I had an aimcontroller for PS4 --- LOVED it. Also I had a mm trigger break on me, and I only had to pay shipping to get it returned. They did the fix quickly also. After that, I used it for months with no issues! I think I just got unlucky on mine. My wife and I ordered the PS5's not too long ago, cannot wait! We didn't do the mm triggers though, NOTE: if you are playing games where you need a variable trigger (such as driving games for gas) then the mm triggers will not work as intended. So we figured we would just do the first person shooter games with r1/l1 to shoot and ads.

For hair triggers I usually will flip my l2 and l1 and r2 - r1

I have the grips you have on he white dual sense. It’s okay I agree with the padding being a bit thick.

If your pads break you will always be able to replace then for free. Aim controller has life long warranty on their products.

Just bought the extremerate rise 4 rear buttons for my dual sense gonna get the metal rise 2 for my second controller only thing I'm swapping at the moment is face buttons as well and the small cover. For my sticks I've stuck with kontrol freaks as they are easy to swap

Great info. The price and wait time are concerning though. It might be worth looking into how much of these modifications can be done by yourself. I don't know how much of a technical hands on person you are? but personally, I'd be looking to buy the components, and some precision tools, and mod it myself. But then again, if you have the cash and not the time, I understand most people just don't want to deal with the hassle.

I have had mine for a couple months. Stock triggers, textured grip, programable paddles, and all black. After their discount code of 70 off I paid right at 170 to my door. Compared to my scufs and several other custom controllers I have used this is actually a decent price and it's still a "factory controller". I ordered extra sticks and tried to get extra paddles but got no response. After running a Scuf Vantage 2 for a little over a year it took some getting used to but seems to be as good if not better. Like the scuf the sticks have soft rubber that I seem to tear up very quickly, but when I wear them down a bit I just add a control freak. We will see how their warranty is when the stick drift starts.

I received mine today and the only issue I have is that the option, the PS home and screenshot buttons have to be press so deep and hard to work!!! Other issue that I’ve had was that playing Astro Playroom the blow to mic function didn’t worked and in some places it was like automatic blowing in game without me doing anything!!! But after the PS was synced entirely with the PS5, the second session that I had played worked perfectly with only the hard press issues with those three buttons, but nothing that I’m not getting use to it!!! Other than that, I’m in love with it and I don’t know how I’ll ever use a non paddle controller again!!! I love to remap crucial buttons in different games to have even protect my analogs and to play in a new interesting way!!! Maybe it’s not so comfortable cause it’s a bit bulky, but it feel well average!!!

So do the adaptive triggers not work now? For games like returnal or astros?

So I had a ps4 aim controller and I had no issues apart from standard controller issues like stick drift which aim fixed when I sent it back. But for my ps5 I had a couple of issues, 1. one of the paddles on the back broke so I contacted customer support and they sent me new paddles but advised me they not a 1 fits all and I might have to send my controller back to have them refit (they didn't fit so I just fixed my old paddle with glue) 2. My R2 smart trigger stopped working properly, half way into a gun fight some times my R2 wouldn't work so I wouldn't fire which ment I lost the gun fight. I sent it back for repairs which they advised me I was missing screws in the controller, so it wasn't finished when it was first shipped out. I have the controller back and it's working fine, the customer support is good, they want to please their customers, they are not a perfect controller, but I haven't found a perfect playstation controller yet

Have you tried the extreme rate rise repmap kit ps5 controller those paddles feel a little bit better but you have to take the controller apart and do it yourself. But 40 dollars compared to 280.. I think this option might be better but it what ever you prefer

With the Hair Smart Triggers, you need to find the setting in game for LT RT Threshholds you wont have that issue if you turn up the sensitivity in there

As you have both Aim and battle beaver can you tell me which battle beaver placement is closest to the aim paddles. I use all 4. I was thinking medium and busters. I had an Aim and paddles broke and sent controller to be repaired and got lost in post. The V2 paddles seem to be worse if you check the Reddit forum. So I was thinking about battle beaver.

Mine aim down sight is also glitching after 3 months and when i'm slide canceling in warzone the right thumbstick is glitching.. Great controller but not so durable as i wished! I'm exited to get my battlebeaver anytime soon🙌

I actually used all 4 on this controller I have one and mine took 6 weeks to get here and it was Xmas time and also I’ve used all these custom controllers and I have never broken a paddle if you hit your controllers hard they will break I am really gentle with my co trollers

I have had my eye on these aim controllers for a while, thanks for the honest review. I think I'll pass. For me personally, this is exactly why I play bumper jumper tactical FLIPPED. No worries at all about trigger deadzones or these clicky devices malfunctioning. I do not even know how to play an FPS using triggers for ads and shoot anymore, haha. I recommend anyone try out bumper jumper tactical FLIPPED. I don't even think if you get use to that button layout that anything but the stock dualsense is necessary. Just my two cents.

