I first watched this video to know more about cameras but didn't own one, I watched again while looking for a camera to buy and now in 2023 I'm watching it just to learn how to change the aperture in video mode as I got a 50mm f1.8 and it only recorded by default at f 5.6 and I thought that's it not until I remembered your guidance, Thank you so much for the tutorial... May you be blessed and have the strength to continue making this videos
today i picked my canon EOS 2000D and record myself with a lot of time and find out that i make some quite errors dew to the background, but after watching your video i finally got it right. thank you so much for your wonderful tutorial and God bless.
Thank you so much! I just bought my new Canon t7 and I was stuck with the video mode. Now I know pretty much everything about the video. Thank you god bless you.
This helped me SO MUCH, thank you! I am stuck in quarantine and as a film student, I am required to shoot a film at home with my sister's EOS 2000D that I've never used before. Now I feel confident and ready to shoot!
Outstanding, thank you so much. I bought my wife a canon for video and she had the hardest time with the manual. Your tutorial was the biggest help. Thank you again
Revelation 3 King James Version 3 And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead. 2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God. 3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee. 4 Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy. 5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. 6 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. 7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth; 8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. 9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. 10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. 11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. 12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name. 13 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. 14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; 15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. 17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: 18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. 19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. 21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. 22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
Thank you brother, God bless you. If you have a moment please read.. But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. (Titus 3:4-7) Thank you for the videos Brother very helpful. Wish me luck ✝️🙏Amen ❤🙏👐
Hello…I took your course on Udemy for this camera a year or so ago, actuallu probably 2 years ago by now. Great videos on the camera, altho none of the resources were usable bc there’s been no update on the courses.
great video, my brother has this camera and I use it regularly to take pictures for my etsy store, now I want to record some videos but wasn't sure how to manage the settings. Thanks!
Thanks a lot for this great video.. very useful.. I had an issues with video shooting with my T7 camera but now everything is great and I can do very good videos.. thanks again for your great info
I've been trying to figure out how to change the Shutter Speed, Aperture and ISO for so long! I've had it on Auto and didn't know it! So simply! Thanks for video! :o)
I have a question which is: what settings do I have to set to get videos longer then 8 seconds? I have a canon Eos 2000d. I would love to know how to get longer video shots
Hello, the most obvious solution to this problem is that you have set the camera onto video snapshot. this option allows you to shoot multiple videos and stitch them together in the camera. However, it does limit you to 2,4 or 8 second clips. Move the mode dial around to the video option, then in the menu, go to the second icon from the left and at the bottom of that submenu you will find video snapshot. make sure it is disabled. If not it will over ride anything else you ask the camera to do for videos. Good luck!
I was considering buying the T7i over the T7 mainly due to the lack of an external microphone jack. When I searched for "T7i", I noticed some of the camera bodies had the red "Rebel T7i" logo, and some had the "800D" logo. There also seems to be a difference in the price between the 2 cameras, although I assumed they were the same (?). Do you have any idea what the difference is between the 800D and T7i, and why such a discrepancy (hundreds of dollars in some cases) in the price?
Hello, yes Canon have an annoying habit of giving their cameras different names in different parts of the world, which can lead to confusion. The Canon T7i is also known as the 800D. they are both exactly the same camera. The Rebel T7 for example is also called the EOS 2000D and the Rebel T6 is called the EOS 1300D. The Rebel name is for the US market, the EOS name tends to be for the rest of the world.
@@NikonD5200Channel Thanks a million for the information! There's actually a significant difference in the pricing between the 2 names at some outlets, with the 800D in some cases listing for hundreds of dollars less that the T7i. I just wanted to be sure I was purchasing the correct camera.
Hey i have a question do you know how to set the video from the canon to my macbook because i have the same camera but i dont know how to set video's to my macbook air!? PLS help me
by far the easiest way is to get a card reader with a usb plug and transfer your videos using that. The wifi connectivity on this camera is only really for pictures. one of these would be fine: www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=sdhc+card+reader
if you want to shoot movies, the important thing to remember about this camera is that it does not have a microphone socket, so you will be relying on the internal microphone. It isn't bad, but if you want to have a mic, you will need to record sound on an external recored. your phone would be ok..
Way too long; I want to hurt myself now. There must be a way you can provide information at a much faster pace. I don't need the history and all options and explainations. Just the best settings for conditions. Thanks anyways.
Thank you so much this video was super informative I searched through a ton of videos on RU-vid before I landed on this one and you told me pretty much everything
So this video is perfect, but everytime i try to shoot a video, it says "still photo shooting is not possible in movie mode". Ive been looking for the setting but can never find it. Do you jave any idea where it is?
This was extremely helpful! I'm a first time Canon user and vlogger launching a business. This video saved me HOURS of time. I feel more prepared to start filming, thank you so much!
hello, yes you can use the back focus button. This is the button top right on the back of the camera which has the minus magnifying glass. you will need to be in Video mode and then go to shooting menu 1 and down to Shutter/AE lock button. choose AE lock/AF and then you can use this button to focus instead of the shutter button.
Hello, they are both versions of the standard 18-55mm kit lens available for canon DSLR cameras. The IS version was the kit lens up to the 2000D/T7 cameras, and the DC lens is the new one, available for the 4000D, for example. The main differences are that the newer lens is lighter and doesn't have image stabilisation. In terms of image quality, I don't think there is much difference as the internal build is very similar. I have both and I can't tell the difference, TBH.
