Best Chicken Drumstick Biryani - Less Fat and More Protein

After making biryani for more than 100 times over a few years, we have created this what we think is the best chicken biryani.
This recipe is made for less fat, less rice, and more chicken. Perfect for if you are trying to lose weight or build muscle. It makes a healthy dinner for the family.
Ingredients:
For chicken:
1.5 kg chicken drumsticks (skinless)
1 tsp turmeric powder
½ tbsp salt
2 tbsp ginger and garlic paste
1 tbsp coriander powder
1 tbsp cumin powder
1 tbsp garam masala
½ cup greek yogurt
1 tbsp lemon juice
For fried onion:
2 tbsp oil
1 piece onion
For rice:
2 cup rice (I used sella basmati)
2 cup warm water
8 piece cardamom pods
2 piece cinnamon stick
8 piece cloves
1 piece star anise
1 tbsp ghee or butter
½ cup coriander and mint leaves
½ tsp saffron powder
1 tsp oil
1 tsp salt
