Britny Lobas - what a singer. Such energy! Nomad City - awesome!! Best cover of this Stones classic I've ever heard! Be great to catch these guys live.
1. Britny Lobas is the singer, and the band is Nomad City. She's a great singer who puts on an awesome performance, and the band do a great job both creating and playing their music. 2. Great video. Thank you for uploading this. 3. It's kind of shameful to not state the name of the band in the description of this video; unless you didn't know their name, in which case you should have at least stated as much.
Great rendition probably only topped by the Stones when they had Mick Taylor. Brilliant vocals and lead guitar playing backed by a great rhythm section.
Unbelievably preformed by this band, and most notably the female singer!!!! Have seen many attempts at the Gold Standard that the Stones originally created and recorded, but this is a brilliant piece of music especially in the female vocals, as she is special
This is a song you grab by the scruff of the neck & go for it. She did & they did, great to know band name & soloist’s name, great job, nice guitar work. ❤❤
Best Cover I have ever seen of this song, this song is about harmonics, in the voice of the lead singer and more importantly in the lead guitarist and the backing guitarists in the bridge. This guy can play with the best of them too. Lots of people try and fail. Man makes you realize Mick Taylor was a genius!
holy hell where did she come from!? amazing voice and credit for not accidently knocking out a band member on that tiny stage, thought for sure that'd happen
i met my first real girl friend i was 17 she was 16 from Texas back in the early 70's she was alot like Britney Lobas in so many ways i still think of her. we almost got married , but we have great memories always
The band STORMIN' were the best at covering the song Gimme shelter. But that was in the 1970s and 80s...Still much better than this bands version. Bless their hearts. STORMIN' reigned for nearly 7 years from Concord Ca.
She has a terrific voice, but in the way of constructive criticism, there is such a thing as oversinging a song. She would have much more of an impact if she wasn't going at it 110% all the time. There was one nice interlude in there where she briefly took her foot off the gas and it was nice.
I was thinking the same thing Rob. As someone experienced in both recording and live performing, I came to the same feeling in the first 30 seconds of this clip.
*Wow!* :D I'm from Austin, and, that was maybe still is the kinda great stuff you will see on Sixth Street!!! I mean, I'm the 3rd person who's first thoughts were WOW! And I didn't even look at the other posts. She really is excellent singer/dancer full of energy and imho totally inspired the band too!!! Now, who are they? lol! ;) Dennis 61 years ATX
