I've used DJcity as my go-to record pool since around 2013, but I've been pretty disappointed by it recently so I'll definitely give BPM Supreme a try!
For me DJ city use to have the tunes before I'd heard them on the radio, now I'm hearing tunes on the radio and DJ city doesn't have them. The only problem I'm finding is I need a record pool that has all the RnB hip hop and UK stuff as well as the house side of things.
💯 agreed mate, it just doesn’t have half the stuff it used to! Yeah and for sure, I feel it misses a lot across genres so you always have to top up elsewhere. I think that’s the same with most of these pools these days.
Good video. Would love another vs between pools like Headliners, Clubkillers, etc. Would also have liked it if you mentioned both of their mobile apps, and that an advantage DJcity has, is their desktop app. Also, BPM goes months, sometimes close to a year without updating their curated playlists. Right now, their trending list top 40 songs hasn't added any new songs to it sings around June. Overall great stuff though. Good comparison.
Great Video . . I'm the Free trial of the Soundcloud DJ .. But because it's STREAMING you CAN'T SHARE, download and so many limitations. What's the point. So I'm looking at these Next
Good review I've been with dj city for a while and got bored with the lack of big tracks BPM supreme sounds worth a go. Cheers Karl, keep the vids coming mate
Hi CT Im new to the channel 1st video i watched was regarding the HD25 headphones I now have a pair on the way As for the BPM supreme When you say download does that mean i can put them on usb stick and keep the tracks ? I have a xdj xz so it a standalone system There for i use just a usb Thanks
Great choice on the headphones! As for the record pools- yes download means you own the track so can store on a laptop and then transfer onto a USB. Great controller you have there!
That’s a very specific ask…I would recommend buying individual tracks. Record pools usually cater for up to date/ current tracks. BPM supreme has some throwback stuff but you are looking for something very specific. Online record stores are your best bet. Not a pool.
@@djkarlthomas Sadly I can't find this track to buy anywhere without a credit card. Would have bought the vinyl secondhand and sampled the track myself if I still had turntables. Anyway, thanks for your thoughts on this.
sorry this maybe a stupid question but I have never used a record pool and just bought downloads. Are the downloads encrypted in any way do they prevent you recording your dj set if they have tracks from either record pool?? also do the download tracks still work if you downloaded when you was subscribing but if you have cancelled your subscription or do they only work for the time you in in a subscription period??
Thanks for the question- you can record sets no issue. If you cancel the subscription you also do not lose the download as the file is physically placed onto your machine. Streaming services however you will lose the music.
Is there a website that provides the songs at the bpm you request it to be, as recorded from a vinyl record and not bpm-stretched from a .wav, .mp4, .aiff, ect. files which causes a great loss of sound quality as when you do it yourself beyond 3 bpms on your own computer's DAW?
Just starting out and when you cancel your subscription to bpm supreme are your downloads removed? (May sound silly) I thought if you’ve downloaded them you are yours. Starting out I would like the best sounding quality music but may not have the requirement to be paying every month.
@Karl Thomas You got it bruh! Btw your video is put together excellently. I'm here revisiting, needing a refresher, because there's a chance I might be DJing for a small department picnic at my job and I really-really don't have enough 80's and 90's R&B! (My iDJPool lacks them) And again it looks like I shall go with BPM Supreme!
I have some track from bpmsupreme that I downloaded I got told of because the audio was heavily compressed to the point where there's no dynamics have u had any issue with the track I'm trying to figure out what's going on I myself is a dj whan I played the track through 8-inch speakers there was no bass
I have never had an issue with any record pool downloads. If you are djing on 8-inch speakers and have no subs I am not surprised that you didn’t have any bass. Speakers of that size are too small for a full range sound with rich bass.
I appreciate the information but what's the best DJ Pool for up and coming individuals that can't answer the 4 questions for like BPM Supreme. Basically, someone that isn't a Professional DJ. I'm looking to build my library. Thanks
To be honest- don’t be put off by the questions on BPM, they are all automated and not checked in depth by an actual person. I know quite a few beginner DJs that have it. Best thing to do is try a record pool and see if you like it. Each one will have slightly different music and suits people differently however they are not a one size fits all- you will have to top up your collection with tracks from elsewhere too. Best of luck!!
If you want that type of quality file you are best off going for buying your tracks individually through a site like beatport. Crate connect and some other pools do offer WAV files but it’s not for all tracks
No record pool is going to be a complete solution in my years of using lots of different ones. They are a good starting point and then you will need to top up your tracks using other sources.
kinda surprised that you're not talking about the legality of promo pools and how it is ILLEGAL to post throwback content. which is why DJcity doesn't post it.
@@djkarlthomas fair enough. Might be worth researching as these illegal companies will face repercussions soon if not already (BPM has already purged a ton of content, removed music videos, etc).
they are both sucked ,,,the best one is franchise record pool. both bpm and dj city they enough music on them .can you imagine bpm supreme only have 3 Mary j bridge song
