Gave this recipe a try and for first time burfee attempt, it worked perfectly. Added my own twist by adding chopped up kit kat to the dry mixture before adding the syrup for that extra texture and got a pretty decent result.

This time to remainder syrup I added some coconut ,Klim and cardamom powder , just enough to form a firm mixture, used a cookie cutter which gave me 30 peices😊absolutely delicious. How many barfis will this recipe make if you set it in a tray and cut into good size blocks? How many barfis will it make in the silicone tray that you are using?

No problem Fatima. Use small moulds also spray and cook. The burfee is soft. So preferably overnight. You can even freeze it, this burfee tastes amazing even if its frozen, it will set better too.
Hi, if you use condensed milk, expect a fudgy sticky burfee. U can add less sugar, it will take longer for the syrup to develop and form. I suggest making the original recipe and taste it first and then adjust accordingly to your preference.
Yes you may do that. Even if you make the entire recipe you can freeze the leftovers. I am against freezing sweetmeats. But this tastes the same even if its frozen.
Awesome recipe. I have a similar recipe. But don’t use cream in my syrup. I’d like to try that. But I have to make my syrup very thick. That’s the secret. Did you use both packets of your Klim? Hey Priyanka, i accidentally used 2 tins of cream to rub into the burfee in the first step.. How do i correct this? Can i just use less cream the syrup or must i add in more klim powder?

This is by far the best recipe thank you so much, I made it for my wedding coming up this weekend and cannot wait for my family and friends to taste it. The recipe calls for 4 x small tins 155g Nestle Dessert cream tins. Two tins to mix into the klim and two tins for the syrup. I could not find the small tins, so i used the regular tin size 2 X 290g.
Hi it will all depend on the cutter or mould you using. If you using a glass tray easy 24 pieces if you using a cookie cutter you get quiet a lot depending on the thickness. Over 50 pieces
