I like that you're giving us different angles on the items. Some shots work; some don't. Would have liked a better close up on the back of the powered speaker, just to see all the junctions, switches, etc.

@@bewater2072 You are welcome. They are really close in quality but sound different. The main difference between the focal trio 11 and Adam S3H is adam's ribbon tweeter technology, which I prefer on my higher frequencies.
Hi Peter. Well for starters, these are budget monitors for beginners or individuals that are on a budget. Which means these aren't built with the high quality materials as the adam A8V. They don't project the detail and quality sound of the Adam A8V. With that being said, they are still a good option for those on a budget. I hope this helps.
i bought a pair for my home gym but having an issue connecting via bluetooth , my devices are not discovering the monitors , did u have this issue at the start by any chance? cheers for the review also, it helped me decide to get them

I am purchasing the 3” model as I am working in a small space, is the included speaker wire adequate? Or would it be worth looking into upgrading that wire to a more beefy gauge?
Random question. These have been an awesome audio upgrade but I’ve noticed distortion at high volume. Did you notice any distortion at higher volumes? Great review btw.

i painted mine with black acrylic paint. they’re an all around great pair of monitor speakers. they work good for everything. it was just that green trim 😭💀
I have, they are great. When building my studio in LA, I was between the ATC SCM25A and Adam S3H.. I went with and invested in the S3H because I just love and prefer the adam sound and ribbon tweeter. This video is design for those on a budget and/or want something to start off with. My main mixing monitors are the Adam A7x, NS10 (at home) and the Adam S3H in my large format facility. Thanks for commenting.
I’m glad you found monitors that you consider the best. Yamaha HS series are one of the best budget monitors money can buy. Also, the Rokits are great as well. With that being said, I will always recommend for my subscribers to upgrade to high fidelity monitors if they reach appoint to where it’s in there budget. Like my Adam A7x and my Adam S3H. Also, Genelec, Focal and Barefoot. Thanks for commenting.
Imo, only the HS8s are absolutely worth it as something like the HS5s lack bass for my taste. Something like the Adams, or JBLs are perfect to start out with in any size in terms of mixing, Rokits more for like production
@@TheOneKeyToLife the jbl used to be the sleeper but everyone now knows it’s the best value monitor at 8 inches the Yamaha is better than the jbl but at 5 inch I actually prefer the jbl
