🤔 that works on the undercoat very well, however, the hair he leaves behind (where he lays) is mostly the topcoat, have you found a brush that can handle that? I'm still looking 😬
The furminator is probably the best thing I’ve ever purchased as a dog mom to two blue heelers. My babes loved to be brushed! We live in Texas, where there’s really no true seasons so it’s pretty much year round shedding. The furminator has been a lifesaver! Glad Lou loves it too! Not to mention, I find it to be so satisfying and weirdly therapeutic 😂
My blue heeler isnt the biggest fan of being brushed because when he was younger I really never needed to! He is just now starting to get used to it. Love this channel!
I do have a few questions though. How did you teach Lou to follow you and stay by you with a leash? My girl doesn't shed so much any more since she has gotten comfortable which I appreciate so much. She's the best. Also is there anyway that you know to get them to stop jumping on people. You're right she doesn't want there attention just to say hi but she will constantly jump. However sits on asking and everything else
I have dog pound rescue heeler hes around 1 year old and what treats would you recommend?? Some treats ill buy but he spits them out and leaves them lol
Hi liz & lou!!! Love the furminator brush. I HIGHLY recommend using furminators dehsedding shampoo & conditioner. It really helps a whole lot when using all three!
I was looking at that earlier this year and didn't know how it would work and now I know. I taught my dude to get in the tub for "brushies" (he catches onto words surprisingly well). That took a couple years to do 😅
I want to say thank you so much for being such an amazing person and taking your time to teach people how to live with a cattle dog c: I am getting my cattle dog soon and I will be teaching him everything I learned from you ♥ I decided to watch all of your videos and I am still missing a few but I watch a couple every day. I live in Costa Rica and plan to explore many places with him. I may open an instagram account to share our adventures, if I do I'll let you know, again thank you so much and keep being such a wonderful person
I have been using that on Gus for a couple years! Great brush and he is finally enjoying being brushed. You just have to be careful not to brush to hard. Ear scratches to Lou!
I like to use the Furminator and Sleekez on my dog. Furminator gets the surface hair and Sleekez gets the inner dead hair and seems less harsh in the areas that don't have as much hair. Great video liz!❤️
Hi Lou & Hi Liz! I’ve found your channel very helpful & I guess, comforting! I’m currently raising a 4.5 m/o blue heeler during these strange “social” times. It’s been a challenge on top of a challenge at the least. I’m mostly curious if Lou was ever aggressive towards other dogs around this age? & if so did it get any better with training? It’s at the point of embarrassment taking him on walks & encountering other dogs/people, and I know eventually it will become much worse than just being embarrassed..I’ve been working on it myself & enrolling him in behavior training this upcoming week; just curious how Lou acted around this age & if there is any hope!?
I have a red heeler, he sheds a lot! I give him omega 3 capsules for his hair and skin & I also have that brush! I brush him everyday and he still sheds a lot 😰 does your pup shed ?
