I just bought a 1985 Vmax with 11,000 original miles very clean condition it comes with factory highway pegs which I’ve never seen before and it has a sissy bar and that thing is going to have to go!! It has a full windshield also and I’m going to swap that out with the small windshield maybe or just to no windshieldLol. It’s a dark red metallic paint no chips dance or scratches the factory seat looks like brand new it is a pretty damn sweet bike and I’m happy to have it.
Damn that is one awesome bike. What is the name of the faring piece behind the front tire and on the bottom of the front engine? It just brings the bike together perfectly.
Thank you for the link tomorrow I’m going to look at a 1985 Vmax with 11,000 original miles and with any luck I’ll be bringing it home. It’s going to have to be red because with the black n chrome it just needs it.
Thanks for the comment, meens alot to me. During the burnout i notice that the cooling fan dident work, the bike got a bit hot, but not in the red . Gees there was to mutch coolant in the container, and it got poush out. No harm done, a new switch got install and now it works,.. Havent had the bike on a dyno yet, coming soon. Hope you are well and safe.
No No... Its No problem, rpm is kept out of the red, and a burnout has No impact on the drive train. The tech can take more than this. 402 rums do more harm and yet this bike Will take it. This is My no.7 vmax over 23 years, and never had eney problems doing burnout.
