I think you can find great quality at an affordable price. I know you’d mentioned that several products weren’t good quality. I think I’ll skip those lol. However, I’m happy I discovered your channel. I’m 49 and love watching channels that are my age demographic ❤

Your Maybeline eyeshadow stick is a winner!!. It’s the first thing I notice about your makeup when I watch this video. What shade is it? My best find at the pharmacy this year was Primavista 50+ primer in the shade melon. I reach for it all the time. Cancels out a lot of redness and makes me look like I have natural, flawless skin when I’m wearing no makeup! Thanks for all your fun videos this year! I’ve noticed what a great active listener you are and how genuinely interested you are about your audience.

Thanks for a fantastic review of drugstore products. I bought Catrice Under Eye Brightener in 010 Light Rose. ( to the best of my knowledge there are only 2 colours). It contains Shea butter, is very easy to apply, blends beautifully and does exactly what it claims to do. All the best for 2024. Thank you for the great videos during the year.

Hi Sue hope you had a fabulous Xmas and best wishes for a healthy happy new year. Onto “affordable” favourites from this year. I don’t have one in every category, but the stand out products were: Revolution superbase primer- a “dupe” of the BB vitamin enriched face base without the scent. Works so well for my super dry rosacea and eczema prone skin to stop my face sucking every vestige of moisture from my foundation 😂. Elf corrector in the pot for under the eyes- creamy and emollient in a range of shades. Works far better for me than the Bobbi Brown version Maybelline cheek heat liquid blush- pretty shades and wears fairly well Revlon liners - the best of the affordable brands Essence liners - almost as good with a better shade range Catrice 5 in a box eyeshadows in diamond lavender- the quality is decent but I love the colour story and it’s so pretty on my pale cool toned skin Catrice swirl lipgloss- pretty shades and not sticky Catrice lipsticks- good formulas and shade range at a decent price Elf lipstick in the fancier packaging- really good formula and nice shade selection There you go my “affordable” favourites I found this year. I really enjoy quite a few Kiko products but they are probably more mid range (although often similar prices to Max Factor and Milani etc here in the UK). Their shadow sticks and water shadows are fantastic for reference. Best wishes x

Great video, Sue! Fully agreed on the SPF in foundations. Can't say I dipped too much into drugstore. Without testers, I hate guessing, so means I usually spend more to get the right shades/colours etc. But I'll try... Foundation: Rimmel Kind & Free in Vanilla. Beautiful on my skin. Mascara: Maybelline Sky High in brown. It is ok. Blush: Milani cream blush in Merlot. I love it so much I want to try other colours. Lipstick: Maybelline Matte stick. Not sure of the colour, but very capable product. Eyeliner: Essence in a nude beige colour. Perfect for waterline. My goal for 2024 is no buy for everything but mascara. I have more than enough.