I had an AIM PS4 controller I got from PAX south in 2020. It developed really bad stick drift after about 6 months from casual use. I reached out to AIM to get it fixed and was willing to pay and was told they don’t warranty stick drift. They are their custom analog sticks! Don’t recommend.

Just buy the eXtreme rise kit and DIY, its easy, and 100% your controller is going to last WAY longer bc its the original controller, if your controller breaks just buy another one from Sony and rebuild the same kit, easy.

I modded my ps5 controller with a new rubber grip back plate, paddles that I would assume are better quality based off what he said, and then some control freak grips. I did the paddle mod myself and it was very simple if you are willing to do some diy. It cost me 70$ In total (not including the controller itself) I got everything on Amazon

How’s the controller holding up? I have an Astro C40. I play Warzone a lot, I had to replace the joystick on the controller a bunch of times. Eventually even the back buttons broke down for me. I’m looking for a ps5 controller for warzone. Have you tried hexgaming? I was thinking about getting this one or the hexgaming one.

I have had aim controllers for my PS4 i actually used to get mine at PAX East in Boston cause they were always there. They always had the best build quality/warranty. Just ordered mine for my PS5 cause they had Christmas coupons. Paid 188 for a regular 300 fully modded controller. Did all black like you, but only did smart bumpers not triggers cause I like having the option to use it with sony first party games cause if you do smart triggers you won’t be able to play like returnal for example. And they have a new back grip. I couldn’t get same all black grip like yours had to opt in for the new pro grip. Super excited just playing the waiting game!

Why do people get trigger stoppers when you can just flip the triggers in-game?

Have you guys have any problems with the controller not wanting to turn on. Mine Aim controller only worked for three day and won't turn on. It just blinks a orange light three times and then shut off. Does anyone one know how to fix this proble

Performance only, I can't wait ten weeks and don't feel like spending 300 so I jus got bare naked wit just remappable paddles AND 1-5 processing which is additional $60 but with the $55 discount code that covers the fast shippin, so controller/paddles, fast, cheap as possible comes to $150.

I build similar controller's, and they last they are the best on the market, side note don't pull them off the way you did, hold the base of thumbsticks and then remove the heads that way it's guaranteed to last. Its all I use hence my name for 280 you should of got more customization, controller purchased off me you would got a lot more customization for your money. Looks nice nonetheless.

I know why you have issues with your aim controller and why there are certain things about it that you don't like... I am a very serious modder myself and there are many things that I have noticed about their controllers and other modification kits specifically for the PS5 and more so specifically for the BDM 10 and the BDM 20 models of the Dual sense controller. If you would like to know this information please don't hesitate to get in touch with me and I will willingly share the information that I know which will maybe not only help you mod wise but may also help you save money in the future whilst doing so

I have 2 ps5 aim controllers. and the paddles are just a mess. V2 paddles break within a month(i even had an extra set of paddles, both had the same paddle broken in a month) epecially the long one because of the placement of the knob that goes in the controller. The v1 paddles didnt brake on me but they did wear down after 6 months of use and had to be replaced. Horrible quality. also my last aim controller the stick sensitivity is so, so bad. It is hard to explain but it's so different from all my other controllers. It made my aim a lot worse... especially close range and i've tried every sensitivity option there is. There is just fundamentally wrong with the aiming. So now i have 2 aim controllers that are partially broken and another battlebeaver with stickdrift after a few weeks. done with these custom controllers scams... My only hope is for a good official ps5 elite controller.

Would be a shame to drop 200 on another custom controller and get controller drift 2 months later

Hey, I kinda have a similar issue with the controller but mines is the R2 trigger that has that issue…also did the same for paddles. I wanted to buy extra’s and contacted their support team. unfortunately I was told you can’t just buy them and that they have a special machine they use to create them so it’s hard for them to make extras that work properly. But ultimately I am satisfied with the controller itself. Hopefully as their company grows things like extra paddles will be available for purchase. Oh last thing, I did purchase mines off of Amazon because my original order from their actual site would take soo long, came in about a week!

It seems like you somehow like scuff better than aim. I see your point but they are literally equally as bad. There controllers are good when it works but when something brakes than the controller is absolutely worthless. They are both just pure marketing and some quality

Scuf are not worth the price. Whilst I think they make decent controllers but they are just terrible quality. I would be extremely hesitant to purchase any more. I have 5 and 1 works properly. Now the one I use the most - is actually the only one working....
