One thing I love about The Dark Danny is his self awareness, how he is still able to acknowledge his past life and friends, despite now being anything but human. Even compliments them, granted in a more twisted way. "If I had even an ounce of humanity left in me, this would be a very touching little reunion".

But yeah, Maddie's sister didn't die. I do think that Dark Danny probably killed her too, to cut every tie to his human past.
@@soberman1958 Dark Danny has the better execution. Sure, Black caused trouble, but he's only related to Goku because Zamasu met the real Goku. He's not really personal towards the protagonist besides Trunks, and that's mostly because he killed his mom in front of him. Dark Danny is literally a future version of Danny, and he's smart enough to make sure his timeline remains unchanged, and he takes every moment to mock Danny because of that. Goku Black might kill out of some unfounded sense of justice, Dark Danny just likes to cause chaos and destruction, and that's probably what makes that future story more grim.
all forces of dark are always weaker than the greater forces of light. light can use time to defeat the dark, for example, dark Danny use the light and time against Danny and yet he came back with the issue solved and still beat him , mimicking is based on emulation which is based in light. the forces of light always win in the end in reality, if they don't then the story isn't over

Pariah Dark was locked away permanently, before them Pariah easily bested both Vlad and Danny without trying, it took several powerful ancient ghosts to beat him the first time. It was more on the side of luck that he was beaten second time
Truly the marketing of "greatest enemy" was no lie. Very fitting that Danny's greatest enemy was himself, more specifically his ghost side separated from his Human side and becoming evil.

1:00 I love how AWARE of the emotions he WOULD have about himself seeing his former loved ones. You'd think he'd just forget everything about them because he forsook his humanity, and it wouldn't matter. But no, he still even misses Tuckers sense of humor "in his weaker moments". He still recalls the time spent playing games with his friends, and he still knows how his older sister Jazz was always smarter than he gave her credit for, that was something past/present Danny never even admitted, showing unexpected foresight into Dannys mind. Despite all the guff he gives his sister for being a "know it all", he secretly acknowledges her genuine intellect.

Well, actually the writer for Danny did a narration where Danny becomes a very famous superhero in the future. He teamed up with his good future self to defeat Dark Danny.

@@zarkahmed3199 i think when Vlad split Danny into ghost and human, it had a side effect that also caused evil and good to be split. That's why Ghost Danny (evil) attacked Vlad and absorbed his powers. That also explains why Future Vlad is rather good since his ghost self was pulled out from him.

