I run a dark magician/spellbook combo deck. It centers around fusion summoning and using spellbook of judgement to special summon Jowgen the Spiritualist at the end of the turn.
And yet the funny thing is, people keep going on and on about Master of Chaos. Yea, its a pretty good card but Timaeus and Dragon Knight are still the premier DM cards until Dragoon comes in.
And I've been playing Dark Magician since I got back into Yu-Gi-Oh in 2015. I'm glad the new support we have gotten over the years made this deck playable
i suggest chicken game instead upstart goblin, the opponent cannot use ash blossom for negate draw, also, if you use magicians souls effect, you can draw again! Happy to see finally illusion of chaos, but i'm sad for still no dragoon... he's the main boss monster of the dark magician and red-eyes archetype
This made me cry tears of joy. Now the dark magician is a little more viable, and we actually have support now, which makes me so happy time 2 re-download this game
the "new" support is not a big deal. The awesome thing is that they put soul servant in the new dm structure deck, meaning eveybody can be a dm player now for just 1,5k
Yup exactly its not exactly new lol been out forever Master Duel is like a whole year late. But facts now everyone can be a DM Player with only 1.5 gems
Its crazy how similar our decks are! I really love the new DM support. It almsot feels like a competent deck! Keep it up Atem. Do you you have any thoughts on using a 2nd upstart or 3rd preparation instead of chicken game?
Grab dark magic inheritance, bond between teacher and student lets you combo 2 cards from one, piercing defense is a must have replace upstart goblin and you got an easy draw one and damage boost. One for one can get ya easy low lvl special summons, allure of darkness is great in this deck. Strength in unity, chronograph sorcerer, astrograph sorcerer, witchcrafter golem ururu replaces one ash blossom and is actually more useful on the field. Still in testing...
I have been wanting to play the magician for a while. And it seems the time has come. Gonna skimp out of the Skill drain and the village tho. A magician should not have to hide behind floodgates.
Finally someone running dragon knight. Im facing alot of dark magician decks before the suppprt update that dont run this as early as possible, giving them a very easy self nuke.
Thoughts on branded? not worth taking out for skill drain I'm sure. Lol didn't use the chaos fusion but getting the dragon knight is more priority I bet.

