN is better.do you agree (people watching this video)?
I'm in the market for a wheel but I'm not sure what direction to go. I really want to spend as little as possible but if Im going to spend $300 I might as well drop a little more and get the better wheel. From everything I've read, the thrustmaster is a better wheel than the Logitech.
Thrustmaster servos are hit or miss. You either get one that dies within 2-3 months or lasts for years. Belt driven force feedback of T300 feels more responsive and better, but i wouldn't really trade reliability over feedback. These things ain't cheap to replace after all.
So I'm a bit dumb would you say that the pxn shifter is better than the logitech one cause if so does that mean I can buy it separately and then still use pxn shifter with a logitech wheel
I dont have these wheels because i cant afford them at all so i got a cheap 50 pound wheel called the subsonic sv450 its a nice wheel but the wheel locks in at 180 degrees and theres no gear stick or force feedback or clutch pedal but its still nice as a cheap wheel sine you wont expect 900 degrees the wheel works bit bad in ets2 but its okay because i fixed it with settings but the suction cups get stuck but im happy with it but i want to ask and its a bit dumb question but can i use a pxn v10 gear stick on my sv450 subsonic?
I want to buy a wheel now, but i am thinking of buying a xbox series x at the end of next year. Which wheel should i get? I am on a tight budget aswell
Boss.. Can you list the names of play station 4 games that can support the use of the logitech g29 steering wheel.. Because some games cannot be played using the logitech g29 steering wheel.
Check the bottom of this link it lists all the games supported on a PlayStation. www.logitechg.com/en-gb/products/driving/driving-force-racing-wheel.html
I personally prefer the PXN V10 because of how cheap yet how good it is the Logitech is good it's just extremely over priced for what your getting and honestly just a waste of money both wheels are pretty much equal with some things being better than others it pretty much equals so it just depends if you want to spend 280 or 320 lol
The G29 cost twice the price of a PXN10 here in Asia which makes it an easy choice, With Logitech you pay for the name, i've always considered their products low quality compared to the price. If you're spending that much i would much rather save a bit more and get a TM T300RS GT, a far better wheel.
Both are really good but depends on your usage and if you need to cut down. If you need to cut go for the M1 if the led's are visible go for the rope light as the diffuser is great.
@@GeekStreet but overall. if u want to upgrade, and the thing you can use most of, in time. whats best then? if i dont see the rope/strip is the m1 better in lighting? sorry if i ask too much here
The price of the pxn v10 steering wheel in Iraq is 170 dollars, and the price of Logitech is 300 dollars, but I want to buy the pxn v10, but I am afraid that its durability will be weak and it will fail. What do you advise me to buy?
@@GeekStreet But many said that pxn is similar to your logitech and that pxn beats your logitech and also it is cheap and your logitech is expensive and I have pa4 and Xbox and you have tried both and is pxn high quality
