People commonly refer to the cinematic rule of the 180-degree shutter angle (twice the frame rate), but is it okay to leave it on automatic without worrying too much? Isn't motion blur crucial in cinematography?

Isn’t the footage mainly from morning or evening and isn’t it looking so good because of the time? I doubt that the settings alone create it

ND filters and getting a 180° shutter frame rate between those same ev measurements will help too.

Wait! So you add ND filters and change the shutter manual to 1/180?

@@bac4728 no 180° degrees on the shutter. 1/2 of the time each frame is exposed which is 2x whatever the frame rate is when rated via the portion of a second method for frame exposure. But yes your control both the shutter speed and the ND filters when aperture cannot be used and sometimes even when it can be used because you may want a wide open aperture for depth of field reasons.

@@jeremyleonbarlow I tried it today... ND filters on Action 3 with manual settings to record on a 24fps and shutter 1/50. I still seed that jelly shaking (no gimbal and rocksteady). I don't think there's.a way to get around it since I have no gimbal.

@@bac4728 A gimbal was assumed in my scenario. Rocksteady off would be better even without the gimbal.
