5 weeks ago today I had major surgery. Y’all have been a Godsend. I made the Italian and honey mustard chicken for freezer meals and the Ceaser dressing chicken. Your sour cream noodle bake, potato soup, and so many more delicious dishes saved me. Y’all have been feeding my fiancé since I can dump and go back to bed and be on full liquids. From the bottom of my heart, thank y’all! God bless you both. Thank you. ❤

I did the pizza pasta casserole for my twin boys with ground turkey & pepperoni & they were like MOM WHY HAVEN'T YOU MADE THIS BEFORE?!?! 😂 it was very good I think I will saute spinach to add veggie value. Thank you

I make the pizza pasta, I added black olives and canned mushrooms, I used the mini pepperoni, mixed all together and put in casserole and put cheese and more pepperoni on top. Yummmmmm

Agreat way to get rid of excess grease in ground beef is to use a "wadded up" paper towel and swirl it around the pan with a wooden spoon. Works like a charm 🎉 I think I learned that from "Mandy in the Making"💖

I make something very similar to this. It's called Cavatini and I got the recipe from an old southern church cookbook. Side note--those old church cookbooks are my favorite ones. Anyway, the recipe I have says mix the ground beef/sauce mixture with the cooked Rotini noodles. Then in a 9 x 13 dish, layer sauce noodles mixture, cheese, then sauce noodles mixture then cheese. Cheese is 2 cups sharp cheddar and 2 cups mozzarella mixed together. You can add pepperoni if you want but I don't.

I have been making Cavatini since Pizza Hut made it famous….my version is similar to yours except I put my rotini pasta in large casserole dish, then my ground beef/spaghetti sauce & mix with pasta…I like a lot of sauce…then I put mozzarella cheese on top, then “pre-cooked “ pepperoni (I layer my pepperoni between paper towels on a large plate & microwave 1 minute) then put in oven to get cheese bubbly & pepperoni crispy…I don’t like the grease that comes out of pepperoni….my girls loved it when they were growing up …now they make it😊

I add chopped Pepperoni to my pasta sauce. The flavor is amazing...Sugar Snap Peas are way better than Snow Peas. I buy fresh and snack on them...

For the Pizza Pasta Casserole, I highly suggest adding shredded cheddar cheese. I did that the last time I made my version, and it tasted really good. I also like mixing the pasta with the sauce and meat.
