Hi Chad and Claire, I am the black girl that invited you to try the lemon's smoothies at the "AU PAYS DU CITRON" shop. I worked there in 2022😊 thanks. My kid's dad Saw me in your video and gave me the link. Thanks so much
loved this video! i live in Menton but it was nice to see your point of vue and thoughts of the town!! I'm glad you enjoyed your time here and i feel very honored you crowned Menton as the best city of the french riviera! :) I highly agree, but i am quite biased 🤣
Thanks so much, now I have a souvenir of me working at "AU PAYS DU CITRON " the video is amazing. Next time you try TAPENADE use the BAGUETTE DE PAIN bread that is perfect not the "pain au lait" happy you enjoyed thé smoothies
This was a great introduction to the French Riviera. The views of the waterfront were very pleasing. I loved the historic comments about the historic importance of lemons for the region. I absolutely loved the French meal that you had in the French cafe. Chad’s steak looked irresistible! The spill of the lemon beer showed us that when we least expect it, things will happen! We all laughed with you. Since both of you mentioned the country of Italy, I am betting that Italy is the next country that you will feature.
THX for all, but, The bread you eat here (2:47) is "pain au lait" like brioche, the French never eat it with salty food (cheese or other) but only with sweet food (jam or chocolate, nutella...)
So I have been to Monaco about 20 times for work and I also spent 3 months in the fall 10 years ago. It was an ideal spot to be based and visit all around Europe. Just took a train to wherever or flew out of Nice. Loved it! But I want to go to Menton next year for a month. I have some friends there and have always wanted to go there…..hope to Italy for some day trips or long weekends.
Menton the best city on the French Riviera? As a guy from Cannes, I have to put my two cents in :) We ALL have 300+ sunny days a year on the French Riviera. Menton for us is considered as the retired city, full of older people :) They have smaller beaches, and OK, they have lemons :)) And nice ochre-colored facades! By the way, the tapenade looked very oily (too much, probably because of the heat?). Thank you for these "french" videos and hope to see you again in my country, you are such a lovely couple! You cross the border next? Italy. Or Slovenia / Croatia?
We knew titling the video that way would throw some people into a frenzy! 😂😁 Guess we gotta spend more time in the French Riviera to know for sure. Thanks for being so kind and respectful while sharing your argument. 👊😁
@Millie Colon It's hard to give tips when not knowing what you like. If you enjoy (big) yachts, September 6th starts the Cannes yachting festival. Don't miss the Lerins islands, it's beautiful and the view over Cannes and the mountains behind is great. There is a 17th-century Fort Royal in Ste Marguerite, or a 15th-century fortified monastery on St Honorat. Of course, if you like shopping (and have money...) all the luxury brands are available on the Croisette Bd (as well as all the major palace hotels) or Rue d'Antibes. Check the old city of Le Suquet (also a nice view once on the hillside). If you have a car, go west to drive along la Corniche de l'Esterel, or east to the Cap d'Antibes. If you like movies, around the Palais des Festival you'll see the handprints of so many worldwide movie stars. It's the local Hollywood boulevard 😂 Enjoy your stay!
@@jeanpeuxplus7257 excellent recommendations , Merci !! One last question what beach or beach club do you recommend ? I prefer calm waters not too crowded
@@milliecolon8532 Well, forget about the "not too crowded" in the first week of September ! 😀The private beaches, especially those from Palace hotels (Carlton/Martinez/Majestic...) are not "too" crowded, because they are expensive... If the weather is not too windy, you have calm waters quite everywhere. Avoid La Bocca beaches. And again, The Lerins islands will offer you the clearest waters and small coves, probably less crowded in September. But there is no sandy beaches (or very little), and you need shoes to walk in the water (because of stones). Bonnes vacances!
What a great video! I was in Nice this summer and love it but after watching your video I am sad I missed a day trip to Menton! Definitely going on my list when I go back!
I just subscribed to your channel and I love you guys already. I love how you incorporate tiny bits of information on the places you go and the food and beverages. Claire, I love your blue dress it is beautiful! My guess for your following location is Switzerland, lol? Great video! ❤
Hi kids, love the scenery. Stunning, the food omg. I’d gain weight living there, I’m a huge lemon fan. That and sweets flavored with real lemon, I’m in lemon heaven. Lol. Looking forward to your next country, no clue which one. Also, received my t shirt . Love it, it’s very comfy. Stay safe, have fun. Can’t wait to see where we’re going next 😊🌺
You guys are amazing. Love love your videos, the description of places , food , history are incredible and fascinating. I wish I can travel with you hahah🤣
What a beautiful video. Looks just gorgeous over there. So, how hot is it at 7am when you were there? Also curious how hot it gets there while you two were there and if you know what the hottest month is? All the foods and drinks look pretty good. Not sure about lemon beer That would be very interesting to try. The views were just amazing. Safe travel to your next country and can’t wait to see you two again. You two look so good and such a lovely couple. Always putting out great videos. Thank you!❤️
Guys, you are amazing, I am watching your videos almost every day from the beginning of your travelling. I have so much fun watching it. I like your style and vibe. What was it at the end, were you drunk? This sound by Chad was so funny 😂 I bet you'll go to Italy next.
I came across your channel last week and became an instant subscriber. You both are simply magnificent. I have such great respect for your editing and communications skills. Chad reminds me of a young Rick Steves and Claire is just so lovely. I wholeheartedly enjoy your channel more than Kara and Nate. Please keep up the great work and I promise you’ll get to 1M subscribers in no time. P.S. I told my coworkers about your channel and they are now big fans as well. ;)
Wow those are some big claims! We don't take your kind words lightly. Thanks for supporting the videos we create and we look forward to whatever the future has in store for us. :D
I too used to be a fan of K&N , I enjoy C&C because I love the way there vlogs are edited and the scenery music etc feels like I’m there too. I look forward to every vlog, like my getaway for 20 mins. 😊
Great video! One thing though, Tapenade would be much better spread on actual bread, rather than "Pain au lait", which is an industrial "bread" usually paired with sweet stuff like jam or nutella.
Super nice video and genuine! I've recommanded your channel to many friends! I'm using your videos to finish convincing my filipino/australian girlfriend to come live with me in France haha Don't hesitate to come visit the Loire valley and its castle, nature and wines (I'm winemaker here)! You got yourself a tour guide !! take care!
Hi! This solidified my decision to add Menton to the travel list! What are the logistics like getting to Menton from north like Paris or Lyon? Thank you!
A little sad you didn't visit another region, but I guess you have to choose to stick to some regions in every country you visit : ] . It was enjoyable, as I actually never went to the south-east. Could it be Italy next ?
Lemoncello is dangerous- so good! Make sure to try in in Italy again- They have the french supermarket Carrefour here in Taipei too. It's a great place to get European ingredients here in Taiwan~ Would totally buy some of these shots if you made them into postcards- so amazing!
Yes Menton is beautiful but there is nothing for the childrens or young adult... I live here it's not very nice for young adult and there is too much tourism in summer... no pub, no box of night .... Menton is annoying
