I've been a damn mechanic for 40 years, I thought I was over machinery. Nothing can kill a passion for something like making your living workin on it. I used to love cars, not anymore. I raced cars for decades, finally got wore out on it. Then I bought a bike I'd always admired, almost by accident, I wasn't lookin for one. I have a 91 R/100/GS, and I fucking love that motorcycle, I"ve averaged 15K a year since I bought it, 7 years ago, I'll never sell it.
Hab meine GS nun nach 10 Jahren wiederbelebt und war diesen Sommer endlich wieder unterwegs. Es hat sich angefühlt wie eh und je und es stimmt: 2 Zylinder, 4 Ventile und 60 PS reichen zum glücklich sein!!!

I have a GS 1200 Adventure, done a great deal of touring also, including 700 miles over the Arctic circle 178 miles away from the Russian border,,these are the memorys made my friend ,,people should realise it is just a case of stepping out ,and just do it,,these are the things that shape us, these are life experiences ,,colours the soul ,GREAT VIDEO !
Ich hab seit 10 Tagen eine 1150GS und bin von Dahoam (WS) in 3 Tagen über den Balkan nach Athen gefahren (Termin). Ich bin begeistert von dem Bike. Und jetzt seh ich Dein Video... Da ziehts in der Brust... ICH WILL FAHREN... !!!

Welches Motorrad fährst du heute? Hast du die Touren immer in Einzeletappen angetreten? weil 9 Wochen Urlaub am Stück würde mein Chef nicht genehmigen. ;-)
Super Video macht sehr viel spaß es zu schauen & inspiriert mich (21) sehr an meinem Reiseverhalten. Wäre cool mal paar fragen mir dem Mane über Langstrecken/Fernreisen klären zu können. Lg auch aus dem Schönen Bayernland .. Karl

sie mein herr machen es richtig ich bin jetzt 16 und fang gerade an motorrad zu fahren und träume schon von selchen reisen! Mein vater hat eine R100GS Paris Dakar Classic und mir schon von vielen reisen erzählt und ja jetzt ist es meint traum das auch zu tun. ^^
Your GS or your GSes..? I see three of them right? What happend to the first two bikes? I once had a red R100GS, but when the cardan broke in Spain in 1995 and I bought me a brand new R100R Mysic. I still have it and at this moment painting it for the fifth time. Black with white pinstripes, real classic. Really love the bike.
Not quite, it's actually only 2. A R80 G / S Paris-Dakar and then a R100 GS Paris-Dakar. The black is the conversion of the R100 GS I've done after 120.000km with parts of HPN, BMW ....... At the moment I drive a HP2 Enduro. :-)

Arbeitest du bei BMW? Was für ein Motorrad würdest du heute für so eine Tour verwenden? 1200 GS? was hälst du von der Triumph Tiger 800? oder sogar wieder mit einem alten Motorrad wie z.B. R100GS oder Africa Twin

Nee, BMW ist nur meine Verbundenheit mit Bayern. Motorradwahl? Ist nach meiner Meinung nur eine Philosophie. Du kannst mit allen Bikes auf Reisen gehen. Natürlich je weniger Technik um so einfacher. Leider gibt´s so was nicht mehr neu. Darum werde ich die HP2 dazu verwenden.
