Hello. Is the ball still intact? In your opinion, is it enough (for drift/rally) to put a squash ball on the t3pa brake pedal or is it better to replace the springs as well?
Yes the ball is intact, the air inside the ball is what provides resistance. All of the pedals feel light, so I probably wouldn't change out the brake pedal spring without doing the clutch and throttle at the same time. I didn't have my springs upgraded but probably a worthwhile mod as the springs tend to be pretty inexpensive.
Would be interesting if you do a similar vid, discussing your settings for Alpha Mini. I have the same base as you and am just learning to go sideways :)
I'm still trying to find a setup I like 100%, so probably will be a bit before I can do a video on it. That said, definitely a lot more complicated than the T300 setup, even smaller settings make a pretty big difference in feel.
I was wondering why I was having such a hard time learning then realised my rotation settings was set at 1080 and my ebay special handbrake was bugging out and basically always on by a few % so I had to raise the minimum on that. Turns out it's not so bad now
If you plug your wheelbase into a laptop or computer you should be able to still adjust the wheelbase settings that way in the thrustmaster app. You would not have access to the later parts of the video as that's PC only. Best you could do is try to mirror the settings that are available in the PS4 assetto game. Looks like gain, rotation, and all those settings should be in there.
So I have a Logitech g920 and i am wanting to learn in sims before i total a car in real life 😂 Is it going to be worth it to sell my wheel and splash the extra cash for a thrustmaster or is a gear driven wheel going to be good enough do you think?
The problem with logitech gear driven wheels is that they don't spin fast enough to simulate a real car, so you wind up frantically trying to force the wheel to countersteer faster. That's not how cars handle in real life, so learning with that wheel is going to create some bad habits. Honestly I'd very much recommend upgrading to a thrustmaster T300 at a minimum. I talk about this and show a quick example in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LjwHcrjrIsU.html
@@Nathan_Simsif you haven't already done it.. the t-300 is an absolute huge upgrade from my gear driven g29 I had.. makes the g29 feel like a cheap toy
