Our 6V ride kids car (best choice) was turning on (lights and sound coming on ) but not moving when pressing the paddle. Solved the issue by soldering the two red (safe switch) terminals together.
Right 1st thing I never leave comments on any videos but I'd like to say THANK YOU. My son has a 12v focus rs and it just randomly stopped working. I've had my drill batteries on it new modules, even pulled the windscreen off to pull dash out to check connectors etc. I watched what you did and by passed the charge port turned the key boom all light up and drivers, gona order the part and put it all back together. Just letting you know you've put a right smile on my 4 year old sons face. Cheers
my 4 year old watched your video & fixed it properly by replacing the relay as he thought your fix would set the house alight. Unfortunately I didn’t know he changed the motors & upgraded the wheels too. He got a ticket for speeding & reckless driving at the local Mall. I’ll have to try to restrict his RU-vid viewing.
Thank you very much for this video. It didnt solve the problem for me but it kinda did at the same time. We have a Siam Lamborghini for our daughter and I started inspecting the charging port after seeing this video (already tried with new battery). When I disassembled the charging port there was about three small stones that had slipped in there. I removed them along with some other dirt and after that it runs perfectly.
How long does the charge hold? I just got one last 2 days and after about 50 minutes it stops going forward, but it still goes backwards. After charging it goes forward again. Is that normal? Or should I exchange it? I still have warranty for it. Please advice.
Hi there, great video! You mentioned you connected the battery directly to the motor to see if the motor works, how did you do that? Jumper wire from battery red to where on the motor connector?
Yes.. just disconnect the motor from the board (pull the terminal tabs and run the battery wire directly to the motor. Polarity doesn't matter, it will just change the direction of rotation
Dear I have an issue with starting of my kid car. Whenever I press start button, it stutters n won't run properly. I replaced batteries but nothing happened. Then I also replaced another component which is connected to batteries n keeps the voltage steady but still no luck. Could you help me with this?
Hi.. My kids car goes forward, with varying speed as well from the remote. But in reverse it wont work from the remote. Foot pedal she doesnt use. so what might be the issue for not reverse working.
nice job, why 3 pin jack charging interface is bigger than any thing that in in market or there a fuse or a switch connected to it , if so what is connected to it
If you mean the charging port, I think there is a switch in that small black box that isolates charging and load circuit ( hence the size). I did not open it to check. Its been working since I fixed it a year back. No issues.
We do. Just try not to let kids drive away with it while charging. The switch was there to prevent the driver to drive away while the car was fueling. We just removed the fail safe.
We got one as a gift without the remote but it works. I couldn't find a remote to match the voltage of the transmitter so I bought kit. Installed new transmitter but the remote only moves the car backwards and turn the wheels but not forward. It won't go forward with the pedal either. When I put back in the old transmitter it works fine with the pedal. I could not test the remote because it doesn't bind to the old transmitter. Anyone knows why this is happening?
I charged it all day and when I turn on the power, it immediately starts clicking without even pressing anything. I try turning the music on and nothing works
Hello, We have one very much similar to yours with ours it turns on makes noise charges fine light doesn’t go dim when I turn it on or press on pedal, I hear the rely but won’t go or turn what should I do?
Hi just wondering if you would know why my car has worked fine previously but now it turns on and keeps short circuiting, it will go a mere then stop and restart?
For me swinging or rocking mode continuous so I unplugged respective wire ..but after that pedal operation not working ..but remote all function does ..forward backward right left ..horn etc.. What would be the problem ..
remote works directly with the control circuit under the seat but the pedal works through the relay and a switch in the pedal. I would start with checking the switch in the pedal itself.
I'm not to sure what I have to do with mine but sounds very similar. Car turns on and goes for maybe 3 feet then stops and when I try gas I hear that clicking noise I don't no what to do
If it does work for 3 ft, it could be a battery problem. I would turn it over ( so no load ) and try to see how long it works with hand on the pedal. It it works fine with no load on the wheels, your battery might be weak
I just got this and i am having similar problem, after charging, i turned it on and only the red light start button works, no sound nothing else....any clue...? i checked all wirings everything seems to be in placce
there is a circuit behind the dashboard that controls all the audio/headlight accessories. Its independent of the main motor and control. There is also a volume button that could be the culprit. remove the dashboard and look for the issue.
Hi do you know what can be the problem if with the remote everything works but cant turn right with the remote but can do it manualy (driving the car) but my son is still young to drive it alone
I would measure the voltage at the motor terminals on the steering wheel while you press turn buttons (assuming forward and backward is working. It could be the relay that actuates that motor. If none of the functions are working, try resetting/ pairing and unpairig the remote. You could go on the receiver board and start probing things to see if the signal is actually getting transmitted and processed by the car but i havent tried any of it so dont know where to probe. I believe you can find replacement remotes on Amazon. You can try that route and return it if it doesn't work.
you could try repairing it. I forget the procedure but mine never worked after a few months. My kids grew up and could steer the car fine so never bothered fixing it either. sorry.
Here you go. Let me know if you have questions. I forgot to mention that there is no light to indicate charging. If you didn't make any changes, the power button ( turn on sound) should not work while charging.
I got mine today I've charged it for 14 hours everthing turns on and works but won't move forward or reverse any ideas please help by the way great video
Do you hear a click from the relay when you press the gas pedal? If not, there might be issuewith the charging switch which disables the power to the forward/backward relay when the charger is plugged in.
@@bom8067 you could.. that will just tell you that the motor is working.. which usually won't be an issue. Doesn't hurt to try. Next I would bypass the charging cable/fuse and wire the drive board directly from the battery.. you would still need to turn the main switch on and gas pedal to move the car.. that would check if. The issue is with the charging safety switch.
@@SeshankMalap I’m having the same problem with my kids toy car it turn on audio and all the lights work but won’t go forward I would like your if you can help me all I hear is tiking form behind the battery
@@SeshankMalap Hello - I am having trouble with my Kid Trax UTV 12v - Battery is good - makes noises but will not move forward. I do hear the "click" from the relay when I press the gas pedal. Any ideas on what this might be? Thank you!
The idea is to bypass. I dont recall the colors ( they might even be different on yours) but trace the cables and bypass the switch so its a non issue.

50 minutes sounds pretty good. We never used it that long so I am not sure how long it supposed to last. I think the range will really depend on where you drive ( pavement vs indoors etc) as it is dependent on how much load (current) the motor is pulling.
