So weird, today I walked into your shop to potentially buy one and asked some Asian guy about having a look. He said we don't have it straight away and without saying anything else started to walk off. I called after him and said I saw you guys reviewing it on RU-vid and as if I was the biggest inconvenience in the world he was like I will go check. Then came back and simple said we don't have it and nothing about when it may come in or anything. So I just left.

Koji 888 1. I do street photography all the time, I shoot people all the time. So there's not really an excuse for that unless you just shy or very obvious. 2. I'm not being rude I'm talking about all photographers that review cameras, not just him. 3. If you don't have a person to shoot, shoot something equivalent to a distance even if it's just a pole or a tree, which happens to be everywhere. 4. Don't take anything personal, Everyone's a Critic. RufusLeakin ND filter might nice, but the lens is threaded to accept filters. Using an ND or CPL on the front does prevent the "magic lens cap" from closing if that matters. I don't need a built in flash; the hot shoe gives me more choices. The little Olympus FL-LM3 flash is a useful option instead of the supplied flash, but it needs a gentle trim to fit properly.

I think it does have a bit of swift but i didn't notice it too much. In comparison to any other compact except for the X100F. I believe this EVF is up there.

I'm not an expert by any means but is there a chance u might be expecting too much for a compact camera? Are there any compact camera's that you could compare it with?

I don´t understand you.... I asked for improvements between the lx100 and lx100II. And yes Sony RX100 V for example. It has much better noise reduction but anyway because that is the only plus for Sony I bought the lx100 last year.

It doesn't use the full sensor. The full sensor is M43 when you take photos it uses we think 85% of it. Hence why they are 17MP and not 20MP

Crop is actually x 2.2 not x 2. It means 24-75 (f 3.8 - 6, DoF eq).

The sensor is not fully utilized on purpose. Its not because of digital stabilization at all. I think for miniaturization purposes, the Leica lens sweet spot is slightly smaller than m4/3 size. There's also the factor of the aspect ratio selector which actually retains field of view instead of cropping into the m4/3 frame. So there's always been a small crop to m4/3 but on the plus side you get a beautiful f1.7-f2.8 lens from Leica which is a deal in my book. But personally I think the LX100 version 1 is better due to less crop in 4K and the new one just isn't compelling enough of an upgrade.

A μ43 MILC like the GX85 will provide more options in configuration through lens choice etc, so maybe that makes it more versatile. However, in doing so, it requires other sacrifices. Pair the GX85 with a tiny prime and you have a very compact option with no zoom. Pair the GX85 with the tiny zoom and have a very compact option with a slow lens. Pair the GX85 with a 12-35/2.8 and you have a much bigger camera. Buy the GX85 plus a couple of tiny primes, the tiny zoom, and the fast zoom, and you've gone through a bit of coin. All of my cameras require compromise, whether my original LX100, my Pens & OM-Ds, my APS-C & FF DSLRs or beyond. Sometimes the LX100 is the best compromise for my immediate needs. Do I want the LX100ii? I would prefer a screen that can be hidden for protection (I mostly use a VF) and can be tilted for low use.
