Time to discuss Crockett & Jones again! In particular this lovely casual everyday Chukka Boots called the Brecon.
A 3 eyelet, storm welted ankle boot with a dainite sole that is welted on the 341 medium round last. Finished in a very rich shade of scotch grain, called country grain due to the finer, more discreet print it has.
Great shoes that you can buy directly from Crockett & Jones, or if you want to support The Noble Shoe:
Email at info@thenobleshoe.com to buy the Brecon for $549.99
Let me know what you think in the comments and I hope you enjoy this shorter, easier format for brands I have already covered before! I will see you next week with a very niche video about minimalist wallets.

The boot looks lovely !!! I think personally the best chukka boot Crockett and Jones has made is the Tetbury . As a staple shoe i will highly recommend it . Comfort is great , even if you wear them 12h a day . Every time i wear mine i always get a compliments even from lady’s . Overall chukkas are comfortable in general . It worths investment and i personally think that they should be a part of every Gentleman’s wardrobe . Great video by the way .

Thanks for watching Bobby! I sold a Tetbury a couple of months ago to a client but didn't have enough time to make a video. It's on the 348 last which is my favorite CJ Last. Nice elegant boot with great leather. I agree with all you wrote! Have a good weekend!

I have both the Tetbury and the Brecon. Tetbury is smarter but Brecon is a bit more comfortable. Love them both!

Yes the Tetbury is a bit dressier. Both have a place in your wardrobe! You should check out the Norman Vilalta Robert in The Noble Shoe for a mix of both worlds!

I have a pair of Coniston made in the same dark brown grain leather, I got them just for heavy duty like walk in country mud, water or snow. They are really really strong and resistant to water, they are cool but good as well for what they are made!

Identical to the pebble ones I have from J Cheaney for Pvt White VC, but without the shearling lining. Great comfortable boot, the Cheaney versions last, 125, is narrow for my wide feet FWIW. Great video as always Sir 🙏

Thanks for watching Jason. Width can be an issue for certain manufacturers but I recommend tricker’s for wider sizes if you like the casual look

Thanks Kostas for the review, I have to admit I just love the C and J classic style, I have eight pairs! Just a question, where is your pocket square from? I really love it!

Thanks Alex! It’s from Granqvist store Sweden. I don’t know if you can find this particular one anymore but they have some amazing squares and ties. It’s all about taste of course, if you enjoy the style then you can have 1 or 20! I retail them, but I think it’s good to often take a step back and look at them from another angle!

Unfortunately I can’t get my hands on those. I find them a little overpriced but it’s a rather unique model. Only available through Crockett directly

You can't help but admire the honest way you, Misiu, talk about these chukkas. Speaking of which... which other brands/models give you more warm feelings?
@MisiuAcademy
@MisiuAcademy 3 года назад
Thanks Carlos, it's nicer if you can call me Kostas though, Misiu means sort of "Teddy Bear" in Polish so it's quite hilarious. Carlos Santos, Paolo Scafora, Antonio Meccariello, Yohei Fukuda, Stefano Bemer, those are the types of shoes that elicit warm feelings. They go beyond the bland rigid designs you usually find in English shoemakers. My wardrobe is big enough to want more special feeling pieces :)

Great review. I hope you get a Chelsea boot from C&J at some point of time. There are very few videos on them. On their Chelsea 11 I have not found any so far.

It's not a bad chukka at all. You said it all when you mentioned conservative. But again not really surprising coming from C&J. Congrats on the 1000 subs by the way 😁

Thanks for watching my friend!!! And for all the crappy jokes we shared. Surprising or not, I have to be factual and honest especially on items I sell myself. It would be wrong and unethical to say buy this it’s awesome and exciting. Doesn’t change the fact it’s a good boot.

Have been eyeing on Chukka boots the last few days, there's a gap in the collection currently. Will probably go C&J even though I feel I have too many already.

@@MisiuAcademy Was trying to figure out the pricing on the site within Sweden, they're with VAT? But 25% didn't add up either. Example: 5 233 kr | 6.25 233 kr (Incl. VAT)
@MisiuAcademy
@MisiuAcademy 2 года назад
There’s a problem with the display of prices in SEK (different uses of comma and dots) so they won’t display properly. The price within Sweden would be around 6250 SEK. 6000 for a fellow Swede just mail me or write me in the shop live chat!

Could you compare the Brecon and Molton? Would like a rubber soled chukka but unsure how these compare. Is the main difference the last and the leather used? If so, how do they compare in fit and toe box shape? Looking to upgrade from a pair of Clarks Bushacre 2s in Beeswax that I bought to try the chukka boot style, they have held up well but as I have gotten a lot of wear out of them would like something better constructed with better materials and more comfort. I also am considering the Carmina 80847 Lloret Chukka, Loake Pimlico rubber-soled chukka and the Whites Kinney Chukka. As another commenter mentioned would also appreciate a review of the Crockett & Jones Chelsea 5 or 11 boot, or both!
@MisiuAcademy
@MisiuAcademy 2 года назад
Hello! The Brecon is a more flexible boot while the Molton extremely casual. My personal preference is the Brecon but the Molton is extremely popular now. Both will be great, choose based on what looks best to you!
@DEXVD
@DEXVD 2 года назад
@@MisiuAcademy How do the lasts compare is the Brecon a slimmer last or are they about the same. Will likely predominately wear with denim, chinos or tweed pants with a sweater or plaid shirt with or without an unstructured sport coat, if raining or cold, likely with a Barbour Bedale. I have a pair of Snowdon boots for winter or more muddy conditions but would like these boots to be hardy enough to walk around in gravel and wet grass, often choose a boot on rainy days rather than a shoe.
@MisiuAcademy
@MisiuAcademy 2 года назад
Then the Molton would be a better choice if you like them to patina naturally and heavily. The Brecon has a more sharp last.

Hi Misiu :my feet is 24cm,so what's size do you recommend for Brecon? Should I go true size or half a size up? because in the winter I usually put insoles inside to keep out moisture,Thanks!

Hi, you cannot get sizing advice from measurements. I would go true to size

Nice video again. As you say it’s to conservative for me also, but it’s something someone can get as their first Chukka which makes them a awesome staple. And that joke is even worst than the first time I heard it man 🥲

@@MisiuAcademy Thank you, does this leather feels more sturdy than Horween hatch grain? And have you seen any Dollaro leather on shoes?
@MisiuAcademy
@MisiuAcademy 3 года назад
I’m not sure what you mean by sturdy, each leather type has its own characteristics. I like hatch grain more on dress shoes barring a few Chukkas. Dollaro sounds like a gimmicky term to me for grain leather honestly heh
