MOTONOMAD 7000km and 7 countries on KTM 500EXC's 

The bikes were completely stock 2014 500EXC's. We put 80km on them near the factory in Mattighoffen, then they changed the oil for us and I assume they used Motorex Oil. We did 2500km before finding a KTM dealership in Istanbul, who sold us some more Motorex and I changed the oil myself using filters we had as spares. Next Oil change was done in Sharm El Sheik at 5500km. We left the same oil filters in them and rode the final 1500km through the deserts like this.

My wife and I are currently riding around the world, over 100,000 kms, 18 counties, 2 years and still going!! and I have to say this video is AWESOME! Keep up the good work!

I then went and bought Motonomad II right away and that's even better! I'm glad you guys have not made a 1000 movies because I would be broke...... Really looking forward to your next project.

Awesome edit. I once rode through the jungle and mountains in Indonesia for 4 months without a map on my own and really wish I had made a video like this about it. To think that is your life continuously is unreal. The feeling I got from that trip left me feeling like I can die a happy man. What a life u have created for yourself. Congratulations mate

I bought Motonomad today and have just finished watching it. Hats off to these two guys for their courage, tenacity and not to mention their riding skills. It is superb and illustrates the true meaning of extreme adventure and living the dream. The story, views, editing and the superb camera work all on their own make it a must see. Additionally we have one of the few stories that actually relate the true reality of the risk of traveling in these parts of the world now. Bottom line is this is an outstanding production.....and I don't say that lightly.

Speechless guys, simply speechless. I'd rather spend time and money to do this, than be one of the last at the Dakar finish line. You made it.

Allot of people have travelled the world on KTM's without support. Doing maintenance and fixing breakdowns is something that happens on every bike. It's part of the adventure of such a big trip.

Hey Adam, You confirm what we know - the 500EXC is the ultimate real off-road adventure bike, mine has crossed the Little and Great Sandy Deserts of WA unsupported! So much better to be on a light fuel efficient bike, opens up so much more of the world......

I have a 2004 525 exc that has been raced hard in technical enduros for 9000 kms and when I opened the engine last January ,apart from a valve not seating properly it was perfect.. KTM s are Super Strong ----7000 kms with an oil and filter change every week on a trip like that would be fine. Super video guys ,Temper Trap works perfectly with it . I ve sent this to all my bike buddies and booked my offroad trip to the sands for Christmas. Truly inspirationally ,Best of luck to you both.

Something amazing Adam 7000 km or one country accounts for 1000 km. I see that the tanks had probably increased to 20 or 25 liters. And as exercised in KTM'a in these climates and conditions? KTM simply unbeatable!

It was a XAircraft X650 Pro I saw it in one of the shots. It has a height control by GPS so all you would have to do is set it to go forward, sideways etc and take off and ride under it, then land it. If it gets out of reach of the radio it will go back to the point of take off... RTH (Return To Home) feature.

I had the remote around my neck with the throttle set on full with velcro. I crashed the drone a couple of times because it was so hard to pick the changes in ground altitude over a long distance. The blue bag on my back was mostly occupied with the drone case. Lightweight, but a little bulky ... and yes, you will see some behind the scenes at the end of the movie.

Perfect. Looking forward to the release of the full video. I enjoy watching this to remind myself of the possibilities of another way to approach life.
