I own a pair of the Sidi Adventure boots and they in my opinion brilliant but flawed. They offer fantastic protection, look great and cover a lot of bases in what you want in an off road/adventure boot. However, they are like wearing bags of cement on your feet. They lack feel, response, not very tactile (just my opinion and purely subjective). For example, there is no feel or sensation when changing gear or using the rear brake. The boots also have a tendency to squeak and you walk like a storm trooper off the bike.
Tried on all these except the Revit and just bought the tall version of the Forma Adventures. I liked the feature set on the Sidis but Sidi makes boots for narrow feet only. Two sizes larger than I normally buy, several cm of empty space at the toes and still painfully narrow. Corozal was like slippers but I wanted more protection.
Hello from Spain, Question about Forma Adventure Boots. I live in an area were it is about 25º C (77º F ) to 32º C ( 89º F) all (!) year round Questions:How do the Boots behave in that temperature ? Do you sweat a lot wearing them during the Summertime ? Thank you. Honda Africa Twin Honda CB 1100
The boots are fully waterproof, so they don't breathe as well as non-waterproof boots. However, most adventure boots are waterproof, so it's hard to get around that. In that temperature range, these boots will feel warm. However, if you wear merino wool or wool-blend performance socks, that will help keep your feet cooler. -DrewZilla
Hi. I just did an epic 8000km trip through tropical north Queensland (in the wet season too) and outback Queensland from Sydney, Australia on my Honda grom all on my forma adventure boots. I used the tall ones rather than the low on your table. any particular reason you chose the low over the tall variant for this gear guide
Unless your calves are much larger than average, the Armaxion Pants will fit over the Sidi Adventure 2 Boots. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/rukka-armaxion-pants *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/sidi-adventure-2-gore-tex-boots
Would an adventure dual sport boot be better for trial riding or a mx boot , just starting out after a long time away , love the videos very helpful with excellent product reviews.
If you're doing actual trials riding, you probably want to use trials boots that provide more feedback. Here are some great options. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/alpinestars-tech-t-boots *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/sidi-trial-zero-boots *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/forma-boulder-boots
What is your opinion on where TCX EVO Gore-Tex Boots falls in this? Was it too short to make the line-up or is not so much an adventure boot? Is the mesh too fragile for off-road?
Which EVO boots are you referring to? The Jupiter EVO Gore-Tex, Explorer EVO Gore-Tex, or Airtech EVO Gore-Tex? All three are too short and a bit light to be considered dual sport boots. The mesh is definitely a little more fragile for off-road riding. -DrewZilla
RevZilla hey! CS@rev... answered. was looking at the Airtech. Went with Forma Adventure. Was told Airtech didn't have enough torsional or lateral protection. Gonna have to deal with the heat, looks like. 🤘
