BEST EATS in NYC Herald Square! | NY Pizza Suprema, Ichiran, Jongro, Best Bagel & Coffee

We all find ourselves in the 33rd street/Herald Square area of Midtown Manhattan in New York City at some point in our lives! Whether we are tourists visiting the Big Apple, we're working in an office in that area, or we're meeting friends in a central part of the city, it's a busy part of town for a reason. This neighborhood gets a bad rep for being filled with tourist traps, and rightfully so, but every neighborhood in NYC is filled with amazing eats! Even tourist neighborhoods have food gems that locals will travel across borough to eat at. Follow me on my food adventure as I grab breakfast at Best Bagel & Coffee, eat two lunches at NY Pizza Suprema and Ichiran Ramen, and finish my day with a Korean street hot dog at Jongro Rice Hot Dog.

I like bagels toasted as well. I hope when you went to Schwartz's in Montreal you also went to St. Viateur Bagels for next level Montreal bagels.

I tried Ichiran in Tokyo, and although it is good, it was not the best over there. There was also long line up there as well, but I think the best ramen was a mom and pop place that I happen to find by accident while touring around.

Best Bagel and coffee was amazing. I took 12 home with me the day I flew back home in FL. That bag was huge and heavy. I should have tried more flavors. Really good pick!

Hey, UA, I"ve been watching your vids for my upcoming trip to NYC in May. Very helpful, so huge thanks. Question: how the hell do you keep from getting fat after putting away all those steaks, pizza slices and cream cheese bagels? Okay, when I was your age I didn't worry about it too much - but that was then, LOL.

Pizza Suprema is bae, and although I like best bagel, liberty bagel is excellent, right up the block, but I absolutely love Essa bagel on 32nd.

"Definitely a more exotic and refined eat..." NO, that soup is the bagel and lox and pizza of Japan. Each of those foods are exotic in their own way.

I don't think the word "exotic" should be demonized the way it is being right now. He is right... for the average American who is not Japanese, and especially not Asian, ramen *is* exotic. It's not their cultural, ethnic, or ancestral food. And as far as typical NY foods go, they have no claim on ramen- only Japan does. As an Asian-American myself, not sure why people are so offended by basic terms nowadays. Believe it or not, it works both ways too. Western food is considered "exotic" in Asia as well and yet I don't see people in Asia losing their shit with either scenarios.

@@blue3374 My issue was the use of the word, "refined." Yes, ramen is still "exotic" in the US (but not as exotic as you think in the big US cities, sorry), but to stick the term "refined" on it just shows ignorance and cultural bias. That soup dish is just as "refined" a food as that bagel and lox sandwich, and a really top-notch NYC slice of pizza is.

The problem with garlic anything and wearing masks is you're smelling your breath! Lol I've gotta be very careful of when I have garlic. And best cheese slice is the pizza place in Penn station!

How can a "hipster" blogger who ate at every pizzeria in MANHATTAN claim that a midtown pizza joint is the best NY style cheese slice in all of NYC? I thought there were five boroughs in NYC. I doubt that midtown pizza joint is beating spots in Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island.