Hello, I don't have an 800d, but looking at the online PDF it does have an external microphone socket. If you plug a microphone in, it will take priority over the internal Mic. I am looking at this PDF, page 301: gdlp01.c-wss.com/gds/4/0300026114/01/eos-rebelt7i-800d-im-en.pdf
Brilliant video. Thank you for explaining so much. New subscriber. I have a question if you read this. Can you tell me does it take photos whilst shooting video?.
Thank you, no, you can't take a picture whilst videoing. however most editing softwares will allow you to take a still from the video. unfortunately the quality want be as good as a proper still, because the frame size in a video is much smaller that a good quality still.
@@MightyxBALTi I use Premiere pro for my work and it is excellent. However there are cheaper editing suites out there if you are just starting out. this video was edited on iMovie and I know that there are free or cheap soft wares for windows.
What about the Write to SD card speed? I was reading where the Write to SD card for the Sony A7R ii is 8 seconds. How does the 2000D write in Video mode?
Hi, I am sorry I don't really recognise the question, but in video mode, there are two limits - time and file size. Maximum time is 29 minutes, maximum file size is 4 GB. If you shoot at lowest quality you can shoot for 29 minutes. If you at the best quality you get 11 minutes. The write speed seems to be pretty instantaneous.
Yes, I understand that there is the 29 minutes due to tax reasons. In photo mode where speed of the write to the SD card is important as it delays your ability to take another photo it seems to be a function of the SD memory speed itself. I have this camera and found that using a faster SD card shortened the time it takes to write and therefore allowed me to take the next photo sooner. As far as the 4 GB limit, I think if you are using one of the memory types XC maybe, that you can write 4 GB and keep going at the card will just start a new 4 GB segment. I can tell you that write speed to the SD, for photos, is not instantaneous. Try it out.
Hello, the camera does not automatically focus. you will have to press the shutter button to focus. the camera will focus whilst you are recording, but you have to press the button.
@@NikonD5200Channel ooooh I see. And of I buy a different lense would it allow auto focus at all, or the mechanics of auto focus are on the camera itself.
Hello, you cannot connect your Boya Mic directly to this camera. It does not have an external Mic socket. Either use the camera's internal Microphone, or use an external recording device. For example you can get apps on many phones that will let you record and your Boya will fit most mobile phones.
have you used the mic before? do you know that it works? if it has battery, has it been put in the right way round? I do not have a 200d, but test the camera to see if it will record sound on the internal microphone. Then if you know that the mic works and the camera can record, check the settings when it is on record.
I'd like to buy the course but am confused about pricing. On your site, the link goes to Udemy and the course is priced at £15.99, whereas, here in the description below it is priced at £13.99. Could you explain the differences, if any, between the two courses and prices?
Hello Eddie, That is a mistake - it should really be 15.99. But i have just created this coupon for you - £9.99. hurry, it only lasts a couple of days.. bit.ly/3fqsjTj see you on the course!
Hello, no you can only save it in the camera as a .mov file. The best way to download your video file is either by using the card to upload it to your computer, or by using the usb cable that comes with the camera.

Little late @camerawize what do you think auto lighting optimizer let’s say sunny day you put it on low of off or should I just manually change the exposure?
Can anyone help me? I have Canon 2000D and Galaxy S9+ phone I can't transfer mov videos from my camera to my phone I use the camera connect app for Canon? Can I solve this problem? @CameraWizePhotography
take a look at this page hk.canon/en/support/8202595100 Canon produce software called Canon Utility which allows you to shoot video and download video with your mobile device. However the device needs to be physically connected to the device, via the USB connection. You will need to download the software and make sure the wifi setting on the camera is switched off.
Very helpful video, but can you tell me what is the metering timer in video settings?you can choose 4,8,30 seconds or 1,10,30 minutes where must i have it and how can i use it?? Thank you very much
Hello, This dictates how long the exposure information is visible on screen. When you are looking through the LCD screen it can be useful to refer to the aperture or shutter speed when setting up a shot. I prefer to have this set to 1 minute.
Waaait a minute here. I don't use or like to use anything AUTO. Focus as you have shown cannot be shut off. I am smart enough to focus a camera and do not like when the camera does it automatically. How do I shut off the AUTO FOCUS? MANUAL FOCUS IS RIGHT FOR ME. I do not want the camera focusing in and out causing the entire video to go out of focus at times. PS: the FPS has to do with the early AC Power delivered to homes. They would use that rate, CPS or Hertz, to clock the TV screen scan. In the USA the rate was 60 Hz and there in Europe it was 50Hz.
The auto focus for video on the T7 is not continuous, so once you have focused it will stay that way. If you don't want to use autofocus at all, you can switch the lens to manual focus.
Right, right, right... Since I typically use vintage 1960s to 1970s lenses there will be no auto focus there. I traveled with my band all over the western world including where you are between 1997 and 2007. When I started videoing the shows I just set the camera up and handed it over to a musician in the audience to run. They would know the breaks and how to follow the action. This was with a Sony PD150 DVCam. I did use the White Balance to find white on the stage as there were colored stage lights all over. I have lots of videos some of which are here on RU-vid. I just hated Audio Exposure and Auto Focus. These were very distracting to watch. Videos like this one without the AUTO stuff. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NbPm1ksA6r4.html Thanks!
Hi there! Is the link still valid if I wanna purchase the digital book? Could you please provide an overview of the video training part? I am so new to videography and would really appreciate tips on tricks, and general videography shooting
