Hi !! @Tech Geek Akash What has been your experience with identifying vehicle number plates from opposite directions and vehicles parked on the side of the road during both day and night? In your video at 7:47, I noticed some difficulty in seeing the number plates of parked bikes and passing vehicles. Does the camera have a zoom function to enhance the visibility and clarity of the number plates? Appreciate it if you could create a follow-up video addressing the mentioned scenarios, utilizing both the front and rear cameras. Thanks!!
@mehulpande1491 Hi, thanks for watching this video... actually if the speed of your car is under 40KMPH then you can see numbers very clearly, of course the picture can be zoomed in or out. In this video I used a mobile software which unfortunately blurred the footage. At high speed I'm not sure that the numbers of other vehicles could be seen clearly...bcoz it depends on the sunlight or exposure to headlights etc.
@TechGeekAkash Good review. I have a couple questions for you. Why should one choose this over the G840H? Also, since this one has a very tiny screen on the device, can I connect a spare iPhone to it over wifi and use the iPhone as a live stream monitor like a rear view mirror? Also, if hardwired, can the parking mode switched on and off on need basis because permanently having the parking recording on is an overkill? Also, for hardwiring, where does it take power from, the fusebox? Your feedback would be much appreciated. Thanks.
Thanks @74osho for you comment, Your queries are warmly welcomed, 1. G840H has a larger screen which looks very nice and has amazing features.. But, It has to mount over rear view mirror and don't allow you to use car's stock mirror... apart from that at the night it reflects very much and creates difficulties in driving, or if you switch it off than nothing would be seen behind. Every time it has to be switched on before moving your car even if you don't want the camera to be on. 2. Using a phone as a reverse camera screen is not a good idea because wifi connection (which it has only way to connect) can delay the video feed which can be hazardous. 3. Hardwire kit can be used for 24 hours monitoring, wiring is done through Fuse box of the car... can only be harmful to the battery if your car runs less than 100 KM/week. It also require a large memory card to save the overnight feed. I hope I tried my best to help you with this...
In case of connting hardware kit to the power supply, we we still need to connect the cigarette charger? Also do you think its worth it when there are tons of other option under 10k?
I guess you missed the most important point .... does it capture number plate during different times of the day. I see from other videos on this topic that the performance is average. Maybe you can add this information
Thanks for pointing this out, it can capture numbers from a decent distance (approx 30 meters) in day and night too (but lights may creat some difficulties)...
Yes,in any car you can install, for continuous recording hard wire kit has to purchased separately. Will auto cut off after battery goes low required power supply.
Not possible to connect any mobile which is not in the wifi range of this cam.... but someone can send you the videos after downloading in his/her mobile.
