Catholics are a bit overpowered in ck3 lol. If development is well in Rome and you remember to go on pilgrimages, then the ask for gold can get up to 1500. A free 1500 gold once a yearish is ridiculous and let's you snowball

like seriously, who needs to play tall when you can just siphon 1544 gold from your pope every few years?

The Best use of the Pope is not being dependend on this "patriarch of the city of Rome" and instead b a Based amd redpilled Orthodox King

CK3 is an easy game. Playing as a catholic is childs play. In my current game I have all of Europe in my domain as well as most of Scandinavia and the Byzantine empire. When the Abbasid caliphate inevitably collapses I'll have absolutely no external threats that could even come close to challenging me. So far I've not had any revolts to deal with, I've only used men at arms in wars, I'm ahead of everyone in technology and development and I have over 100k gold in my coffers. This game desperately needs a proper hardcore mode. Being the most powerful ruler in the world within 3 generations makes the game boring and pointless.
