I laugh during NFL preseason games when the announcers talk about a recently drafted rookie and say "let's see if he can handle the pressure of the NFL atmosphere."
It’s not about the crowd it’s about that being his first time in the NFL him getting to where he has always dreamed of and having to deal with the huge step up in competition
@@rudeboy4sho Facts! Also it’s now a legit career as well. NCAA money for players is not NFL money. Things change when it’s your livelihood, hell of an opportunity nonetheless
As someone from the UK who just didn’t realise how huge US college football is, I find it mind blowing the sheer scale and atmosphere you guys generate at these games. It’s crazy.
college football is actually incredibly similar to european football, more passionate fans, tier system (P5, G5, low major, D2, D3), way more regional, local rivalries, even all the way down to high school football which would basically be the equivalent of supporting your local non league club
I’m 61 years old and been watching college football for over 40 years. By far, the most electric college football atmosphere I’ve seen was at FSU in the late 80s/early 90s when they were playing The U. The Captains would meet at mid field for the toss and slowly the entire roster of both teams would follow out and begin taunting each other with the coaches doing everything they could to prevent fights from breaking out. Then the Seminole mascot would ride between the two teams to the 50 yard line, turn and face the hurricanes, and then plant that flaming spear like he was saying “let’s go to war!!!” The feeling was electric and the stadium would EXPLODE!
Penn State white out, Virginia Tech Metallica, and Clemson down the ramp are some of the most thrilling environments. Exactly why college football is always best.
@@kungfu_kenny4135 then you know NOTHING about Florida State University. Every aspect from the warchant, uniform and Osceola has been 100% approved from the Seminole Tribe of Florida. It's tradition, not a mascot.
I am a Clemson grad, but I seriously want to experience the VT and FSU entrance. I just love college football and want to experience all the greatness it has to offer. I remember the days at clemson when they would play the Frank Howard tribute before the game. Gave me goosebumps every time. "If you're not gonna give me 110%, then keep your filthy hands off my rock!"
I went to a FSU game vs Florida back in 2013 when we had Jameis and it was by far one of the most intense moments hearing the crowd do the Chant… it’s so intense
The clemson entrance is by far the best. The keep those fitlthy hands off my rock was the most hype start to a game. Those carolina games are something else.
the crowd participation at lane stadium is beyond belief, you'll be a believer when you start singing enter sandman along with 60 thousand other people
i went to Clemson @ FSU 2016 and man that stadium was loud as HELL. And the all the seats are like high school bleachers so the stadium feels like it’s shaking
Whiteout by far and not even a photo finish!!! And, the asshole who said Pedo State, 99.9999 percent of us had absolutely nothing to do with that terrible tragedy, so 😢 stop, it's ridiculous!!! WE ARE
Playing on a college baseball field with not that many people in the crowd and hearing the cheers going through your chest is absolutely incredible. I can't even imagine what it's like being on the field in a stadium of this size with this many people.
The chiefs tried to get to burrow and he said it was quite compared to games at LSU and the sec stadiums! Facts ! College football is another level of loudness!
Arrowhead is literally the loudest stadium in the world that comment doesn’t make sense. He probably didn’t think it was as loud since he was so focused it drowned it out.
@@bonlob23 No man. I am a die hard Alabama fan. I can tell you without a doubt that Death Valley at LSU is by far the loudest stadium. They literally make the seismographs at the university register a small earthquake. No NFL team has a loud and as passionate fan base as SEC schools. 50,000-60,000 is a packed NFL game. While SEC games have over 100,000 generally. The numbers alone make it impossible for NFL games to be louder. Then you have the pageantry and passion of college football.
@@Youre_Right brother, they have had a decibel meter test it, arrowhead is literally on record, the loudest stadium in the world. It’s not my opinion it’s literally a scientific fact.
I went to Oklahoma State but I spent a few years in Virginia and went to a couple Tech games. By far the craziest entrance I have ever seen. That place fits about 100k people and everyone of them is jumping with Sandman playing. The stadium shakes so much I thought it would collapse.
