I make it a point to bring my Speedtop 15 when I travel-even though I carry more than it can. It's awesome for taking out with my R5 + one other lens-or, two lenses with the R5 on a strap on the opposite shoulder. This can get heavy with the pro-level zooms, but not too bad for a few hours... I did this recently while traveling in Barcelona. When traveling with it, I pack my socks or underwear in the bag and throw it in my checked luggage. Then, at my destination I load it with whatever I want to use for a day out. Fantastic bag!

I set out on a mission about a year and a half ago to find "the perfect" camera backpack (at least perfect for me). After quite a bit of trial and error, I finally settled on the Shimoda Designs Explore V2 35 (I originally ordered the 30, but as I tend to always overpack, it was too small for me). In fact, the 35 shipped with their medium camera cube and I had to upgrade that to the large cube. But what I cram in there is two bodies, three lenses (the largest being a 100-500), a 1.4x, drone, controller, GoPro, laptop, and all the supporting accessories to go with all of that. Oh, I forgot to mention, this is my travel bag. When you are taking a trip and are afraid to be without, this is an excellent bag. With all of that gear, it is HEAVY. So I tend to remove whatever I am not going to need on any given day or part of the day and leave in the car or hotel. But when you need it all, it is still extremely comfortable, even with all the gear and all of that weight. When I am just grabbing a body and a lens or two (and maybe some water and snacks), I am currently using the Peak Design Everyday Sling 10L. Also a great bag. Not perfect, but good for my uses. Oh, and capture clips on everything. I don't like to reach in and out of the bag, so I tend to keep the camera hanging on me whenever I think I might need it. Love your videos! Thought I would share my experience as it was quite an extensive and somewhat frustrating search for perfection!

After watching your review and checking our your best travel bag back pack from K&F, I was almost ready to hit the add to cart and purchase buttons. However I then noticed that this camera bag is missing two main features that are a "must have" for any back pack for me: one, it's missing side pockets for water bottle(s); and two, it's missing a main waist belt to help support the weight on your hips. This bag would probably be fine for just walk around use, but not suitable in my opinion for even light duty day hiking.

Totally valid. I would say this though….the top pull tie section can hold water. Obviously not as quick access as if it was exterior on the side. As for the waste strap this bag doesn’t need it like the others. This backpack is a short backpack and rests on the middle of your back and therefore a strap wouldn’t reach far enough down to your waste. I traveled with this back pack to Mexico and all over the O’Hare airport and I had less back tension than with the longer profile ones that have waist straps.

I am not currently in the market for a camera backpack but ultimately will be and it is invaluable to me to have the sage advice of someone who really has "been around the block" - so to speak - re which one they think is best!
