In the video, I say you need a charger and cable to charge it but in reality, you actually only need a USB mains adapter or socket because you can plug in the built-in USB-C cable to charge it.

Have you checked the new Anker a1637. Its a 3 in 1 powerbank/ with power plug and wire. It looks like that but it has power ac and no need to bring external brick. 😅.

Thats does look really good, I like how it can be plugged straight in to the mains. Unfortunately that isn't available in the UK so far as I can tell, I guess due to the different mains pin layout we have.

I have the same black power bank. That nano would be nice for a sling or fanny pack. I agree anker is the best powerbanks

It's a nice little addition when you want to travel a bit lighter. I have already done a few shoots with it and find it very practical.

Nice review but if you hadn’t of thrown the instruction booklet away there is also a trickle charge mode that if you press the power button twice a green dot appears on the display. Thus is important as if you have a pair of ear phones the power draw is so low it doesn’t trigger the charger. The trickle charge mode manually engages the charger. Also worth noting you can charge directly from the inbuilt usb c. I enjoyed the review thxs.

Thank you. I was going to make a video about the trickle charging feature but I haven't found anything that actually requires it. My bluetooth headphones and even my smallest Bluetooth mics seems to charge fine without it switched on. Do you have any devices that actually require it?

I saw some chinese users using a dummy battery with PD input and a cylindrical power bank attached to the strap with the wire routed inside the strap to the camera; almost invisible.

I have looked in to smaller ones and there are some great functional designs out there but the issue is that I cannot find ones that deliver 9V 3A. I could give my camera a trickle charge with those smaller ones but they fact they don't offer a proper charge to my camera negates the smaller form factor for me.

Tried charging with an external usb c to c cable and a 30w charger doesn't have the same 1 hr 30 m charge time as the built-in cable, something to be aware of.

Mine charges at around 90 minutes using my Anker charger and cable. I haven't tried other chargers though.

No problem. In terms of power delivery, it's the same which is great but obviously, it won't last as long as the 28600+. It's just a bit of a smaller form factor to work with when you don't need quite so much power. For me, it's a bit more convenient for run and gun work but for long shoots on a tripod when I am not using SSD I will still be using the bigger one.

Hi Steven, is the cable not in the way and wobbling around when not needed? I find it a great idea, I have a Ugreen powerbank with a very short cable but you can hide it inside the body of the powerbank. (there the short cable is annoying) I prefer the 533 10,000 powerbank, I just wanna know your opinion.

Hey, no it tucks in quite neatly and if you were worried about it getting in the way or snagged you can just wrap an elastic band or hairband around it. But to be honest it has not really bothered me at all, it's quite taught so it doesn't really move about much. I do have bigger power banks but I like this one because you can just have it in your back pocket or throw it in a bag and it's good to go. The battery life isn't anywhere near the bigger options. I do like the Ugreen products, that sounds quite neat.

See what you mean about the GH6 battery Steve, its so bad! I borrowed the camera from work and used 2 batteries. My GH5s and GH5 blow it out of the water. How long does the Anker battery power a GH5 or GH5s?

Yeah it's not great, especially in comparison to those two cameras. I have a video coming soon about it but I am getting over 4 hours with it plugged in which is great because it's pretty small.

That is great Steve. The GH7 has to have a much better battery life than the GH6. You would have thought Lumix would have had a better understanding of battery with it being a video centric camera! @@stevelitton

Just a quick question, how long does it take for the power bank to fully recharge? I’m using a 65w charger and it takes 4 hours 😅

That's odd, I charge mine on a 30w Anker charger and it never takes more than 2 hours to get it back to full charge using the USB-C lead.

You are absolutely right, you can use the cable attached to the power bank for changing, you just need a USB-C plug for it. Sorry, my mistake.

Yeah if pass through charging is something you need then this isn't the one for you. It's not something I ever use personally.

@@stevelittonwrong, it has passthrough. I use it all the time. usb C input via anker adapter and the built in cable to the s23 ultra. It is topping up the battery and charging at the same time.

Question to all of you owning this powerbank: To me it seems that the built-in USB-C cable is very snug/tight fitting into all of my devices. It requires a fair amount of force to plug/unplug it. Can anyone confirm this? I'm kind of worried about the USB-C ports of my devices. Thanks alot!

I can't say I notice that on mine. It could be a manufacturing defect on your particular unit. Maybe hold it up to another USB-C cable and see if you spot any noticeable differences.
