Great video! Have you had any complications with recording audio? My Nikon D5300 is not high end but the video is great! The problem occurs when I attempt to record audio it records the sound of the lens zooming. So, I have no choice but to turn audio off, or get an external mic. Just wanted to see what your experience is with that so far. And also what you think about zooming in on the game vs just recording wide. Keep up the great content!
Hey, thank you very much for the informative video. I do have a question regarding the cameras of newer phones. I own an iPhone 13 Pro Max, which is considered to be one of the best video recording phones on the market. Now, I understand the camera lenses of even such a phone are still lousy small in comparison to dedicated cameras. But, since this video is now 3 years old, I wanted to ask if you think a modern phone camera like the iPhone 13 Pro Max is just enough for recording soccer matches with reasonable quality?
Also, how much money would i need to spent on a dedicated camera in order to top the iPhone 13 Pro Max camera? Like would a 200, 300, 400 Dollar Camera outperform the Iphone?
Thanks for this helpful information! I want to video tape my son's soccer games and have the Nikon 3500 camera. Any advice as to what kind of tripod to use? How high should the vantage point be for video taping games? Thx!
Can you pls recommend a Sony videocamera? I'm looking for something with balance optical steady. I was looking at FDR AX53 OR AX43, but I think both are only 30FPS. Can you pls advise if my research is correct? I'm going be honest, I'm not very techy. I want to make professional appearing videos, reels for my daughters recruiting, nephews, neices, and their college soccer games. Any advise for the right video camera and stable tripod & monitor recommendation would be helpful also. I'm looking for a min 12-13 feet height. I'm planning to add small video operating device; wide, rec, etc. I appreacite any input you have for me. I also have a Nikon Z5 (a birthday gift). I like taking pics too.
Do NOT use a 360 degree camera ... the rendering and editing time is ridiculous and will result in a bunch of video recorded and very little actually viewed. 1 90 minute game can literally take days to process even before you edit and then you can add another 8 hours onto the task. I'll get a new video going with the rig. We've been slowed on video product with all the updates and improvements we've ushered in during the Covid shutdowns. This allows us to maximize our updates and releases while causing the least disruption. We're looking good for the spring season!
If it works for you ... stick with it. There is no substitute for keeping what works for you. I'll stick with my advice and HIGHLY recommend that everyone shoot 60 FPS. Low frame rates will result in a "stutter" in your video (for most people)
Very soon... honestly, there were some problems (user error) that needed to be sorted out. I'll explain them in an upcoming video. I've been a bit inundated with SocrPro demos and that has pulled me away from the video items. But getting back into it now.
SocrPro any update on this sir? By the way, if you are busy can you just give a heads up on how to make a setup so that - the camera is mounted high. Which type of tripod or stand would you recommend? - the camera can be turned. Difficult to do on 3 legged tripods. - you can see what’s being filmed on a tablet. Handy if the cam is high and you can’t see the preview screen. Text and links are enough as you might be very busy.
Tony Starkcoins I talked to him on another site and they’re using the SVT Advantage. It has a 7” LCD monitor that’s wired to the camera for display. I ordered one a couple weeks ago and finally was able to use it this weekend. Really like it so far.
No... no monthly payment needed. The other benefit is being able to use the camera for many different things. When you buy a high quality camera, it will literally last for 10-years. The quality of the video is already so high that further upgrades do not provide much value.
