Loved seeing you guys work together and tweak the design a bit to make it fit for what’s available to you. Watching you drive it around with the mower and fooling around with the “beep, beep, beep” noises was pure gold. The fact that your kids looked at you during that as if everything were normal shows me you guys make having fun the absolute normal. So proud of you!

Great job on the chickens mobel mansion. Saw a quick peak of the goats doing their job of clearing out some underbrush. Really enjoyed watching you mentor and teach your boys skils they will use for the rest of their lives. And they seemed to enjoy the process, too. Well done. Really enjoy the video content.

IDEA: If you put the side legs on the door hinges, you can fold them up and latch them with either magnetic plates or hooks whenever you need to hook them to your lawnmower for long-distance moving.

If you’ll swap carriage bolts out for wood screws, on the front leg supports, it’ll last longer and be easier to remove when you want to connect the ball hitch. I’ve enjoyed watching the evolution of animal housing over just the last 20 years. 👍🏻

I use the 1"x2" rabbit cage wire a lot instead of hardware cloth. It's heavier and cheaper here. When I build one of these I think for the floor I will use the coated hardware cloth. Got to get our small Harbor Freight lumber mill going again so we can cut our own cedar lumber.

Hi Mike. What about Creosote? I don't think it's toxic but I don't know for sure. I know my Mom used railroad ties to line some areas in our yard and corners, and they haven't rotted and they're decades old. You're a hard working man Mike and your boys are great helpers. Good job!🎉❤

Because creosote contains PCB’s, it can no longer be sold. Quite a few of the EPA’s worst cleanup jobs have been at old creosote plants.

I used the burning method for the wood for my raised beds. I've been replacing them with metal beds this year because they are already rotten. I built them in early 2020. So I didn't even get 4 seasons out of them. I would try to come up with a better option. I have no clue what kind of wood they were made of.

?ukr I have an idea to make it easier about removing and reattaching those legs. What about using something like they bave for trailers where they latch and go up to the frame and then unlatch and go back down. You can get rhem with tires or like skies. It would save you from having to carry a screwgun when movinf the chick shaw. Just an idea ps they are made of nwtal...we have them on our ice shack with skis that attach to pull over the snow

I can't help wondering so I may as well ask the question. Are the chickens safe in the chickshaw way out there in the distant pasture far from your home and gardens? You do have a fence but I am concerned about predators from above and below. You don't have a protector goose or a guard dog as far as I can see.

QUESTION: I JUST PURCHASED MY 1ST PREMIER 1 FENCE. ITS 164 FT. I DONT NEED THAT MUCH AND DONT WANT TO CUT IT (DONT KNOW EVEN IF I CAN OR SHOULD) CAN IT BE LEFT GATHERED AT ONE END AND STILL WORK FOR THE SOLAR PANEL, ONLY STRETCHING OUT WHAT I NEED ?
@MikeTheFitFarmer
@MikeTheFitFarmer 10 месяцев назад
Don't cut it! When we have a smaller area we over lap it around the outside. So essentially it is like a double layer of fencing. I hope that makes sense. If it is loose and touching the ground it will ground out your fence and won't be effective.
