Last First Rockets are good because they are able to counter all units, not just infantry. The 450 damage with splash 4 makes it look like it's doing less because you don't get the +10 of heavy cannon, but in reality it does so much more damage, just spread out. Also they murder dragoons like no one has seen.

I know not technically Cav, but Eagle Knight runners are pretty damn good. 1 pop, fairly cheap, fast, decent range, decent upgrades available and the fire rate is quick! My favourite for taking down Gendermes.

Would have expected the Spanish Lancers to at least have been visible on the pie chart. They're like the Luigi to the French Cuirassier's Mario. I guess they're more underrated than I thought. Poor lancer bros.

Rifle riders was my vote but i get the war wagon thing they are really strong units against most late game units (rods shred them though lol) To anyone who thinks the french cav is bad, when the game was first released the thoroughbreds card dropped the pop on gendarmes to only 2 in addition to instant train! Oh and with Oprichniks, if you have the advanced arsenal and boyers card they go up to 157 x 1.25 seige (about 195) which is INSANE thats like a falconet but you can have 50 of them and they are quick lol

Mounted lancers of spain are really good too. They are good against infantry as well as cavalry. Cuiraissiers can be beaten by a bunch of halberdiers

Best ranged cav has got to be rifle riders. They shoot twice as fast as normal and have multipliers vs heavy inf and cav

They are hard countered by all ranged cav though... But bow riders are probably the best Ranged cav insane speed, available in age 2 and no negative multipliers against vils

Oh damn, my extra unit was the sioux rifle cav cuz they do bonus dmg vs meele cav, arti AND heavy inf, so they are like Dragoons but they destory Musks, Samurai, Doppelsöldner and Helebards too :D

The best cavalry in the game is obviously the Mounted Strelet. It's just common sense, and this video is a big fat lie. Mounted strelet best cav unit, and it's obvious all you salty boys cant handle it.

The Jinet Dragoons can have 20 range with Ports not just 18 :) that's why I voted for them instead of War Wagon, and cuz they cost only 2 Pop and are faster, but I definitely understand everyone who picked War Wagon, great unit

I personally think there should be a build limit for Cuirassiers just like the Tashunke Prowler for Sioux. Having a hand cav unit that can take out anticav with no problem is ridiculous

Really got to disagree with the rankings for ranged cavalry. Ranged resistance is critical for the power of ranged cavalry. Because of their high speed and kiting capabilities. Therefore the rifle river, bow rider, Ruyter and war wagon just can't do it for me. War wagon are also annoying because of their large size, and awkward pathing. My ranking would be as folling1. Portuguese Jinettes2. Aztec Eagle Runner Knight3. Other Dragoons4. War wagons.5. Ruyters6. Musket Rider

British Dragoons are also very good. They don't have the range of the Jinetes, but get 3 upgrade cards. So i wouldn't count them in to 'Other Dragoons'.

Cuirassiers can be killed by sams with some efficiency the only problems are that they are slower and the japanese economy is generally weaker by the late game even with cows on all shrines.

BTA Channel its true but they dont kill them as fast nor do they work when going up against walled anti-cav. Its generally not a good idea to have extended engagements against the french anyway.

BTA Channel oh and the other reason is that in the late game a lot of french players will just build one stable as an fb because they think they can get away with it because spawn cav in instantly. Sams can potentially push french cav back and destroy their stables fast enough for them not to be able to spawn in enough supplemental units to keep fighting. The point is, it really depends on the circumstances. Sams are generally ambush units and are the last thing that should be used in any extended engagement.

How is not rifle rider up there. They are a skirmisher and a dragoon rolled into one with a very high attack rate. They are doubtlessly the best ranged cav in the game

Cuirassier is deemed the best because of one thing,Those God damn Coureur. Coureur 20% Faster Gather Rate means that 80 Coureur = 96 Settler,but don't forget Code Napoleon. Plus since the French Max Villager is 80,the 120 can be spent on 40 Cuirassier. XD

I use Oprichnicks in Single Player, it's just that the AI brings in pikemen and halberdiers and kills them in less than a second.

AI is so stupid. Just distract the enemy by attacking the trading post or smthing else and enjoy. Also put a couple of guys to guard the forest. I won a game with 61 loss of units vs 2691 enemy losses and 25 destroyed buildings vs 349 destroyed enemy buildings. Oprichnik is the best cav in game.

ruyter is 1 pop so it's kinda amazing tho. combined with corsacks in mass is just to funny. so annemy's can owly spam musks or antycav witch you can outnumber alone as you ownly have 50 villy's as dutch anyway's so 150 ruyters........ 100 corsacks to block heavy infantry....... yesssss or just russ streltsy depending on the kind of game. it's just a broken combo.
