Hi mate, nice review. However the scale is $80.00, not $10. The link in the description shows as No Longer Available, but I found the scale from other sellers and they all sell for eighty bucks!
Hey there! I've seen a review on AliExpress regarding that scale that it won't work for V60 because they misinterpret the weight when heated by the coffee during pour over brew. Can you confirm that? Thanks!
Man, you're pretty observant. I've had this scale for almost 6 months and never noticed those issues you pointed out. I see them now though, haha. I agree that it's almost nitpicking though since this cheap and simple scale performs quite well. I needed one that was narrow and would easily fit under my Flair Pro2. It's been working well for that and then some. I do think I will eventually invest in a higher end scale, mainly for pour overs. For now I've been using another cheap scale (that's larger) and the the timer on the Maxus (instead of my phone).
Well I try to be as critical as I can so that IF there are others that care about those little things they would know. To be honest with you, this is one of my favorite scales I have used to date. It's easy to read and cheap enough that I don't care if I bang it up (plus it seems to be taking my beating pretty well.) Thanks for commenting, glad that I was able to be of some help =]
Thanks for this! Very complete and helpful. FYI currently (3/4/21) the scale you linked to at Amazon doesn't have the Maxus brand name and looks slightly different from a scale branded as Maxus elsewhere on that site.

OMG, I am so glad that this helped. I am still using this scale to this day, loving it so far. I was worried that the moisture will eventually get to it, but so far so good (fingers crossed!!)
Sorry about the late reply. I am not too familiar with the Amazon site listings in HK. However this scale is listed under several other brands, I would probably look up coffee scale and then see if this scale or something similar is listed. Hope this helps a little.

Thanks for reviewing this, huge thumbs up :)! While tempted by the Timemore, this scale seems so much better for an espresso machine with a narrow driptray. Was wondering about one thing, how is the responsiveness? Does it compare well to the Timemore? Thanks :)
The newer Timemore has a much better response time when compared to this., they also made a smaller version specifically for espresso machinese, but it' it's MUCH pricier (Amazon link here if you want to check it out amzn.to/3tMcVL5 ) However given the price this is a no brainer, I am still using it till this day.
Well everyone have their preferences. Some people are fine with a coffee maker and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. I am just sharing my experiences for those out there that wants a scale for their set up.