it's a nice way to send herald of arc light and search illusion of chaos.. but when you make a good dark magician deck you always have to think about 2 things: deck space and strong going second
Dark magician is a sweet fan favorite archetype and I definitely want more of it. But I really want to see some more dark magician GIRL support. And me being the GIGA NERD that I am who is also in the process of making my own original TCG let's make some new cards for her just for fun. What we know about the archetype: She is the apprentice of Dark magician and often works together with him. She also has some of the same cards as DM just with an opposite effect or a slight twist. She has her fruit counterparts who are all different types and levels. And she has an unreleased japanese only magi magi magician gal form that can steal monsters and revive monsters. SO going off this let's make some new cards. 1.) Magician Girl the studious Scholar. 1000atk/500def when you activate a spell or trap card you may shuffle that card into the deck then draw a card. Once per turn you may shuffle 2 spell or trap cards from your hand into the deck then search your deck for any 1 spell/ trap card and add it to your hand. This card is treated as dark magician girl. ( This card is to represent dark magician girl as a younger teenager studying the arts of magic. The art would showcase a young DMG with some books. Her effect is a good searching effect and keeps rewarding you for playing spells.) 2.) Master Magician Girl, the Dark Scholar. 2300/1700 This card is treated as Dark magician and dark magician girl. When this card is summoned you may shuffle all spell cards in your graveyard into your deck then draw 1 card for every 2 spell cards returned this way. When you activate a spell card you may banish a card on the feild. Cards banished by this cards effect return to the feild during your end phase. ( This is Dark magician girl when she has become an equal to Dark magician and took up mastery over the dark arts. She can now do whatever the original dark magician can do. She also can shuffle spells draw cards and banish any annoying cards on the feild until your next end phase. Quick play spells will make this card a menace to society. Her art features a more mature DMG who holds an air of Superiority showing that she's not to be messed with.) 3.) Dark Magic Inferno Quick play spell Can only be played while you control a DMG. When activated you may destroy all monsters the opponent controls or you may banish all cards in opponents graveyard. Can only activate once per turn. ( This is an upgrade version of Dark Burning and is now a quick play. This card also gives you the option to cremate the opponents grave. This card shows DMG has stronger attacks.) 4.) Arrival of the Magician Girls Continuous Trap. When activated you may summon a dark magician girl from your hand. All dark magician girls you control gain 500 attack and defense. Durring the end phase you may shuffle a card from your graveyard into the deck. ( Similar to magician navigation but vastly different, she will use this card to be summoned then powers herself up and in addition shuffles a Card into The Deck during your end phase.) 5.) Dark Flame magician girl. 2500/1700 FUSION dark magician girl + a fire type monster. Whenever a spell card is used it inflicts 500 damage to the opponent. Whenever effect damage is delt all opposing monsters loose 500/500. This card is treated as Dark magician girl. ( Using her fruit counterparts she can take on new and powerful elemental forms! This gives uses to the flavor girls and relevance to DMG.) 6.) Luminous Magician Girl 2300/1700 FUSION Dark magician girl+ light type monster. When this card is summoned flip all face down monsters the opponent controls face up without any effect activation. Whenever opponent plays a face down monsters flip it face up without effects activating. You may discard a spell card then look at all cards in opponents hand and all face down spell and trap cards, cards cannot respond to this effect activation. This card is treated as Dark magician girl. ( Using lemon magician girl she can take on a new form! In this form she can light up the darkness and clear a path to victory.) 7.) Dark Chaos Magician Girl. 2600/2000 Ritual This card is treated as Dark magician girl. Once per turn you may negate the activation of a spell/ trap or monster effect and if you do destroy that card. Durring the end phase you may shuffle this card into the deck then draw 3 cards. ( This shows a corrupt student of dark magician and unlike her happy cheerful art this showcases her possibly in pain. She has a OMNINEGATE everyone's favorite...and she can shuffle herself during the end phase to get you 3 cards. Useful no matter how you want to use her.) 8.) Dark Gaia the magical Witch. 2900/2400 Fusion Dark magician girl+ a warrior monster This card is treated as dark magician girl. When this card becomes the target of attack you may summon a monster from either players graveyard and change the target to it then half the attack of the opponents monster. This card cannot be destroyed by card effects. If this card is destroyed you may summon a dark magician girl from your deck. ( A very strong card. Riding Gaias horse she is a mounted sage who can raise the dead when in trouble. I have the perfect imagine in my head of her art lol.) 9.) Magician Girl Secret Fusion. Quick play spell When activated you may fusion summon a monster using cards on your feild or hand as material, if your fusion summoning a monster that requires a dark magician girl you may use 1 material from your deck that meets the requirements of the desired card. You may banish this card and if you do you may normal summon any spellcaster without tribute. ( This is a good card for summoning the magical girls fusion form and it can let you summon a spellcaster in a pinch when you need it.) 10.) Dark Chocolate Illusion Girl. 2300/2300 XYZ 2 spell caster monsters. You may detatch 1 material from this card then create a magician girl token with 2000 attack and 0 defense level 6, then this token gains the name and effects of any monster on the feild or graveyard. Opponent cannot summon or activate the effects of a monster with the same name as a monster oy your feild. This card is treated as dark magician girl. ( A lethal brutal DMG who can lock you opponent out of good combos by copying their monsters.) I know I'm geeking out but what do you think of my fan made cards? Would you play them lol.
Really satisfying see top cheap decks like Spright and swordsoul rage quit. Especially sword soul That cheap cards, could summon rank 10 synchro just with one specific cards
I'd love it if Blue-Eyes could get some solid support next now. There aren't enough Blue-Eyes players for me to play against and when I do, I just end up removing their boards with Circle/Ebon combo. Or they're not even sticking with Blue-Eyes and is just using Xyz Dragons.
@@nickolasberrian9565 I've played against pure Blue-Eyes, but they normally get removed pretty quickly since Azure-Eyes only stops destruction. The only thing that can be a little challenging is Chaos MAX but I run Muhad and Piercing the Darkness so I can beat him with pure ATK.

Some fun victories here. I’m finally glad the Dark Magician support has finally arrived & made the deck more fun to play although right now I’m experimenting to see what works for me Only when Dragoon is free will the deck feel complete & I hope we don’t wait too long for that
blue eyes and dark magician are the most popular decks in yugioh.. sooner or later blue eyes will get op support .. don't worry blue eyes alternative ultimate dragon is coming soon :)
@Atem Awesome Dark Magician Deck Atem Dark Magicians have always been my favorite Archetype to play imo. The illusion of Chaos really helped this Deck I just wish we would get Dragons back. Anaconda is the problem. I had a question for you though? Master fuel thinks that This is a control Deck but I kind of disagree. Yes there are control elements but I always considered this Deck to be a ramp Deck ! Would you agree about this awesome Deck being a ramp? I mean continuous cards on the field like Dark magic cirlce and eternal souls. Field spells like Magicians salvation . I really feel like all the years I've played Dark Magicians that it ramps Like if the engine starts and you make it to turn 6 it's really hard to lose once you have ramped up for a few turns
i am diamond with it .. i think with dragoon banned that's the best we could do .. it should be unbanned soon i see no reason why it's banned because the problem is anaconda not dragoon at all we lack a strong boss monster .. also tried builds with DPE but having 3 cards that could brick you and have nothing to do with the deck is kinda annoying.. so it's better to play hand traps so you don't immediately lose if you lose the coin toss

I don't care anymore, I will build a dm deck with 3 lightning storm, 3 dark magic attack, 1 duster and 3 cosmic cyclone, with 3 dm copies and even magical curtain if I have to. To hell with Runick...
play 2 or even 3 copies of secret village.. but i think 2 is perfect with 1 terraforming if you are targetting runick maybe 2 cosmic cyclone too if you go too far you will lose to other decks and get bricked too because master duel is best of 1 format.. sadly we couldn't side deck anti backrow cards
That's great that you get all monster I get spells&traps instead of monsters so not the best deck 6/10 duels I get spells an traps this makes this deck omost dead an useless when everyone an there brother ashes maxc an you can't get any draw power on the field to make the deck even visible
