I'm a cool toned junky. I was so glad to see the warm tones era go lol. Rose quartz is my bestie. But I think ColourPop stone cold fox might be my number one ever. I was so hyped for the Glam palette. It fell short for me :( I need more mattes. And a brow bone matte shade. Don't get me wrong, I love it, just not as much as I thought I would. I'm picky I guess.
Making Mauves for me, as a cool tone, looked more warm (it looked warm pink brown to me 😭). That's Taupe is definitely the perfect affordable cool tone browns for daily looks.
Making Mauves is not cool-toned though, except for maybe two matte shades. The shimmers are heavily warm leaning, which means you can't even create one full cool-toned look out of it.
The ColourPop Stone Cold palette is gorgeous, has a lot more colors - all blend easily, and is much more affordable. If you haven't tried it you should!
I was going to say this. I used it today. I love it. My favorite shade is Magnetic Moon. So foiled and it goes on the eyes so easily. I was also going to suggest That's Taupe as a smaller option.
I thought that ND glam would be all I needed too, however I ended up selling it off. I found I was really missing some mattes. I recently just got the old Dose of colors cool brown palette!
Also take a look at Sydney Grace Coffee palette & Blend Bunny's Dollhouse which stays permanently on my makeup desk for every shade of cool matte I could need!! I'm ultra cool-toned (light) so I spend my life hunting for the right shades & palettes. The problem with most premade palettes is the amount of midtone shimmers they throw in, which does nothing for contrast & creating depth for most of us. For more than 1-2 really light shimmers for the inner half of the lid consider making a custom palette from Sydney Grace there's about a dozen 🤍 Ps.. I never bought the Glam palette because there's too many midtone shimmers & not enough mattes, I'm tired of spending $60-70 and only using 4 shades?! 🙄 I jumped at her new Favs palette cause of promo pics and regret it now!!

Rebecca is neutral but she has a big cool-toned following (we talk & share a lot in comments). She's more fun than technical & an editor for a beauty magazine. 💞 Something about the ND Retro palette irritates my eyes?! The cream shades 🙄 I ordered the new Oden's Eye Xmas Eve, and looking at the new Blend Bunny palette All Done Up (cools, neutral with light, medium & dark shades). ☺️ Hope to see you there!
I agree with one problem... Many don't have light enough shimmers for light cool-toned people. Rose Quartz & Glam do (2 each) but otherwise be prepared to bring in a light shimmer with the others. Because putting a midtone shimmer on the inner lid for a light cool-toned person is like a neutral or warm person putting a dark shimmer on the inner lid, don't give the proper effect! But thanks for including cool-tones, some of us spend a lot of time hunting them down or only using half a palette! 🤍
This is so true! If you are truly cool-toned, most so-called cool-toned palettes are nothing but, especially when it comes to lighter shimmers (and also lighter mattes, although you can make the mid-tones work). When you're fair and cool-toned, an everyday neutral look is the most difficult to create. Plus palettes like the ND Glam also have a bunch of unnecessary warm-toned shades. Although credit to Huda, the two palettes in this video come probably the closest to being actually majority cool-toned.
I love YSL Stora Dolls and the Cool shadow trio from Chantecaille 2024. Trying to buy smaller palettes lately. I have so many big ones and I buy them for three or four shades and most goes to waste. I miss the days when singles were more common, not many brands sell singles now. It bothers me when I look at my stack of eyeshadow palettes, some of which it is probably time to throw away…
I recommend you try the Charlotte Tilbury uptown girl quad it is one of my favorite Cool toned palettes that & the Jeffree star cremated I don’t care about his lifestyle that palette is bomb
Huda beauty Jaguar disappeared after you talked about it earlier this year! I think their manufacturer literally cut them off right after the release! Sad!! It was so new yet i couldnt find it anywhere(online and in store)
Is the video like neural undertone palettes or just “neutral” color palettes bc I’ve been looking for a palette that isn’t too warm or not too cool like a true neutral palettes bc my skin is sooo neutral in undertone
The Beauty bay earthy and nude palette is probably the best I’ve ever used if you wanna try them 😂 also like not even a fraction of the price these cost

Interesting, I never would've guessed Tom ford 2021. I'm also just not a fan of hudas mattes but her shimmers and other finishes are just beautiful to play with.
