Yup, spotted that too and Keith's little smile say it all. He must have experienced so many great performers over the years but he's clearly thinking 'F*ckin' Hell, that's impressive!'
Agree, this is the best live version I've found (well, maybe since Altamount). They slowed it down and let Lisa Fischer wail out the dark song of doom that it is. RIP Charlie.
The 9 minute live version is powerful too... Mary Berry did the 1st original recordings.... cant decide between Lisa and Mary... both amazing singers...
@@skipzcs Oops...thanks for sorting that for me lol... Mary Berry is the UK cook duh! Merry Clayton is amazing...she was the 1st backup singer in studio... then Lisa is a powerhouse live....one sexy stunning lady... 💞✌🙏
As far as I Feel - SHE IS a Rolling Stone. She HAS Aged - But Her Voice is Still Fantastic - & She IS Still as Beautiful as she was 20Yrs Ago!! Take a look at Jaggers Face 20yrs ago AND NOW! - We ALL Get OLDER (I'm Doing it every moment of MY LIFE - Right Now! - oh Damn - a Few seconds Passed - Can't Seem to stop myself from doing it! - LOL!!) & Things Change - But A NATURALLY Beautiful Woman/OR Man With a Gr8 Voice - Will ALWAYS BE That Way - BEAUTIFUL & Wonderful to HEAR!! Thank You 2The Universe 4Giving us Fans The one & only Lisa Fisher - Her Existance has Made The STONES - AND the WHOLE WORLD - Better & MORE Beautiful!! ✌🎶❤👍
It's amazing how much restraint back up singers have. Especially a powerful voice like hers. Knowing you have an insane voice and talent that would blow everyone out of the water if you were ever centre stage. Glad she was able to showcase it
the Stones all seem to be in awe of fabulous Ms Lisa. You gotta bring the heat if youre gonna perform with these guys....she burned it! i mean Mick literally gives her a bow off stage
Lisa has a talent that few have. She is absolutely special. She could make a toy guitar sound good. Stones were very fortunate to have had her as a backup singer. They knew it. Nice post!
The amazing Lisa Fischer wildly rides on the incredible jolting wave of the band’s fantastic playing and Mick’s powerful vocal- what an awesome performance!!!
This is absolutely the best version - great guitars coming thru and that powerful Lisa Fischer OMG - just love listening to this over and over - killer
I'm 61 years old and seen them many times along with Merry. that insane solo of hers was the greatest I've ever heard. don't get me wrong Pat benatar and Mariah Carey truly amazing but for this backup singer to have these kind of pipes she deserved more stardom
What makes this performance great is not just Lisa Fischer. Along with Lisa, Mick and the whole group gave one of the best performances of their lives. To me Mick is the greatest showman of all the rock and roll frontmen and he's at the top of his game here. I just finished watching Sympathy for the Devil from the Stones' Rock and Roll Circus, and Jagger hasn't dropped off at all in 20+ years. I hope the group lives forever.
Wow, what a femme fatale-she just burned up the stage. And that otherworldly voice of hers. That was a tight performance with every step choreographed--fantastic.
20 Feet From Stardom brought me here, Lisa Fischer is brilliant, the other version with Merry Clayton is also brilliant, both the female singers and Mick bring the raw energy of the soul screaming out, I had no idea how brilliant the Stones were until now.
@Jenjen 100000 Same here. And I agree with you about both women being brilliant in this song. Merry has always been my favorite. Only from watching 20 Feet From Stardom did I learn of Lisa Fischer. I am smitten with both.
@@myIsabella53 Exactly, I refuse to choose one over the other, both women are phenomenal and I didn't realise how good Mick's voice was until now, this track is on my playlist and I play it constantly. UK
Easily the best, Tom. I get a bit irritated that it took so long to get her recognised, despite how long she’d toured with the Stones, at the whole band’s decision not just Mick’s.
This is like comparing day and night. Lisa's singing abilities, FAR OUT WEIGH, that of Beyonce and Madonna. No disrespect, just stating in your face facts!
One of the very best performances ever! Lisa Fisher is even stealing Mick Jagger the show. She looks and sings absolutely gorgeous here. Unique moments!
I don't think there is a single live track anywhere that matches this performance. They were absolutely at the top of the their game - a special moment in time. How many men would like to be transported to the front row in Club Paradiso Amsterdam that night in 1995 when Lisa Fischer strutted down to the front of the stage.
Lisa has since day 1 added so much to their performances . Other backups have come and gone but playing off of each other Lisa and Mick will always be the best at it !!! She's got her own overdue thing going on. Thank you Lisa for sharing yourself with us !!😎😎😎
One of my top 5 favorite songs and I agree 100% - this is the best version of it. Also its a hell of a music theater piece. Lisa is Jagger's foil in the act. Groups come and go but I don't think anyone will ever be at the level of the Stones when it comes to playing to a live audience. They are the masters.
@@darthravo Just watched her again and of course tears. I’ve got a theory that when a woman just wails like she does it resonates with some part of the brain that makes us cry when others cry.