@@thebethedians that takes away the “iconic” part about it. If it was just FSU it would be iconic, there are multiple teams across all sports that do that chant and it takes away from its greatness
The high school I went to before I moved schools had a coach in the 80s and 90s who was a huge FSU fan and embodied every fsu tradition he could to their football team.they even had the same uniforms(almost they were a little different) and had the spear on the helmet. I went to a few home games and let me tell you they sounded just like these fsu college games but not nearly as loud because not as many people but still had the band which was one of the top high school bands in the area and the fans still did the chop after every big play
As a German Fußball (Soccer) Fan it was very interesting to watch this Video. It shows how different the atmosphere and fan culture on the two continents is. Alone the difference between the way the stadiums are build.
I’ve attended many White Outs at Penn State. It’s literally defining in there. The video didn’t even do it justice. I remember the OSU game in 2005 when it was so loud in the stadium Troy Smith had trouble calling the plays in the huddle. One of the best places in college football!
That's crazy. It's way louder than is possible in normal settings. 100k fans. I was about 20 rows up from Michigan's QB when they had to call TO because it was too loud to communicate the first play of the game, maybe 2019. The stadium went nuclear when that happened.
VT is amazing. They are all very good. Technically Jump Around isn't an entrance. The FSU chant is Seminole approved. Gotta give Nebraksa fans and entrance their due that despite several losing seasons they still pack the place.
I'm a OSU fan, I did not search this it was in my recommended for some reason. I enjoyed it, I smiled because I loved seeing everyone happy and having a good time.
My wife became an NFL fan in high school thanks to MNF and John Madden explaining the game. After we got married I kept telling her about college football atmosphere. Once I took her to a game she was hooked.
@@bryanbiltoft8141 some people just want to say it like they would say it. And some people just want to get on the internet and be an @sshole Karen to make themselves feel important
VT has the best entrance. A Penn State whiteout is the most intimidating. The first Michigan-ND Under the Lights game was the greatest game of all time.
I may be a little Biased but I think the entrance at lane stadium is the best there is…especially now since the song is played longer and the fans sing along. No disrespect to other programs but my Hokies have the best entrance
This is why college football is my favorite sport. Even if you don’t care for football, you should go to a rivalry game near you and experience this. You can feel the electricity.
The icing on the cake for FSU’s entrance isn’t even shown. Its Chief Osceola and Renegade riding to the center of the field and planting the spear.. the crowds “WOOH!” will make you skip a heartbeat.
Yeah this was obvious ignoring the SEC . Neyland Stadium 100k plus on a cool Saturday in October with the Vol walk and running through the T is hard to beat. Of course I'm biased but it definitely should have made the list.
It’s hard to compare anything to 110K fans dressed in white jumping up and down. I think Happy Valley becomes the 3rd largest City in PA during a home game
Arkansas might not have anything crazy for their entrance (Running Through The A) but they definitely have one of those most unique chants in all of sports. Calling The Hogs is awesome.
Top 3 in this order. 1 Virginia Tech- Enter Sandman, 2. Florida State - War Chant. 3. Penn State - White Out. I’ve attended several Virginia Tech games and it is always electric. Ask North Carolina about watching it from the field. LOL
@@certified.bgreen bare in mind he only showed a fraction of the PSU entrance. In person I’d have to say it’s at least 10 minutes long, from true start to finish
LSU fan here. South Carolina's entrance is on my bucket list of away games to see. Others include white out @PSU, OSU/MICH, and Iron Bowl @Bryant Denny.
@@andrewmcnicoll4268 give us a couple years to get right again under Beamer, the next time LSU comes to Columbia, you should come. I also would love to visit LSU for a night game. That’s on my bucket list.
The one thing I live for, with college football, doesn’t matter if your team is #1 or not ranked, you support your team and you go HARD. WERND. Let’s go Irish baby!!!
I gradaduted from THE ohio State but I cannot think of a better entrance than Enter Sandman. Was there at an undisclosed weekend once in the 1990’s. Highly recommend.
I'm a big time Clemson Tigers fan ! The ride around the stadium 🏟️ on the buses to the top of the hill and the run down the hill get's me every time! But, Florida State with the war chant and the spear being thrown into the ground let you know you got big problems on your hands going in there messing with the FSU Seminoles 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💯
