My wife and I ate at Hank's for our last dinner meal back in June and my soul left my body when I tasted that truffle cheese sauce. I really enjoyed the burger. Cant wait til we revisit and try some more foodie spots on our bucketlist

Wow Felix, that was a Mark Wiens style bite of that second burger! Very impressive! That was funny Amanda, eating all those fries, with a big grin, as Felix was describing the burger at Hank's. Though those burgers looked really ono, when I come home it's strictly local food for me. But I'm pretty sure my wife would love to try Lonohana. Mahalo for another great video!

That looks yummy. I sure can use a good burger for sure. You should try Red Fish too. They were right behind you while you were eating. Fresh poke either take out of dine-in. if dine-in, there is a separate menu which has good food as well. Their mini malasada with ice cream is the bomb. Try it!!!

Butcher & Bird, finally! That double cheese burger is my fave burger. I believe it's their only burger that's dry aged. So juicy and fresh tasting. No lettuce with tomato on the side is my preference. I tried Hank's last weekend. Beef fat fries are def winnahs but the chorizo dog was just too tiny for the price. I'm going to B&B this weekend!

I"m soooooOOOOOooo happy you guys finally got to eat the B&B burger. And even happier that you enjoyed it. Yay!!!! I try to introduce people to them whenever I can, just because their burgers are so surprisingly good. Their pastrami sandwich is also excellent, as is their BBQ ribs. And I was just at Hank's on Saturday and had their Foie Gras hot dog too! Very high falootin'. :-) I think the apple is supposed to help cut the duck fat or something. And I didn't even realize they do burgers now. I will have to check 'em out again. Two amazing burger places right next to each other! I agree though -- hard to imagine a beefier burger than B&B, but Hank does refined fast food really well (And their fries ARE excellent -- I had the garlic aioli sauce too). Just imagine if you put the Hank's burger sauce on the B&B burger tho .... oof! I like Lonohana, but sad that the butterfly ice cream place next door closed down. I really liked that place. Thanks again for trying out B&B. Y'all made my week! :-D I have to come up with some new places for you to try ... If you head to Molokai let me know. I got some recommendations over there for you. ;-)

Wanted to try B&B for awhile. Was hoping you might try some of the BBQ meat stuff to but that burger looked crazy. I would agree with your call on the hot dogs. I was expecting big fat dogs when I went there but it seems more about the novelty of the fancy dogs. The beef fat fries and beer battered onion rings are definitely good. Maybe plan to pick up some burgers at B&B and walk around the corner to get some fries and rings from Hank’s.

Loved this episode. I’ve been planning on checking out Butcher and Bird’s burgers so I was excited by the review. The burgers looked amazing! One thing I was wondering though, when you were at Ohana Hale Marketplace and Smashed Hawaii was closed, how come you didn’t go across the parking lot to Chubbies? Definitely a great place for burgers. Maybe next time you do a burger episode.

I love trying the places you guys recommend. I’ve been wanting to try Hank’s since 2014 but I left island. Finally got to try it over summer and I was so disappointed. It was too pricey for the size of the dogs and the pineapple relish on it was terrible (it tasted like a leftover relish, not fresh) also not a fan of soggy fries so I didn’t care for it. But I always try places twice to make sure if I like it or not so I will give it another try and get that duck sausage. It sounds interesting.

you are soooo cool i laugh till i cried about your discomfort enjoying your burgers. Amanda you have some face expresstion if to die for I really emjoyed this presentaion. I like a good burger once in a long time soo nothingfor me. LOve hotdogs but not over do. Costco polish dogs with all trimming loaded is the winners. I miss that unless I buy the package but it's just no right, not the same.

Wow you guys are so mild! Going someplace with your appetite set for a specific food and get there and it’s closed…big disappointment!😧. Burger connoisseur! Felix you’re a man in my league! Thank goodness you guys are eating healthy on off days. Burgers have to be greasy! It adds to the flavor! We been to Hank’s and had the lobster dog and other various hot dogs but I still go for a Costco hot dog for $1.49! Tried Puka Dog on Kauai and Japadog in Vancouver and our Cali street dogs called Sonoran hot dogs. Your burgers I have to say do look good!👍

Oh my goodness! I requested a while back that you do a burger tour and y'all did not disappoint. There was so much magic in this video. The Butcher & Bird burger looked like the kine juicy sexy burger porn. Felix with the cho cho mayo lips. The second joint not so much but Amanda Chairman Maoing those fries says it all how good those they must be. Gimmee those fries pronto! And YAY da Vonne! Always love seeing her included in the video and her perspective on the grindz. I hope y'all do more local kine burger reviews. I just love burgers and Felix is a man after my own heart as I know he does too. George Motz would be proud! Aloha and mahalo y'all!
