I do acrylic pouring & bought these same split cups from Temu, I find if you put them in a sturdy container roughly the same size, you can hold them properly without the flimsyness..
I just got one of those split cups from Temu, haven’t used it yet but watching this video makes me want to!! I have recently been playing with resin and molds. I make tumbler’s but also love playing with resin on my channel! Also just subbed 😊! Have a wonderful day! Purple may be an interesting color for this technique!
Lovely! Thank you. I see a little area in the middle where there isn’t much going on. I watch ‘pouring your heart out’ and I was wondering if you try the suctioning method she uses with a syringe in the middle if that would affect the dragon scale effect in any way. Maybe you could try it as an experiment. I’ll be watching. Thanks again
Wow what a cool idea with the split cup puddle pour, it helps to see where the resin goes in the piece as well. It would be really neat to see something in green I think! Just subscribed :)
If you do all your steps then sprayed more alcohol on top and sprinkle some heavy metallic mica across in splatters as it falls threw the alcohol it should expand becoming more fluid if evenly sprayed or splattered over it make bigger scale effects.
With resin dice makers, I have seen a lot will start pouring from the split cup into a throw away or a random mold while holding it over the intended mold, then start pouring into the intended mold once both colors are flowing! I have no idea if that made any sense, sorry lol
Когда первый раз налили красный с белым, можно было еще кольцо синего сделать, а потом налить ещё раз красный с белым. Мне кажется, синий сделает дополнительный шарм и объем всей картине❤😊
I LOVE THAT RED! CAN YOU TELL US WHAT BRAND THAT IS? THE COASTERS ARE GREAT, VERY PRETTY, AND I REALLY LIKE THEM. YOU PROBABLY KNOW THIS, BUT FOR THOSE WHO DON'T, BEFORE THE SPLIT CUPS CAME OUT, THIS POUR WAS DONE CALLED A "KISSING POUR." YOU JUST BRING TWO CUPS OF COLORED RESIN VERY CLOSE TOGETHER AT THE RIMS AND POUR. IT'S THE SAME EFFECT.
The red mica was red scarlet but they don’t make it anymore so I am looking for a similar one and when I find it I will post the name and brand in the comments 😀
Hello Jules thank you for the sub the mica is scarlet red by magicfly but I have just looked on Amazon and they don’t do mica any more I will try to find a similar colour and put it in the comments, sorry I have had these for ages.
6:19 May I ask why you aren't wearing full PPE, and letting animals into an area where there are toxic chemicals about? I'm an experienced resin user and cannot understand why people do not use resin in the safest way possible. Companies may say their resin is low odour etc. but there has to be a chemical reaction when the two parts are curing, which can release vapours for days and weeks post cure. Please understand this is only me banging the safety drum as I know people who are now allergic to resin due to over exposure. It's an amazing art to do so please be safe and set a good example to your followers! 🙏🏻
Thank you for your comment not that I have to explain but I work next to an open patio door and have an extraction fan on funny enough I did a video about Moe pushing the door open as we have just lost his partner in crime our 16 year old Westie. I work in a very well ventilated area and wear every thing appropriate other than a mask as I can’t, I was also Covid exempt from wearing a mask. I do appreciate your concern and understand that I should set an example, please understand I am very aware, Moe is not in the room with me that long as he is chased out but you will still hear him.
If you have the four or six compartment spilt cup it may work better. They have more material in them and therefore more stability. I know it works that way with acrylic paint. Lovely result.