Dark Danny really was the ultimate enemy of Danny Phantom. He is the future Danny fears most; a future where he lost everything and became a monster that destroys everything. Worse, he wanted to make sure his younger self turns into him by insuring Danny loses everything the same way, even if that meant endangering his younger self's life.
i have a theory as to why danny's future self is full on evil when in the past his ghost half was not such i belive it had to do with the state of mind and what brought them there remember that episode where danny used that dream catcher ghost contraption to seperate his human and ghost half? both where in pleasent states; the ONLY reason they seperated was because danny wanted to be able to be a hero and spend time with his freinds; thus the seperation the human half was chill, relaxed and all about having fun, perhaps a little too much into the laid back and having fun aspect his ghost half was the hero steroetype; all about the heroics - full on hero mode there yet his future ghost half is evil, why? his state of mind up unitl that point the ghost half was never really seen as a curse, he was able to do things no one else could and he chose to be a good guy because of it and then, the event; upcomming test which has his human half NERVOUS as all hell a ghost fight later and danny finds out he now has the tests answers, he can cheat there is some back and fourth but ultimetly he decides that, why not, he risks his life to keep the peace, why CANT he do this ONE tiny little bad thing? that bad thing ends up having his freinds and family at the burger place right when it explodes danny is in complete greif and now....now he's not in the right state of mind he might be blaming himself, more importantly, he might blame his GHOST self for what happened - and this blame from the human half coupled with the greif of losing his freinds and family drive a wedge between the two, which results in danny asking to be seperated from his ghost half "if i didnt have my stupid ghost half i wouldnt have gotten those stupid answers and i woudnt have cheated, this is all because of my ghost half" where as the ghost half is the one that was always fighting to keep the peace "I did all the figting, ME, I RISKED myself OVER and OVER to keep us and our loved ones safe, its YOUR FAULT they died, YOU CHEATED, you CHOSE TO!" and then the seperation ghost danny at this point must have decided that "FINE, if you dont want me, then i DONT NEED YOU EITHER! i'll become MY OWN PERSON" so in his greif and rage, he seeks out another ghost half with more power to make himself feel complete - this comes with some of the evil vlad had to offer and i thiiiiink it kinda shows when he screaming during his transformation: everything that made him who he is is now being twisted that begruding respect vlad had for danny? now the two ghost halfs are together, that begrudging respect for them as a whole has probably changed from a type of respect for the person, to ONLY respect for the ghost and that begrudging part? the part that comes from the HATE vlad must have had for danny? well now thats not being twisted - its being amplified the ghost halves hated for danny from BOTH sides danny's side for the hatred he had for his human half cheating and getting his family and freinds killed and vlads half who hated danny as an oponent and an obstable now that he's a new being, he turns to his human half and shows him the same consideration he felt the human half showed him - none "you used me, got the people i cared about killed and then tossed me aside - now i return the favour. phenton" and at this point even the affection he had for this loved ones must have been warped; if my OWN human half did this to me, why would i want to assosiote with the other weak humans? remember vlads in there; he HATED danny's father jack, and matty CONSTANTLY rejected his affection and advances and the human boy danny? he was ALWAYS in the WAY, him and his little freinds, and that fat man jack.....oooh how he HATED his old freind for what he did to him so why assosiate with the humans? they bring pain and mysery, why not have fun and return the favour as for why he was hostile to the ghosts; again, pre-existing hate being warped he ALWAYS had to fight the ghosts to preserve his happy life, and it was a ghost fight that brought these events to pass, why NOT get a little well deserved payback
@@natedoge23 but they’re talking about Danny’s ghost half, which in previous episodes was heroic when Danny had split from him. Here, the special doesn’t fully explain why he turned evil and merged with Vlad’s half.
Don't quote me on this but I think it was mentioned that when Danny's ghost tried to take over Vald's ghost it corrupted Danny's ghost or both got corrupted, I could be wrong

Dark Danny is terrifying because of his power, his absolute dominance in every scene and what he represents, the darkest path possible for the hero. He is much like Injustice Superman or The Batman Who Laughs.
Danny's Ghostly Wail was such a great power added at this episode. It's displayed perfectly. Even with Young Danny it's so strong, it pushed Dark Dan back so hard, that it made him literally go 10 meters (30 feet) through the asphalt 3:23
And i hated how he just got the power and mastered it right there, while it took is dark version 10 years, plot armor always rubbed me the wrong way sometimes and this was one, because i really liked dark danny for him to lose like that so easily
@@On3_KennyActually you know, It's not really plot armor. He doesn't master it, nor does he get the ability to use it without draining himself of all of his power. The future version of himself can use it on a whim, The younger version nearly kills themselves while using it.

@@shadowmarauder6033 The graphic novel must fix some issues regarding Phantom Planet because the series is incomplete. One example would be that Tucker can't be mayor because he is easily corrupted by power and would betray his friends. This can be seen in the episode "What You Want" and "King Tuck" where Tucker gets hold of power and then abuse it. After abusing it, he began to betray his friends and do personal gain with it. I suggest that Tucker should get removed from his position as mayor.

it's frightening, ghosts usually sucked in the thermos are just sent back to ghost zone, but dark danny was so strong, he needed to be taken away by the ghost of time and remain in the thermus.
@@ilikepotatos5891 He's stil Danny, just the dark half, which goes to show that his ghost half was evil all along, but because he was still partially Human he kept it under control. Dark Danny is awesome as he is a dark reflection of Danny if he literally lost his humanity. Most good self vs evil self stories often just have the evil self be from a mirror universe or a version where the hero went through some stuff that made them darker, but I love Dark Danny as he is literally made from being separated from Danny's Humanity, very poetic. Plus he's got a great voice, great look, and proved wuite the match for normal Danny. Truely the "ultimate enemy."
@@TheZamaron He is not Danny's match, he far outclasses him in strength, speed, power and experience and is more bloodthirsty than him. Plus, it wasn't even a contest but a one-sided beatdown. How could Danny hope to beat someone with not only his powers but Vlad's too? He is not Danny's equal, he is his superior.

I wished this was the original ending instead of the horrific ending of Danny phantom. They could've easily just went with this and then after they defeated him they could've easily just had the graduation too and the original ending could've been a Christmas special.
